Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Can we use the DSS for ADRs at the 180 day mark? This is a whole new world for me! I have a TA, and I had planned split up the ADRs with her to make at 7 am on Day 180, but I am wondering if DSS can get better access to the reservation computer. DSS hasn't written to me yet; when does that happen?

Yes they will take care of your reservations. I reached out with my list and they handled them all.

When communicating with DSS via email....

Do they always acknowledge your email? IF they didn't should I re-send ya think?

We've stayed CL any times and have not once received a message prior to our stay since they centralized the system, so if you need to get in touch with them, I'd just go ahead and write in.

I agree. You might not hear anything from them, so if there's something you want/need them to do, I'd contact them.

Usually within 24-48 hours. Just give it a little time

I agree. Sometimes they respond right away, sometimes not. I'd give it at least 1-2 days, but if 3 or 4 days goes by and you haven't heard anything back, I'd contact them again.

Well, we are 46 days out and I am officially getting nervous, LOL. Even though this will be DS's 4th trip to Disney, the fact remains that he is now 2.5 years old and a complete tornado!!!

We went to a local Zoo/amusement park this weekend and he ran us ragged...we were like "Oh God... Disney is going to be scary!!!". Meanwhile our girls took off and left us with him and had all the fun, LOL.

Deeeeeep breaths....it's going to be OK. Right? RIGHT?!?!?!:scared:

We took our son for his first Disney trip when he was that age, and thank goodness we were able to confine him to his stroller most of the time. Since there is so much walking, hoping your tornado opts for that route!

Our youngest daughter was his age on her 1st trip and I remember we panicked about that and she ended up being fine....but he is......different :faint:

Anyone have recent stats at the Yacht Club that medically had to be gluten free? I'm curious about any accomadations that were made. I have previous experience at The grand Floridian and the Board Walk both last year and the year before. Both were great but even those experiences were different. Thanks. :)

I'd like to know this too. I have celiac and will be staying at Yacht Club CL during Christmas week.

My mom has celiac and stayed with us at Yacht CL in december. They were very nice to her and helped navigate all her choices, and provided some bagged chips and other snacks since she couldnt eat the house-made chips. They definitely offered more than she accepted, as she is a fairly light eater. She was happy though! It was her first CL stay so we didnt know what to expect. She has done BC too since then, and gave them the slight edge in preference, though nothing to do with the way they handled her celiac. (My preference was the opposite, I preferred YC a tad I think).

Some of you may already know this, but I just left Poly and learned that if there are no gluten free dessert options available (which is often the case), you can call private dining and they will deliver a gluten free dessert to your room or the lounge free of charge! I would assume if you can do this at Poly, you can do it at any CL?? I would certainly ask! The chocolate fondue was delicious! I will say that I wasn't impressed with Captain Cook's gluten free options because they couldn't get me a gluten free pizza and gasparilla grill at GF and the BW pizza window both have gluten free pizza! Captain Cook's has flat bread pizzas so why no gluten free crust?? Also, Gasparilla Grill always got a manager to take my order which I think is a good idea since the young guy at Captain Cooks was like" uh...I think so":rotfl:!

Has anyone stayed at the Beach Club recently that wouldn't mind sharing a review? We've (DH, myself and DS2) have never stayed Club Level before and I'm excited to try it in September. I'm curious about the food and drink offerings, and if they have water/drinks you can take with you. Our son goes through about two gallons of milk a week so I'm hoping we can use the lounge for that as well as taking water to the parks. And as far as food, are you expected to eat in the lounge or can you take stuff back to your room? Any other info would be appreciated as well, thank you!

My DD (2, almost 3) is like that. High strung, lots of energy, in that "terrible 2" zone. Traveling with her is... fun? We've just learned to roll with whatever comes! :rotfl:

Is this a concerige thing?
I thought your to go online to try and book ADRs? Sorry, the last time we had to do it you only could by phone

Anyone know if they cater to diet restrictions? I'm wondering if we would need to call congerige about my father having his food plated in the back? He's a kidney transplant patient and isn't to have food directly from buffets. However, I'm sure he'd want to join us, I just want to be sure it's safe for him.

Oh my, what am I getting into I have a 5yr old who is Always trying going (usally "transforming") he ran out the door today after my patents during lunch! He's funny/sweet man, I'd like him to slow down! He gets excited and as he says "I'm trying to but my circuits won't let me" lol I'm shocked he did so well getting his haircut yesterday lol
My 2yr old daughter will sit and patiently look things over and is really into details. Her play is much gentler unless he starts. Having her then Tornados like you said.
The baby is only 4months and he is just into watching everything and learning play.
They will be 6,3 and 1 when we go. I'm hoping I remember to be playful as it seems to distract and help him get back on track.

One month today we check into RPC at the GF! So excited:) We've stayed at the GF before and loved it but this is our first time staying club level at any resort.

To get me even more excited for our trip, would anyone who has stayed at RPC tell me what you just loved about it? I know it's pricey but many of you keep coming back. Just wanted to hear what makes it so wonderful!

Yeah, I think we just need to get ourselves into the right mindset, LOL.

He's just a ball of energy, and wants things very much his way....The last few trips with him were so easy, I know this will be a challenge. I will be bringing plenty of diversions for him :rotfl2:

Keep in mind this is back in 05' but sitting looking out the enormous window while having a beverage listening to the live beautiful piano music being played.

That and when my husband sat down and the underside of the table apparently had something very sticky and it got on his pants, we went and told this to the concerige desk and she had it dry cleaned. First though the one guy told me I could pay for them to dry clean it and I said "I would if we had spilt something on them"
Then the other Concerige stood up and intervened saying that she will have them dry cleaned at no charge to us.

They previously had worked some magic to get us our Breakfast at the castle the next day after we overslept after our wedding and flight there.

This is VERY intriguing news! I did have to switch to a GF/DF diet a few weeks ago and have already reached out to DSS for our August trip...hoping those AKL desserts that I am so addicted to are mostly GF, but not optimistic, lol. They replied very quickly saying that they've passed on the details to the CL staff and that they'll make sure I won't starve (paraphrasing here, I confess).

It would be amazing if they offered an option like what you describe for times that everything that's out is glutinous ;)!

I also didn't know that the BW window does GF. Thanks for sharing.

For something so important, I have no doubt that they would take very good care of your dad :). Just email DSS in advance so you have a paper trail and they will guide you from there!
