Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

How are the food and beverage selections in the lounge? Someone mentioned cider in the lounge - is it true? My husband absolutely loves hard cider. Does someone pour the cordials, or is it serve yourself? It sounds like they reversed some of the cutbacks - I'm very glad to hear it.

I have not seen any cider. I will check shortly to be sure. It's self serve for alcohol at both BWI and poly. BWI could've gone either way as they had the wine on a rolling cart, but everyone just served themselves. Both lounges have been packed with CMs which is a huge change from our easter stay at RPC when cutbacks were happening. Beverages have been outstanding here at poly while the food is so-so. BWI had outstanding food but we would've liked to have the iced tea and lemonade dispensers available all the time. As a side note, and I'll post more when we get home, the CMs at BWI are incredible -- I can see why so many of you rave about them.

Larger area than normal for viewing at Poly

Also, CMs already out in front of Hawaii

Wow! I don't have a frame of reference for prior years but that looks amazing. DS's birthday is very close to 7/4 and a July 4th trip is very much on our radar for future years! Hope y'all have a great evening and thank you for taking the time to post pics!

Birthday trips are great! My girls were born around easter so we celebrate every year in disney since we go at that time! You would love it here now, though it has been overly hot (but beautiful). In my opinion, it really looks like CMs are making a huge effort to keep Poly enjoyment for Poly guests only this year.

Holy cow. DS and I just watched that Disney Blog live stream of the MK fireworks. They had a camera either on the end of Hawaii or more likely the DVC longhouse next to Hawaii they cut to every once in awhile. What an unbelievable display! They did an excellent job with the life stream and blending the music and various camera angles. Oh Suzanna.....

Has anyone stayed at BC CL recently? My dad has dietary restrictions and typically only drinks water and decaf hot coffee. Will they give you bottles of water if you ask for them or is it restricted to the self serve water dispenser?

Also…do they offer a selection of berries, apples, and other various healthy food items throughout the day/ can you request them if they aren't out? We are booked at a BWI (standard room) but would like to change to a BC CL room but would like to try and find out the answers before we pay the premium to switch.

Thanks in advance!

Glad that you are enjoying the BWI. That is what keeps us going back. We love the pool at the BC/YC but the CMs at the BWI are fantastic. Anita and Lorenzo are our favorites. I wish all the CL lounges had friendly CMs like the BWI. Enjoy the rest of your time there.

That camera was on the old sunset pointe hill

Hi CL peeps! Well, we are full fledged crazy and just booked a last minute Poly CL trip. Dates are 7/23-7/30, @TigrLvsPooh, please add us to the date list if you have a free second (thank you!). For a variety of reasons we've been holding off planning a "second half" summer vacation and the stars aligned to make this work out.

We've booked several trips in the 3-6 month range but never this close. Frankly I've been pleasantly surprised at room, FP, and dining availability even three weeks out. I keep reading that crowds are down a bit this summer, I hope that continues! I've spent the last two days planing/making reservations and other than the Frozen ride I've been able to come up with a perfectly acceptable schedule - happy camper here.

DW and I have a general agreement that we wouldn't take DD to Disney until she was at least three, but we're throwing that plan in the trash and this trip will be all four of us. I'm frankly a little bit nervous because she's a total handful compared to DS, but heck, how bad can it be? DD turns 2 the day we arrive, so we're going to try to make it a memorable one.

I was debating hard on whether to give BC CL a try because we are very much pool/resort people, but alas I couldn't let go of Poly and I want to see the new "quiet" pool area.

Excited to have a trip planned, so pumped!

I will get you added to our list! :)

What I often do is take fruit back to my room when I see it. For example the fruit out at breakfast I take a bowl back to the room and stick in the frig for my afternoon snack. I have also grabbed an apple for later too. Usually apples and oranges left out all day but I can't remember is BC did that. I looked at my pix and one night the had strawberry smoothie shooters! Yummy!!

Water I fill coffee cups with lids and put in the frig for later .

Thank you all for the quick replies. We are super excited. It will be a surprise for the kids. They have been before but never something like this. They always love the monorail and have asked to stay at one of the resorts. I hope we can watch wishes from the beach, but if not, the lounge looks like an awesome alternative.

What a great surprise! You will love staying on the monorail :goodvibes.

Just got our room here at Poly LV and we got our first floor request near lounge. I'm sitting on our patio right now and I can honestly say there is nothing that compares to this!

It's always fun to book last minute trips! Have a great time :wizard:.

I was up at 4:45 on my Bday for my DVC 11 month window and was able to book a 1 bdrm CL at AKV for next June! This will be our first CL stay! We've traveled concierge on DCL several times and LOVED it. I'm sure our land experience will be just as awesome!

Congrats on getting AKV CL. I'm sure you'll have a great time and enjoy CL :wizard:.

Does anyone have experience using Kids Night Out or another babysitter while using CL? I have my twins booked for Lilo's playhouse but we are just two months away now and my daughter refuses to not wear pull-ups. Little stinker. I was wondering if they would let the care provider take them to the lounge. I also was wondering if they would let them order room service and charge it to the room, or if I should take care of that ahead of time. We are staying at the Poly. Thanks!

YES! We used Kids Night Out when we visited with our kids when we took our kids 10 and 12 years ago. Wonderful "fairy godmother" sitters. Both times we had an older, grandmotherly-type lady come to watch our kids. The kids loved both of the ladies and even my oldest with autism loved them. The ladies came well prepared and brought things to keep the kids busy. It was an easy gig with my kids, since they were already worn out and ready to hit the hay after a long day in the parks.

The kids were well cared for in the room. I definitely recommend them.

We have used kids nite out a couple of times as well. Both times we had a girl named Heather, she was very good. As stated above, she brought toys. We fed our child ahead of time but I think we asked her if she wanted something. She had already eaten. We weren't staying on CL so I can't say if they are allowed in the lounge BUT we were at BLT and you can only get in there with a MB, so I asked her if she needed us to come down and let her in. She said no, the staff knows us here at Disney. So from that response, I'm thinking it would be fine for her to go to the lounge. She called us ahead of time and let us know what she looked like and clear up any details so you could ask her then and then mention it to the CL staff to see what they say.

Does anyone know how to see how many BC CL Water View rooms there are? I would really like one with a Daybed and a Full Balcony I am on Touring Plans and can't seem to find one thanks!!

I can't answer your original question but can say that the Room Finder tool on Touring Plans website is extremely inaccurate when it comes to room types and room amenities. I do know there's at least 2 of them as we have had one as well as my parents. If you want one with a daybed and full balcony, make those your only requests. That's what we did.

I know! At AKL, You cant find a Queen and Bunk Bed CL room on there, they don't list it as an option to put in, only queens, not breaking it down, but I'm pretty sure they have them. Anyone have any info on that, as in if there are any in Kudo and how many and what area?

I posted this on the Contemporary thread but I was hoping someone here could answer this. We will be staying at the CR CL TPV room and need 2 rooms. I looked on touring plans and it says that none of the rooms are connecting. Does anyone know if that is correct? I was hoping for connecting rooms since we have 4 kids and we are bringing some of our DDs friends. Thanks!
