Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

We had a six night stay at the GF club level last week, in rooms 4203,4204, and 4205. The rooms looked straight out and across the water to the Castle so the view from our balconies was great for the fireworks each night. The rooms were quiet and the only complaint, a minor one, was the need to zigzag on the elevators since the main lobby elevator does not provide access to the second floor club level. Other than that, we loved those rooms. The concierge staff was great in assisting with changes to dining reservations made weeks ahead, with spa reservations, and general info. The lounge offerings were good. We ate breakfast there every morning and had no trouble getting tables with enough seating for all seven of us. They had oatmeal, hard-boiled eggs, variety of cold cereal, toast, English muffins, bagels, all kinds of Danish pastries and croissants, delicious muffins, beautiful fresh fruit (cantaloupe, honeydew, pineapple, strawberries, watermelon), apples, bananas, milk, cranberry and orange juice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate.

In the afternoons, they had fresh veggies and dips, carrots, broccoli, celery; roasted zucchini/eggplant; cherry tomatoes; cold meats and cheeses; goldfish crackers, gummy bears; pretzels; delicious chips; breads; crackers; breadsticks; coffee and tea and yummy cookies; iced tea; lemonade.

We didn't go in the evenings but passed through and saw some delicious roast beef being carved in addition to many other lovely dishes; wine; beer; desserts.

Great report, thanks! We have not stayed at GF CL yet and are quite anxious to give it a try. The food sounds fabulous!!

Ah, okay. I noticed that some of the higher floor rooms had much smaller balconies. I'm not sure which those are. Sorry for the confusion.

I booked the WL Club level over two weeks ago and still no letter from the IPO. When would I be getting one. Our trip is not til December but would be nice to get one.

It seems hit or miss with the letters.. Sometimes I get them, more often than not, I contact them first

I waited a week, but didn't get a letter, so I contacted them myself and got a very prompt response!

I called IPO this morning to check on some ADRs for my December trip to BWI, so I asked about the texting service too. Unfortunately, she said only BC, YC, and GF have the texting service right now:( At least we'll have it when we're at GF with the kids in October, but Disney really needs to hurry up and add texting service to all the CLs! They've done enough testing! We all know it works and we like it!!

Well that's very disappointing... I could really use the texting service because I am deaf (with CIs) and talking on the phone with IPO has been very difficult for me. :scared: I hope they'll have it by the time I arrive in November.

Congrats on booking BWI CL! :) I think it's perfectly fine to communicate with the IPO staff via email. That's the way I have always done it. I think it's much easier for them to help you when they have your requests for ADR/activities/events, along with your questions, room requests, etc, etc, all in writing. There really shouldn't be a reason you would have to call them. As for the F&W events I would email them with all your questions again and see if you can get some answers. If you don't get a response just keep emailing them until you do. I have had to resend emails that were unanswered from time to time. The squeaky wheel gets the grease for sure! Don't be afraid to email them as many times as you need to until you have the information that you need. This is what we are paying them to do and sometimes we have to be persistent to get it! :D

Thanks!!! I will definitely keep trying!

Thanks for the info! But I don't quite understand -- CR does offer the FP texting service, but yet it has ended? Maybe they mean there is a different type of service now?

Sorry to be confusing...this is the email response I originally got:

"The Contemporary Concierge Floors - both the Atrium Club and the Tower Club do participate in the texting service. However, the 4th Fast Pass was a test over the Easter Weekend and was not extended.

Once you have used your original three Fast Passes you can text for additional Fast Passes one at a time."

I've asked them to clarify but the way I'm reading this is that the CR does have the texting service for FPs. It can only be used though after you have used your original batch of 3 FPs, then you can text for a fourth FP, and then a subsequent FP after you've used the fourth, and then so on. It sounds like over Easter they might have been allowing people to maybe hold 4 FPs at one time for the initial batch.

Sorry for the duplicate post. Computer crashed when originally posting.

Ok now I'm recalling another DISer stayed at the BC at the same time as my family (Easter week) and I believe that DISer posted they were automatically given a 4th FP (I *think* that was the case). Our family did have to text and ask for the 4th FP, so it looks like the texting service that we received is still going on. Yay! So glad to hear this and hoping that it stays and also expands to the other CL's!

The CR IPO has confirmed that for CR CL guests the following:

"Once you have redeemed your original set of three Fast Passes you can request - via a text an additional Fast Pass - one attraction at a time based on availability."

They said that over Easter, Disney was testing giving some guests 4 FPs instead of 3 as the initial set. This was not directly related to the texting service.

Ok, I need to catch up. I haven't read this thread since just before our May WL CL stay, but now we have upcoming CL stays at the Poly in Aug and the CR over Christmas. I know the Poly doesn't have the texting service, but does the CR? We had it at the GF RPC last Sept and loved it, and was hoping to have it again! Sorry, I'm sure this so answered, but I'm so excited to have booked the CR over Christmas and now need to research it. We've never stayed there and really look forward to walking to the MK during the busy time of year!! It's fun to have a new resort and CL to learn about.

Ok, I just read the post above mine and my question was answered - I think. I assume the texting is for all questions like at the GF not just FPs. Sorry, I guess I should have done a little research before posting!

At Easter, people were allowed to make 4 fastpasses online.
I just returned yesterday from CR and you can definitely text for an additional fp.
