Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Does CL (specifically BC since that is where we are staying) offer bottled water? Debating on if I need to add a Publix stop on our way in!
They have filtered water but no bottles. Last fall at the Polynesian Irv was kind enough to give me a carafe covered in saran wrap to take back and put in the fridge. The BWI had a large dispenser with ice and glasses but no offer of a carafe. I'd probably just bring some Swell bottles or Camelbak's or order a case for delivery. I believe that they do sell Dasani in the case at the Screen Door

X2 on the advice about cases of water in the resort stores. Very well priced IMHO, especially for Disney standards. We drink way more water than I could ever reasonably get in any CL, so we almost always buy a case or two. Also works for us because I dislike having to make a grocery stop just for water.

So excited!!!! I just booked Poly CL.. We come in on December 31st. The first two nights we are at POFQ. Just to expensive for NYE. We were at poly last NYE so no bigee. On Jan 2 we head to Poly CL. We have stayed at Poly many times never CL. We just did out first CL in May at BC. We are hooked.

Hope you have a great time :wizard:.

We've brought appetizers and a glass of wine back to our room occasionally. Unless I hear different, I'll continue to do so. Sometimes the lounges get busy.
JMO-That letter reads like they are covering all the bases just in case there is an occasional situation or guest issue.

We do that as well. The lounges do sometimes get busy, so it's nice to be able to take snacks/drinks to your room :).

I was so looking forward to meeting these "amazing" Cm's that I keep hearing great things about when we stayed at BWI CL Oct 2015 -- sadly , there was nothing to write home about. Check in was below par, the guy checking us in wasn't very friendly and didn't even welcome us. I never met any of the wonderful CM's you mention.... oh, one night Lorenzo did make it to the lounge, but he just joked and chatted with his CM friends who where putting out food, etc... never even acknowledged the guests in the lounge. So I was really disappointed and I hope my YC stay is better next year. So far, I have only felt really at home in one Club lounge, and that was AKL. I hope I don't regret moving my reservation from AKL CL to YC CL, I am open to trying new places and really hope this resort gives us a welcoming feeling. If not , it's back to AKL for future stays :P (or one more resort to try / if I can ever afford GF RPC I'd love to try that CL lounge :) )
Really sorry to hear about this. We have stayed at most of the CL and in recent years (10 or so) the BWI CL has by far had the most over the top helpful of all CM and for us the GF RPC was the worst by far! I do think it helps a lot that we are return visitors and have gotten to know the CM over the years at the BWI. I think they go over the lists of incoming guests and look for names that they remember. On our last visit one of the CM came up behind me and called me by name in the lounge and gave me a big hug stating that they saw I was checking in that day and that they had been keeping an eye out for us. That's what I meant by I don't know how they do it day after day. Many of them know our names and remember our likes from trip to trip. Lorenzo purposely started setting food out in the lounge a few minutes early so that we would have a chance to get something to drink and eat before we had to leave to catch our flight. He said he had noticed that we would be cutting it close and wanted to make sure we had enough time. We were the only guests in the lounge at the time. That is above and beyond to me.

RPC at the GF on the other hand to us were cold and very unfriendly on our last two trips and there was a lot of years between trips. On one evening the wine server looked like she wanted to be any place else but working and when I tried to be friendly she literally just looked through me and didn't respond. I didn't try to be nice again! AKL CM were very nice the one time we stayed but it was many years ago and I just don't like the location of that hotel so far away from everything. But that's one of the great things about Disney, so many different options!

Checked in at CR Tower Club this am. I asked Bell Services of someone was available to take us upstairs and by the time my husband came back from parking the car a concierge with iPad had arrived and took us upstairs. Room wasn't ready so we went to have breakfast (got there at 9 am). Met new CL Manager who treated us to Mimosas (first time there) and noticed extended food offering such as cold cuts (not there last year).
For snacks I also noticed that the offerings increased - last year they only had goldfish, gummy bears and whatever else... New this year... Granola, yogurt covered pretzels, m&m's, homemade chips with two different dips, several different cookie flavored (last year there was only 3). The offerings this event were also more than last year. They had a really delicious rice and chicken soup, some rice mushroom tomatoe sauce dish, a huge cheese platter, cold cuts, crudités, mini corn dogs and pb&j and rolls, seared ahi tuna on a slice of cucumber, a little beef slice with horseradish sauce on top (sorry I don't have any names - there was not one description out - I definitely missed those). SO much more than last year!
Desserts were a bit in the slimmer side though although a castmember said that tonight wasn't the best night and tomorrow will be better... There was a Mickey mini chocolate cupcake, a graham cracker pumpkin cheesecake type thing, a odd tasting cinnamon tiramisu (for the lack of better words) and a rice pudding shot with some fruit on the bottom.

All in all I am positively surprised so far! Let me know if you have any questions :)

Thanks for posting some of the offerings. Hope you have a great time :wizard:.

My LIVE TR is posted HERE. Hope you'll join me!

I'm looking forward to following along and reading about all of your solo adventures :goodvibes.

Our Tower Club stays overlap:). It's nice to read your positive review right before my arrival tomorrow.

I hope you have a great time in Tower Club (as well as your other CL stays, especially RPC ;)).

Arrived home last night from ten glorious days at the Poly. Trip report is coming but I wanted everyone to know that between checking in and checking out, a CL only check-in desk has been added in the lobby. It helps to make up for not being greeted on arrival, IMO. A pic of the desk is attached!

