Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

@DisneyLifePapioNe , thanks for your reply! Maybe going at that time (right after SWGE's POSSIBLE opening) isn't a good idea ! We're actually not going for GE, it's just the time of year we'd like to go to Disney, and of COURSE we want to go every year! But maybe we should hold off? In regards to the BB, the current offer I saw floating around does in fact go right up to before Christmas, so perhaps as you mentioned, that gives us a clue...

Don’t get me wrong anytime is a good time for Disney!!!!!

I’m used to going down for a week also in February because I go to the Daytona 500

So you'll be at CCV! Yay more pool time! :flower1:

Unless GF cl opens then I'm ditching you for TJA:rolleyes1

Crazy! 3 trips in a row for me that we stayed at the same resort!!!! Feel free to come hang out with the crew!! Who’s coming with you this trip?

It’s totally ok! I probably won’t even realize it!! I still can’t believe there will be so many of us!! Hope we don’t get into too much trouble!!!! lol

DH and DS.

DD just got a new Job in her field (HR). She told Vineyard Vines where she has been a manager for 15 months that she would stay on PT for the holidays for some extra $ . She only has off 22nd. She is going to her new BF's home for the holiday so that works.

I sure hope i can get CL access. I haven't seen the new lounge other than @GADisneyDad14 and others pix. I think my guys will like it.

So nice DH and DS will join you! Hope to meet them! Sorry DD can’t make it, but she sounds like a busy girl! I told my DH you’ll be at the Lodge and he laughed! Too funny!!! I can’t see you not being able to get it. We haven’t been in WL CL since the year before they started construction, so I can’t even help you there. It looks beautiful!!! Good luck, hope you get it! Looking forward to seeing you again!

Thanks for reminding of that. I didn't care for that balcony my last cl stay.

I am dreaming of that cobbler......

I don't mind the balcony....we usually stand anyhow at night to watch the water parade.... but YES the cobbler! Yum! And seeing your avatar I am now craving a pineapple dole whip....the local place has dole whip but very rarely ever has pineapple....and of course its just not the same....:-):mickeybar

We were last on CL Nov 16 and the lounge was in the VP suite....the location and view was nice but the food was sub par....from what I have seen it looks even better than ever. I do appreciate after eating park food a lot being able to get fruit and veggies to help balance things out. Plus I love having oatmeal with cranberries in the morning, and sometimes scrambled eggs. Someone said you can't get a hot breakfast, but I have seen sausages too...and surely saw pancakes. I was not able to use main elevators and curious to see how one enters the CL area vs the DVC area after getting off elevator. princess:

The elevators on the 7th floor used to all have access but now you need to use the ones on the resort side. My room last time was over there so I know I can take the one by RF and the one in the lobby on the left side (if entering from main entrance).

Wait if you in suite we used to walk past it. Now the lounge is on that side of the resort fyi and just up the hall from the suite.

Whhaaat? Ok used to be all four? lobby elevators went to all 7 floors, but you needed to magicband the club level, or insert card, years back.
So they were all shut off 11/16. All were using the bank of elevators in lobby by water feature with bridge. Are you telling me there are MORE elevators (not including the Roaring Fork) or that one or more of original bank is used to CL and or DVC/vs regular resort? Please explain because I am confused...thought I read there was a different door you had to access once you got off elevator to enter into the club level side.....

You can use the lobby elevators to get up to the 7th floor lounge / CL rooms. There is a gate/door on that “crossover” walkway / hallway on that floor that goes to the resort-side with a MB scanner on it.

You can also use the elevators down by Roaring Forks too.

Hope that makes sense.

Awesome thanks! So now anyone can get off on 7, but you cannot get past gates without magicband CL. Used to have scan on elevator itself. Wonder if the Presidential and VP suites are still intact?

A few months ago Disney changed the description of the Standard Rooms on the website from “Standard Room - Club Level” to “Standard Room - Club Level Access.” In the world of Disney’s website, the phrase “Club Level Access” is most often used in circumstances where CL rooms are not on the same floor as the lounge.

I may be wrong here, but I was under the impression that the general thinking amongst us DISers was that they had opened other rooms besides just the 7th floor to be CL elgible. However, I don’t think I’ve seen any definitive reports yet of someone who stayed CL but wasn’t on the 7th floor.

I may have missed info somewhere along the way, so take that with a grain of salt in case I have my facts wrong.

However, I have always assumed opening up more CL elgible rooms made sense given the incredibly tiny room count on the 7th floor - it’s much smaller than any other CL (with the exception of Tower Club).

Big caveat on the above in case I’m wrong!

Just read this and interesting that when I finally found some days on CL a few weeks ago, it did in fact say Standard Room Club Level Access. After a modification and a few phone calls both to DSS and the usual phone peeps, they BOTH assured me that I would be on the 7th floor. Then my itinerary stated such too....and oddly enough I looked today and was playing with the same dates and NOW it says Standard Room Club Level on a search.
Makes no sense but I too was worried that I would be elsewhere with access.....wish we had someone staying there soon that can debrief on the concierge scoop from the CL. :-) :genie: Or maybe a little Genie could sneak in to investigate:magnify:

Ha! It would be our first time @trishadono ! I've been keeping an eye on Friday night RPC but it doesn't even show up for full price, ever. I think a non-CL GF room will work ok for us the first night because we're going to head to HS right when we get there and plan to stay through the Jingle Bell show. So we wouldn't use the CL anyway, but it would be nice to not have to switch rooms, though just a short walk over and we're there.

Sounds like a lot of DIS families are headed to WDW over Thanksgiving! Even though a super short trip for us, we're happy to at least be able to get there for a few days. I really love the Christmas season there!

Yikes...this has never ever happened before, I was searching rooms on WDW site and without me doing anything it became the UK site....seriously, I have never even looked at that site before. I mean I was even using my usual bookmark as its a frequent page...... :rolleyes1 So I tried to check the price for the WL but when I got to it, it said I had to call for availability.

Wow, wasn't expecting that! We check in on Thursday so that will be fun to see the progress. Anyone know how long it usually takes to finish?
It will be finished just before Thanksgiving, usually has grand opening the weekend before.

Have a great trip!

Thanks, we had an amazing time!! Can't wait to go back :goodvibes.

@mickeynut1 I hope you have a wonderful trip!!!:dancer:

Thanks....we had the best time!! :wizard:

Hi all!

We just finished up a two week trip, having a split stay of 3 nights at Poly, 3 nights AKL, and a week at CR. Our trip was fantastic, I think other people who also went recently covered almost all of the information I wanted to share, but here's my little bit anyway.

Thanks for your review. Glad you had a great trip :).

Just back from a nice 6 night stay in Sugarloaf. I am happy to answer any questions for folks that might have upcoming stays if I can.

Hope you had a great time :wizard:.

Checking in in 24 days!

Have a great time! :yay:

So a few weeks before Thanksgiving break I have airfare for 3 booked for free with points, 2/3 of us had AP's. I booked FP's today and we are doing Wl for Fri-Sun 11/23-25 . I love flying from NE to MCO direct JetBlue and can watch Tgiving parade while we fly that morning. We will drive to Mom's and have a family dinner then leave on Friday for WDW.

Sounds like a nice holiday trip ;).

Just booked half of my summer stay for 2019 at Poly CL. Hope to maybe change it to July 4th week if I can get a better price. Fingers crossed!

It's always exciting to book a new trip ::yes::. I haven't booked anything yet, but I'd definitely looking...lol. Poly CL over the 4th of July is on my list.....maybe one of these years!
