Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

I just saw all the great pictures you posted on YC/BC thread! Very nice! I didn't take any pictures in the lounge but I have some room view photos I can upload later. Gotta get out of our room now (couldn't get a late check out). Flight isn't until 7 so we're headed to Stormalong Bay for a few hours!:thumbsup2
We couldn't get a late check out either!

Hanging by the pool seems like a great way to end the vaca!! Enjoy

I'm sitting on my balcony right now soaking every last second in before check out! It's been a fabulous trip. We were upgraded from standard to Boardwalk view, which was a wonderful surprise! Lounge offerings have been very similar to what you have listed on page one of the thread. There was always plenty of food out and the CM very nice. I did ask about texting for 4th FP and was told that we needed to go to the park kiosk so the 'test' of this service is no longer happening at BC. If anyone has any questions, I'll do my best to answer. :goodvibes
We also were upgraded from std and Neil told me ours was Lagoon view. I also asked about 4th fp and they said ALL CLUB'S have discontinued due to some people not getting 3.(people that may show up without picking, etc).

I love balconies too!

GF still does it, at least it said they do on the welcome letter. We were too busy Food and wine-ing to use all of our fastpasses. I am such a slacker ;)

We will be CL at the Poly in 10 days. Does CL come with a 4th fast pass? I have our 3 per day already booked.

I am a complex newbie, researching but it is so overwhelming. We booked this trip in September and even with my best efforts, I feel like I am not "getting it" as well as I should.

Hmm, that's odd! We were offered the 4th FP texting option two weeks ago at CR Tower Club. They were adamant about making sure we knew we could do it every day.

Texting service worked for FP as recently as a week ago at GF and CR. May be like the BC CM's telling us that all CL's had discontinued welcome gifts when that was not correct as well. They should just say the BC CL no longer does any of these things. Since that statement(in a very rude manner I might add) we have received welcome gifts at GF, CR and AK. Sorry, this is a pet peeve. Even the WDW managment have no idea what ALL of anything are doing much less entry level CM's.

Oh we did not get an welcome gift. Only one night so maybe that's it.

Funny once at gf I had a night std then 2 nights deluxe King rpc. We got the gift at both rooms. However other times we did not.

This is not the first time a cl cm has well, said what they thought we should hear.

I am a horrible person, lol I often eavesdrop and have heard cms tell things I knew were not correct.

I loved the extra passes with dd at our cr and gf trips this year and last. Dh however doesn't even use all 3 when we are there.

Hello all! I'm excited to report that I'm heading home Jan 8-Jan11 AKL-CL for a girls weekend! First time away from my kids and celebrating my 35th at my favorite place!!! :cheer2:
I haven't stayed at that cl yet but don't they have afternoon scones like gf? I would enjoy that! Happy Birthday and enjoy your trip. The kids will be fine, jealous, but fine:goodvibes

They do have scones :) That was our first upgrade to CL and we have been spoiled since ;)

I posted this over on the boardwalk site but was hoping for a quick answer and figured this was a CL issue. I was looking at prices for the BWI CL and noticed that they now have 4 options for CL. I have stayed at the BWI CL several times over the years and our next trip is in Feb. where we have a standard CL room booked and a request in for a boardwalk view. Now I see that they have a standard CL room for $596 a night,$696 for a Boardwalk view,$719 for a Deluxe room and $782 for the garden cottages. I'm pretty sure it wasn't broken down this way before. If I was going to pay that much extra for a guaranteed boardwalk view it would make more sense to pay the extra $23 a night for the deluxe rooms.

Does anyone know about this? I'm afraid now that we wont even have a chance for a boardwalk view if they are charging $100 a night extra for it

I do not know about the Boardwalk specifically, but I do know how WDW has worked in the past. Once enough people request a certain view/area WDW changes those rooms to a new category that they can charge extra $$$$ for. This has happened at every WDW that I can think of. When most of the resorts first opened, there were no Water View or Lagoon View rooms.

I wonder, then, if they will eventually start breaking up the Standard View by FIREWORKS/EPCOT view and Standard (non-FW/E) view.

Really I'm not surprised by this I just was wondering what happens now. Do I have a standard view room(non boardwalk) or a boardwalk view room. I will have to admit I am a little disgusted that they basically added a $100 a night to a room cost and changed the view name. The "standard view" rate is about the same. I really love the BWI CL but once again all the changes and now this increase just doesn't set well with me. Disney adds a bunch of rooms to the CL but the staff and the lounge stay the same so that will mean a more crowded lounge area with over stressed CM and now with the tap of a key we have a whole new booking level (with a $100 increase in cost) that is the same as what we have been getting for years. Oh and don't forget the AP bonus of MM for the bargain price of $100 each!

Don't get me wrong, if I was receiving anything better for these increases I wouldn't mind. On our trip two years ago the CM were talking about the upgrade to the lounge and how they were going to be expanding it (even getting a fridge for the cold drinks)! They were really excited about it. When we returned in Feb. 2014 the only change was the rugs and furniture covers, still had the ice bucket, cold water for drinks. The CM were very unhappy about it and I know ,(gasp!) they now finally have a fridge but seriously they couldn't do anything else. One CM said that they were hoping next time(5+ years). Our ten day vacation just increased by over $1,100 to do the same thing as 3 months ago.

Phew! Sorry rant over. My husband loves these boards because I can rant on here instead of at him:)

Gosh...I always (for many years anyway) remembered two classifications of rooms...Boardwalk View and Standard View. I know when I was pricing rooms for a big family 2012 Family trip in 2009, there were two classifications.

I think with SOME of the SV rooms, you might be able to get a partial water view, though. Check on touring plans website and you can see what SOME of the views are...they don't have all of them, obviously, but there are some SV rooms with a partial view of the lagoon.

Hello everybody! Thank you for all the amazing posts, as it has been educational and helpful. My family of four will be at the GF SL 12/25 - 1/2. Any suggestions on a room request? I never make any specific requests with rooms, but wondered if there were thoughts on our best options at such a busy time around the resort. Thanks!

For real? I didn't know this, I guess it was only a matter of time like dansdad mentioned :/
