My son called it "that place with the Cheerios." As in "I want to go back to that place with the Cheerios."

We'll be checking into Poly CL in 6 days. Between work and family drama (not immediate, thank heavens), I'm hoping for low stress. That's honestly all I care about. Well, that, and a few cocktails from Trader Sam's.
Have a blast girlfriend!!!!!!!!!!!!

My children call CL the "gummy bear" room! Lol

Too cute :goodvibes.

If Steve is working, just ask for an "Original Rum Runner" at the main pool bar...life will be just fine.......:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

That looks like a nice refreshing drink ::yes::.

:yo-yo: Super super excited - I was able to book GF Main Building CL for the last 2 days of our 10th Anniversary trip. The room only discount made it reasonable enough for a special occasion that we are going to switch over from AKL for the end of the trip!!

How exciting! I think 2 days in RPC is a great way to end your anniversary trip :wizard:.

We have stayed at all CLs except the AKL CL. We are hoping to try it this summer. Can someone tell me how their lounge is situated? We have a large party and was wondering if there is a place that we can sit? Does the lounge close? We love the Poly because it is open all the time and the WL because we could sit to talk late at night when we are a big group.

Thanks for the help.

The lounge is like WL CL as it overlooks the lobby and is open all the time :).

Just wanted to say that we are busting at the seams excited for our upcoming vacation at Poly CL (First CL and Poly stay)! Less than 10 days! It doesn't even seem real!

The Poly is amazing, you are going to love it! I can't comment on CL as we are trying it for the first time as well in the fall, but I have been reading great things about it. Hope you have a great trip :wizard:.

Thanks so much. We enjoy hanging out in the lounge area - especially since we are a party of 11.

You're welcome :).

Having a place to sit and relax with that large of a group will be great! The lounge set up was one of the reasons we loved WL CL. I loved how open it was and that it never closed, which is one reason I'm thinking we'd love AKL CL (which we are hoping to try later this year).

We loved the WL for that reason also. If we went late to get something to eat - we could finish eating while they closed the lounge. I wish all of the CL lounges allowed that. Thanks.

Me too! Having only stayed CLs with open lounges (WL CL, GF RPC & SL), I'm not sure I'd really enjoy the ones that lock as it is nice being able to sit in the lounge any time of day :). However, with that said, BWI CL is on my radar as I am always reading great things about it. So that might be one I try, even though the lounge is locked during non food service times.

We were just at the poly and the oasis pool was open. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The other pool was beyond packed, but it was quite mellow at the oasis.

Hope you had a great trip! :wizard:

Thanks so much. We did. It was our first time there, and even though we'd wanted to stay there in the past, we kind of hoped we wouldn't love it so much because now we love every place we've ever stayed at DW! We had to move because YC/BC and BWI were completely booked for our last night, but they had a standard room at Poly. We are springtime at the BC all the way...thought maybe we could try our first trip and make Poly our winter place. It was the Oasis pool that won us over. It was so peaceful (there were still lots of people, but it felt like a quiet pool) and yet they still do poolside drink service. Plus we loved the zero entry and how large the hot tub is. Poly just won us over.

The Poly has a way of doing that...lol. We have tried several resorts and while we have loved them all, the Poly will always be our favorite! The GF runs a close second (with others closely behind), but there's just something about the Poly that keeps it at the top of the list for us. It's hard to beat the relaxing tropical atmosphere, among other things. I can't wait to get back this fall and see/enjoy the Oasis pool. Glad you had a great time :goodvibes.

We have a club level DVC room booked in November in AKV. Approaching our ADR date (in 10 days). Haven't heard from IPO to help with resies. Should I have already? How do I contact them? Thank you!

We love the CMs in the BWI - Anita and Lorenzo are the best. Always make you feel so special. We got Lorenzo to sing for our last video from July 2015.

We agree about the open lounges - it makes a huge difference. Last Feb we were staying at the BC CL and our ME wasn't coming until 1pm. Our parents are older and wanted to sit in the CL lounge until we left since we had checked out and my dad wanted to take a nap. They wouldn't let us stay between breakfast and snacks. We didn't want any food, just to sit - they made us leave. It left a bad feeling with us. It would be nice if it was the same at all of the CL lounges.

Has anyone checked into AKL CL and know where the lounge has been relocated for the renovation? Checking in on Saturday for one night and hoping it is in the Presidential Suite and that the balcony is open.

Thanks for your input on BWI CL. I have seen Anita and Lorenzo mentioned by others, so they must be awesome CMs :goodvibes.

I'm sorry BC CL wasn't accessible on your last day. I agree, it would be nice if all the lounges stayed open as it's sometimes nice to have a place to sit and relax, even during non food service times :).

I can't answer, but wanted to say I hope you have a great trip :wizard:.

That really sums up how we feel about the lounges as well. I understand they put food away, clean up, etc. in between services, but when you don't have a room to sit in it's so nice to have a lounge where you can sit and relax. On our last trip, we were able to sit and relax in the RPC lounge while we waited for our room to be ready. It was nice to get a cold drink and have a place to wind down.

We really like the new, larger lounge at the BC, but I prefer the "always open" ones at the GF, Poly, and AKL (and WL, theoretically, but I haven't had the chance to stay there yet).
