Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Just my opinion, but I prefer to be away from the Chef Mickey’s side. I find the restaurant noise/songs drift up and can be annoying inside your room, at times. It’s not ‘so bad’ that I’d ask to be moved if I got a room on that side, but I do think it’s worth a request if you feel so inclined.

This graphic may help. My preference would be to be somewhere approx 4812-4824.

Here’s another way to look at it....

Hope that helps!

Thank you! I actually think Chef Mickey will still be in his temporary home over in the convention center during our stay, but still a great suggestion to minimize noise. I appreciate it.

I have been skipping the checkin . Cr I could access the elevator last stay. They tucked paperwork under our room door about an hour after we entered room. (Got room # via text)

I go so often I prefer to skip when I can . Also what's nice is you can go to the cm desk anytime. So if we are hungry or run to pool or park we do that first then stop by desk later .

Also many cls have texting so I'll just ask any questions that way too.

For cl I have been getting texts when room ready . I will check after an hour or so after arrival but the texting has been accurate .

However I have been getting my room requests so if you prefer 1st available you should check in sooner.

For my next trip with mom i may request an escort since she may enjoy that however Im sure I can do a good job if needed :)

Great info thank you so much!

Was doing a little research this morning on the early 2018 public and AP room only discounts (since this is how I usually book our stays). Thought the below might be helpful for some folks. These apply to both CL and non-CL standard rooms, but not Deluxe Rooms, Suites, etc (seemed like in most cases those room types were only 10% for both offers, but depends on the resort). Also seemed like the AP rate had more weekend exclusions, based on my random searching. And as always, availability is limited.

Lots of 35% off resorts, if you can find availability. :-) Happy booking!

Wow GF is 25% off while CR and Poly only 10%??

First evening at Beach Club. No turn down service. We were asked if we wanted the welcoming drink. The 5-7 pm hors d'oeuvres looked delicious although we just walked through to get some soda. The 1130 am - 4 pm light snacks were underwhelming. The vegetables and dips were good but I would have liked some cheese. The rest were mostly sweets. I really dislike that you can't get any bottled water, not even the mini bottles. We do have a beautiful view of the pool and we are directly across from Atlantic Dance and the Swan. Oh, it's our first time at the BC since the remodel. They really removed a lot of the Disney and beach decor from the rooms. Pretty, but we could be anywhere. Off to the Crew 's Cup for some drinking!

Forgot about your DH's knee surgery...glad he's better! Your trip sounds great, but I think we're going to just miss you- boo! DH is flying to Orlando from San Diego now, so the only way he can get there before Saturday night is if he takes the red eye, and I don't think he wants to do that, so we'll probably stay offsite Saturday night. We refuse to pay CL prices if we can't arrive before evening apps!! I'll let you know if anything changes. Maybe we'll see you at the airport!
Bummer I hope we get to see you. Do you arrive on the 3rd? We stay off site or a mod if getting in late too.

I know I've seen it somewhere but can't find now...can someone give the email address for DSS? Thanks!

Thanks for sharing this info :flower3:.

We added on 2 nights to our BLT DVC stay at AKL CL with the 35% discount in April. I'm considering it "research" as it is our first CL stay there :rolleyes1

Congrats on the discount! Hope you have a great trip :wizard:.

Thanks for checking in. Sorry things are a little underwhelming, but hope you have a great stay overall :).

Why is our male concierge wearing mauve nail polish? Man, I consider myself open minded, but it kind of threw me. He was nice enough, though. As helpful as one can be for Disney's definition of concierge.

For years, there was a CM who worked in the lounge at GF (rotated between SL and RPC, I assume because we saw him both places) who wore fake eyelashes! I have to admit that that one caught me off guard because I hadn't seen it before, but he was an awesome, very friendly CM, so I got used to it. Now, nothing surprises me! One of my college DD's friends recently started wearing the man bun thing, and I'm not in love with it (I guess I'm getting old:rotfl:) but as long as people are nice, I guess they can do what they want as long as it's not obscene! I hope the rest of your trip is awesome!

Delightfully, Disney has made MK EMH hours for one of my MK days 7 a.m.-8 a.m., lol! I would like to eat breakfast in the lounge and leave Sugarloaf around 6:30 a.m., but it seems as if breakfast isn't served until 7 a.m. Anyone know if they may serve it earlier that day? Thank you!!!

Wow! You're an early bird! Unless they've changed something very recently (since mid-October), coffee service is all you're going to get at 6:30am, I'm sorry to say. But if you are there the day before your early morning, they will gladly wrap up some sticky buns, etc for you to keep in your room!

Was going to say the same thing as @Dispro1, it’s always 7 regardless of park hours. They should have coffee out at 6:30, but that’s it. I’d recommend making a little “stash” of bagels and other easily stored items the day before so you can have something that morning.

BWI CL vs. GF Sugarloaf CL?

Anyone done both? Or loves one or the other?

We have GF SLCL booked but just found out about pool refurb and we are NOT big fans of construction noise! There's also CL available at BWI for our dates but we have never stayed at any of the Epcot resorts, never mind CL, so it's completely uncharted territory for us!!

Why shouldn't he wear mauve nail polish? That shouldn't throw anybody. Sorry if this offends anyone but I can't see what the problem is.

We are supposed to arrive on the 3rd...haven't booked flights yet! DH has been waiting for the San Diego meeting schedule to be set, but I think that was just finalized...which is why he's saying it will be later on the 3rd when we arrive:worried:. I guess I could fly down before him...he'd be SO jealous:P!

I have done both and would choose the GF over BWI. The large courtyard pool is right in front of SL but you can't see the beach pool from there. You probably wouldn't hear any noise from the beach pool construction.

It really depends on what you're looking for, honestly. Will you have kids there with you? The CL food at BWI is really good IMO, but the rooms are pretty far from the feature pool with the slide, and it doesn't have zero entry...I love a pool with zero entry! February temperatures are typically cooler so if you don't plan on much pool time, the pool doesn't matter as much. Our February trip is typically without kids so we're content with lying out by the quiet pool that is close to the BWI CL rooms if the weather is nice enough. It's really nice to walk to Epcot and HS from BWI too, and the evening entertainment on the BW is pretty cool with magicians, etc...and February temps are cool enough to enjoy the BW! On the other hand, SL isn't that close to the beach pool, so I don't know that noise would be an issue?? I would be more concerned about the courtyard pool being crowded if you plan on a lot of pool time. If you will be spending a lot of time at MK, I would stay in the monorail loop, but that's just my opinion. If you plan on pool time and a lot of MK, you might want to check on Poly? Poly has really moved up on my list lately...ahead of SL because of the view from the lounge and the Oasis pool...not to mention the grilled chicken or shrimp wraps at snack time! RPC is #1 for me but very pricey, and BWI and Poly are a tie for me in the month of February because of the cooler temps. SL is very close to the courtyard pool which is great in summer, but in February with the cooler temps and construction at the beach pool, you may want to look elsewhere. Everyone's ranks would be different depending on what they like, of course.