We just checked out of the CR Atrium CL after a split stay with the Poly CL. The stay at the Poly and CR CL was truly magical. We had wonderful interactions with the CMs in both resorts. We were celebrating our daughters 21st birthday and everyone made her feel so special. We had stayed at the CR last year and didn't have warm interactions with the CMs then. There were managers out everyday in the CR CL checking to see if everyone was enjoying themselves. My daughter's friends wanted to decorate her room on her birthday and the CR CL CMs gave us some balloons. One morning they came around with Mimosas and remembered that my daughter had turned 21 and offered her one.

What a great trip we had and didn't see cut backs anywhere except the issue that at the CR there is no greeter. But that didn't stop us from enjoying ourselves.

Oh no! I am so sorry that you BWI CL visit wasn't all that you had hoped. We have only stayed BWI CL twice, but both times CMs chatted with us and other guests, creating a very welcoming atmosphere. In fact, the CMs were what really put our stay in the BWI over the top. Every time we went to the lounge we were welcomed, our preferences were remembered and some items automatically retrieved for us before we had the chance to even ask! I don't know what happened during your visit. Was Linda there? She was always so genial and helpful to us and I noticed that she was often in the midst of guests laughing and just having a great time.

RPC is less friendly, but the service was prompt and the food offerings the best that we have enjoyed at any CL.

The YC has some great CMs and some that are just OK. The food offerings years ago were amazing here. On our most recent visit (granted that was almost two years ago now), the food was terrible. It wasn't a good experience for us so I can't rave about the experience like I once would have done. Still, it is OK, so if you go with realistic expectations, you should enjoy your YC CL stay! Meanwhile, I understand that there have been som recent improvements in the CL experience so perhaps all is well again. I hope so, anyway.

Hope your next CL experience is awesome!

Yay! Sounds like the CR CL has come back to being a wonderful CL experience. We loved our visits to the CR CL! Hope you have an amazingly magical time!

We've never stayed Tower Club, but did discover (after a couple of evenings) that the evening menu was in a frame on top of the cooler in the Atrium Club lounge. Take a look around the lounge, you may find it where you least expect it.

You were so right! Thank you for suggesting! Tonight, the discription was next to the fridr and it was digital! Never would've guessed that. Still not perfect (as I don't know what was what - odd offerings tonight and I couldn't decipher) however this should definitely help!

Thank you :)

Now I just need holiday crowd to leave and we will be happy lol

Yacht or Beach Club club level? Which do you prefer and why? We stayed at BC club level this year however we chose a 1 bedroom suite and were on a different floor a mile down the hallway from the elevator banks. Resort was fantastic, room was very nice but due to our room location, we didn't make it to the lounge as often as we have at other resorts. This time, we are booking ON the club level floor!

We haven't stayed at the Beach Club. But, we are returning to the Yacht Club Club level for our 5th or 6th time. We absolutely love it. Great lounge, rooms, and service. That's why we keep returning. We like the area( just like the location of the Beach Club). The pool is awesome, and it's so close to Hollywood Studios and Epcot . Being near the restaurants at the Dolphin, Swan, Yacht, and Beach Club; and also the Boardwalk makes the visit convenient. We can't wait to return! 19 days!

One more important tidbit, since it was recently discussed in this thread. For the first time ever at a WDW CL, at check-in we were given a welcome letter that included an explanation of lounge rules:

As you may know, the Atrium Club is for the exclusive use of our Club Level Guests. Our lounge offers a variety of beer, wine, and cordials at select times of the day. Our alcoholic beverages are complimentary and available for your enjoyment while in our lounge. All Guests consuming alcohol must be 21 years of age or older. Valid identification may be requested. While enjoying the lounge, we ask that an adult Guest accompany all Guests under the age of 10. In addition, proper attire and footwear are requested of all Guests. Please refrain from entering the lounge wearing robes, bathing suits, or wet clothes.

Oh wow, I hope that is just something they put in the letter and is not actually enforced. We have a Disney "routine" that we stick to in regards to the lounge. In the evenings, before we go to the parks and dinner, my hubby gets dressed first (we generally spend the afternoon at the resort pool) and then goes to the lounge to get us a drink and bring it back to the room while I am getting the kids dressed. Then he and the kids go back to the lounge for a quick snack while I get ready and he usually brings me another glass of wine and small snack. We love doing this as it allows us to enjoy the park and make later dinner reservations (and I can get dressed in peace). It really really won't be the same without wine, lol.

Glad you had a great trip and enjoyed both the CR and Poly CLs. Hope your DD had a magical and very memorable 21st birthday trip :wizard:.

I know it's not CL but I'm at CSR Business Class right now and if anyone has any questions let me know.

Hope you're having a good time :goodvibes.

I can't comment on BC/YC CL as we've never stayed CL at either resort, but hopefully others will give their opinion/input :flower3:.

We've stayed at BC, YC and BWI but have only stayed CL at BWI and BC. We prefer these resorts during Food & Wine for convenience to Epcot. Also, my husband spends his Saturdays in the fall watching college football so he usually spends part of the day at ESPN Club and prefers that it is only a short walk or boat ride away.

As I said in the OP, staying CL but not actually being on that floor was not as enjoyable (Beach Club this year). Our room was on the first floor, which was very convenient for the International Gateway but to go to the lounge, we had to walk the entire length of the resort to the elevator bank to get there. My kids were 10 & 12 at the time and I was unwilling to let them go on their own. We have our routines, where my hubby and boys get dressed and go to the lounge leaving me to get ready in peace, both for breakfast and before we head to the parks in the evening. My husband will bring me some breakfast/snacks and wine to enjoy while I am getting dressed. It just was not as easily accomplished while on another floor and there were days where we did not even visit the lounge.

Thanks for the comment, I think we might try YC CL next year.
