Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Ha! Sorry if we made too much noise. :-)

Actually, you checked in the day we checked out, so it wasn't me! :goodvibes

No noise from next door at all...our room was very quiet. I was hoping we were being quiet for you...lol. I did have to open my door and give the "stinkeye" to folks across the hall who made a career out of standing outside their door and engaging in a loud and long visit late one night. I know we are all on vaca but hallway etiquette particularly at night should be practiced by all and taught to our children. Ok - off my soapbox. Was hoping to meet you Dad....have gleaned so much from your posts!

View attachment 354905 My son and Jeffery Osborne in the Beach Club lounge last night. He sat with Jimmy, his wife Nikkole and their friends after the shows at Epcot. Jimmy was thrilled they all sang On the Wings of Love, his favorite song by Jeffery! I have to stop volunteering to go to bed when the kids do!

I am literally so jealous!!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

When my husband and I first started dating back in the ice age, we would just lie on his parents couch listening to his album. :lovestruc:lovestruc

but, the real reason I'm on this thread is to find pic's from AKL club level. I just booked a four night celebration for my birthday for next February. ;);)

We will be first timers there! Is there something I can search to find the pics?

Hi there, here’s a link to my posts from April of this year at AKL: AKL CL - April 2018

It was our first time there as well. While I kind of struggle with being “removed” from the excitement of the parks, we had an amazing time. Such a unique and beautiful resort. Personally, I think AKL CL has the best all-around food offerings of any CL at the moment.

Also not too many places out there where you can start your day with such a nice view:

thankyou @GADisneyDad14! :dogdance::dogdance:

That's exactly what I was looking for! Since we have been to Disney so many times, we are just going to hang around the resort so it's location will be fine. I wish the rooms were closer to the lounge, but after staying deluxe CL at WL, and even the 4th floor at Sugarloaf, we can deal with that. ::yes::::yes::

I visited AKL with my two kids three years ago and we LOVED it! The food is so great at all the restaurants, they enjoyed the pool, and I honestly did not mind being removed from everything. The buses were fine for us. This year we are trying the GF for the first time and I am super exciied, but have wonderful memories of our AKL stay.

We stayed at the AKL CL for the first time this past August. We really enjoyed our stay. The food was truly delicious. Here is my review from then. This is the link of the first post - keep scrolling down and you will see all of my posts on the AKL CL including many food pictures. We had a 2 bedroom suite and it was far from the CL lounge but definitely worth it. There are some rooms on the CL floor but not sure what size the rooms were.

Enjoy!

Thank you!!! I love seeing pics of food, then I know what I'm in for. My husband loves unique food items, me not so much, but I still love club level!

It was just one night during a split stay at DVC Jambo Concierge for us a couple of weeks ago; but it was a total delight. Staff treated us royally and the lounge offerings were great. Loved walking the grounds and resort. Can’t wait to try to get Concierge again. We don’t own there so a waitlist windfall is all we can hope for.

Last year, they did not have the reserved CL section on 12/30.

I was in MK for the early show on 12/30 but was at Poly for the late show. While there was certainly a crowd on the beach, it wasn’t crazy crowded from my perspective. One could find a good spot without too much trouble. It was more people than a typical HEA night but not as crowded as 7/4.

Caveat that it was quite cold that night, so not sure how much that had an impact on the beach crowd.

Hope that helps!
Thanks this is really useful to know. I was hoping that there might be reserved seating on the 30th as well but your comments on crowds is reassuring.

So a question we are pondering and I wanted to ask you seasoned veterans of the Club Level Experience: is the for-purchase fast passes WORTH IT?

I was contacted by Signature Services today to introduce themselves and let us know that they are available to help us plan. There are only 2 of us so taking the minimum of 3 days would cost $300 total.

We are going after the holidays - checking in on January 5th, which is a Saturday and staying for 5 nights. We probably won't go into the parks on Saturday. The Marathon is the following weekend (beginning on January 9th) (we will check out on the 10th). Will the parks really be THAT crowded? That the extra $$ is worth the time?

Would love your thoughts ;-)

IMO.....no, there are many here that like them, but I have gotten so used to MDE and riding something then turn around and bump the next FP up to jump on the next thing, we use up the 3 then just keep getting more if needed. Getting a better choice of availability at 90 days out is probably true, but I personally have always had good choices at 60!

Hi @TexanInTheMidwest
@DisneyLifePapioNe makes some good points of how to maximize FP's without extra cost.

For us, we need to pay attention to balancing our days. The paid FP's made it very easy to do that. I could pick our park days, space them out and make our trip more enjoyable. I wasn't limited to what I could make work the morning of our FP day.
Of course, I wasn't totally happy faced about the extra cost. But, It was well worth it to us to help with planning. When our actual FP day arrived, I could add rides here and there on other days and know that the headliners were already set. :flower:

Hi all! Our family is looking at our first club level stay (yay!) because of a great pin code. I have read some of this thread, and it has been incredibly helpful. We are trying to decide between Boardwalk, Yacht Club, Beach Club, and Grand Floridian (Sugar Loaf). We see pros and cons to each one, so I am turning to you experts for advice on a few things:

1. I am pretty interested in the decor at YC and BC. The GF rooms look a little run down (if that is the right adjective) compared to the others. What have you all seen? I saw that this had been commented on recently, and it is making us hesitant. We had pretty much settled on the GF until we saw some pictures.

2. I have to eat gluten free (celiac). How do these resorts do with gluten free offerings?

3. How reliable is transportation from the GF? One of the big deciding factors is the desire to talk to two parks v. monorail/boat/bus from the GF.

4. Are the food choices substantially different at the different club levels?

5. Anything else we should consider?

Thank you all so much!
