Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Yay I'm so glad you had a great CL experience!! Question for you -- did WL have the 4th FP texting service up and going for your stay? Someone did say a few pages back that all resorts have now adapted this policy, but I'm not sure if he was just speculating or if he indeed was reporting based on his experience. We were at BC CL over Easter and it was an amazing service -- just loved it! Thanks!

I didn't need to use the service - dd has a heart condition so we utilize the DAS, which is like a 4th fp in this heat! Often we were only able to do 2 attractions due to the extreme heat for her - but, when the sun went down, and after wishes she went back to the park with DH and they got so much done - from 10 - 12, one night the park was open until 2 am, but she said that by midnight she was ready to get some sleep, and had done everything - and some things twice.

The CM's knew we were utilizing the DAS so they didn't offer the texting service, nor did we inquire about it

I also did not do recon work!

So enjoyed Club Level Wilderness Lodge, the place just makes my heart sing! We were room 7109, it did face the pool, so you could lean out and see the Electric Parade, as well as the higher fireworks! (so when you hear loud noises, check it out! ;) ) There was a connecting door, and the beds! OMG - has anyone mentioned how soft and firm these beds are? I'm telling you when I rolled over, dh didn't move! We usually have a King bed - but it didn't matter here, because even when he snored, I tried to shake the bed (my usual routine) and it didn't move! When he sat on the bed to watch tv, again, I jumped on it - and asked him if he noticed - the bed didn't move! AND it was so comfortable!

I probably poured out my heart, to the CM staff - and they were genuinely kind! They did make my one day ever so much better!

and now that we are on the 2nd half of our vacation, DH just mentioned CL was worth it! ;) Another convert!! lol

Yay! I'm really glad to read experiences like this, it's getting me very excited about my stay :)

It wasn't speculation. :thumbsup2

So for my 10 anniversary the plan has always been to go to Paris. However my DH has decided to go back to school so I see that dream slipping away for now. So what's the next best thing? Well, we are thinking about inviting our very close friends and doing a private dessert party in France and watching illuminations. So this is where I need help from you all. Where to stay....I want to do club level and I've always wanted to stay, since I was 4 years old, at CR but I'm thinking about a split stay. Where else would you suggest? BW/BC/YC or something else? We will probably do 5-6 nights and it will be around labor day 2016.

We are back from our family visit trip and first thing we did today was book an anniversary Disney CL stay! As it is only 32 days off, DH and I flipped a coin to choose which resort. I picked SL - DH AKL. As luck would have it SL was not available for our dates so AKL it is July 25 - 29.

Since I have been away for 2 weeks (and we know how fast things change!) would anyone know if AKL now does texting fast passes? It was not offered to us in April but then I didn't ask for it either.

DH and I vowed not to go back to Disney in the summer after last year, but after attending a wedding in 102 degrees we decided Orlando would be quite pleasant! (Don't let your daughters have outdoor summer wedding! Your guests will thank you for it :love1:)

Thanks for any help!

Ok, I think I belong on the Resort switchers board ;) I was originally at WL Deluxe Room CL, and then I switched us over to the GF standard room LV. Then I moved us to the Poly Lagoon view, and then Poly Lagoon CL. And then GF SL CL opened up, and that's where I shall be this Friday! I feel safe writing it here now, since I'm preeetttttyyyy sure I won't change us ;) I paid off the room only ressie last night :) Can't wait to stay there! It will be our first time CL there, third stay at GF. I have loved looking at all the SL info :) Thanks everyone!!!

I'm not 100% sure, because the plans have been taken out of my hands, but I think that we have a CL room at WL this Halloween. Because I'm fairly certain and I'm a super planner, I have a few questions.

1) With four adults in a room, would there be the possibility of getting two extra robes? Or at least one? Four adults sharing a deluxe room would need some help with bathroom related modesty issues, lol.
2) Are the robes fairly large/long? If there is a spa on property, would getting a larger sized robe be an option? One of our adults is very tall.
3) How often do the CL lounge menus rotate? I know they are slightly different day to day, but as I was looking through the menu pictures online, I was wondering if there are a lot of week-to-week or month-to-month changes.

Thanks! I'm super excited about the possibility of staying CL ANYWHERE, but esp WL.

How funny! I originally booked CL at WL, and after lots of switching and debating, we settled on GF SL. And we also arrive on Friday! Can't wait!!!!

How cool is that?! Even cooler if we run into each other! Two more days!!! :jumping1:

I can't personally comment on AKL CL, but dansdad here on DIS commented that all deluxes are now offering the 4th FP texting service -- he said he wasn't speculating, so it sounds like confirmed information! I can't wait -- that feature changed how we tour the parks each day -- BC was able to get us any FP we wanted, and it was during Easter week! I had originally tried the park kiosks for the 4th FP and nothing ever showed as available, as expected since the parks were busy and it was late afternoon. However, texting service blew my mind -- they were so kind and quick to respond! I gave very positive feedback on that feature!

Thanks for the confirmed info! I think when I was catching up I didn't make it all the way to the last page. :guilty:

I did find out something interesting yesterday about AKL. When we visited in April, my only request was a King bed. I called IPO yesterday when I realized we did not make THAT request when we made the reservation this time and .... There are only 4 King beds on the 4th floor and 3 of those are reserved accessible rooms. So if you want a CL Standard Room with a King bed non accessible you have a 1 in 48 chance! Sadly all the 1 BR suites were all taken!

I will try next week to see if anything opened in the 1 BR at AKL or SL with our discount which apparently has a higher percentage of Kings. Not that 2 beds are BAD but we are so used to our king! Ironically the only GF CL room available was the RPC Deluxe King which I would never book again. Views are totally awesome but the proximity to the lounge is awful!

After 2 weeks of 100+ weather in the north east I woke up here on the Alabama Gulf Coast to 75 degrees! Hope everyone has a cool and wonderful day!

Oops I've changed again :rotfl: and am now back at AKL for my November stay - I love the Epcot area resorts but the appeal of relaxing on my balcony overlooking the savannah has won through for me. I'll be spending a lot of time relaxing around the resort, more so than in the parks, and I think AKL is perfect for this.

Dates are 15-22 November, can't wait :cheer2:

In terms of the robes, I would not describe them as particularly large or long. I am 5'10" and it probably came to my knees. My DH is 6'6" and I don't think he really could have worn it.

We just did a CL stay at WL. The hot offerings (and salad offerings) changed a good bit - I think there was only one repeat dish for the 5 nights we were there. The cheese/crackers/dips remained fairly the same, and the desserts in the evenings didn't seem to change much either.
