Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Hi everyone! I am so excited to join this forum! We stayed Polynesian CL last June and we are so excited to stay at the RPC at the Grand Floridian for daughter's 8th birthday this June! We have a standard club level room booked and I was wondering if anyone had any room suggestions. I have been trying to find a room that could provide some firework views but it's just really hard to tell. Also, anyone have any advice or any must dos while we are there? This is a bucket list item and not sure we will be able to do it again so we don't want to miss anything :) Thank you for any help you can give!!
This is fantastic, thank you. When were the reports of the upgraded food at Poly? We stayed July of 2016 so just wondering if more recent than that. We found the CMs then to range from completely disinterested to downright rude. Food choices were really bad.
OMG....We stayed 2 times last year March and 4th of July week, your review of the POLY was spot on. We just came back from GF RPC....no words on the magnitude of difference. I'm not sure I can get my DH to go back to the Poly...maybe with some additional positive posts about the food and CM's. Irv is wonderful in the lounge! A true WDW gentleman!

Has anyone stayed at Poly during Christmas to New Years? Would just staying at Poly and watching fireworks from the beach be a good option for New Years eve? Or even watching from the the club?

Trying to decide what room requests to put in for RPC...Would a two year old count towards the room occupancy total? I booked a deluxe room in RPC over the phone and didn't think to ask if the room booked was king or queen, and our reservation doesn't say. In the room is two adults, 5 year old, two year old, and a infant. Thanks!

If there is also an infant in the room, then yes, the 2 year old will count against room occupancy.

Hi Everyone,

We just back from our first Poly CL stay and it was fantastic from start to finish. Please can I go back??? They met us right off the Magical Express knew us by name. Mina (Nina) walked us right over to Hawaii even taking some pictures on the way. Sabra checked us in and she was fantastic. We we were offered any beverage we wanted right away. The little girls were so excited with their sprites and of course my friend and I chose a nice sparkling wine. They actually have this new texting app too where I was able to text Sabra or the other CL concierges on duty if there was anything we needed while out. They texted me several times during the stay to see if we needed anything at all. Where is Sabra now???

As some of you remembered I changed my ressie to TPV. Best decision ever!! They granted my request for 3rd floor and put us in room 3506. We couldn't have been more pleased with the view, the housekeeping, room service on some nights. Nothing like $45 steaks at 10pm :crazy2:

As far as Hawaii longhouse and the lounge we were in heaven. I loved hanging out every morning in the lounge or 2nd seating area and enjoying my coffee and pastry. To me the food offering were great and plentiful. I don't know if this was the time of year we were there because the lounge was never crowded at all. I don't have anything to compare to since this was our first time staying there. But we have stayed BC CL, YC CL, WL CL, GF SL CL, and BWI CL and were just as pleased. The wine/beer was out and self serve and every evening the CM would bring over the wine to see if we wanted more. I thought they were all fantastic with Irv from Maryland being my favorite. There was also an awesome CM in the morning too and I can't for the life of me remember her name. My friend was obsessed with the $10 million dollar coffee machine and now wants to become a barista. The afternoon snacks were impressive to me because they had grilled chicken and bib lettuce, fantastic dressing and we could make a salad for lunch.

The music was piped in each night and was great on the beach as well. I think this was one of the best trips ever and the location was incredible.

Thanks for letting me remember last week! I need another trip. :dancer:

Irv, I see him every time. It's nice to meet someone proud of where they work and also enjoy it.

Loved reading this - thanks for posting! I'm so intrigued about Poly's recent additions to afternoon snacks. Love the idea of chicken wrap/salad as it makes a perfect poolside snack.

Another thing that stands out to me is the new texting app. So this is an actual app? Or is it just texting? This sounds similar to the prior texting some CL's offered for a little while. I will admit it sounds enticing to receive text messages asking if we need anything! I'm sure I could come up with a thing or 2. ;)

Thanks so much for this review. I just reserved three Poly CL rooms for a family vacation in May 2018. I've been so indecisive about keeping it due to some negative reviews. For some reason, I can read 10 great ones and 1 bad one and it's the negative one that sticks out to me. But I think we are set no matter what. It's the ease of transportation to MK with our four little grandchildren that keeps me hooked on the Poly.

Quick question. Will we receive anything in the mail like the confirmation booklet? It's the little blue one. We booked a split stay and I already got the book for our moderate resort stay. I just wanted to know if I'd get something different for the club level stay.

No, no additional special mailings. The old Incredibles-themed books would have a personalized page acknowledging you're staying club level and have access to pre-planning concierge services, food/beverages, and other basic/generic stuff about CL (it wasn't particularly useful but I always thought it was kind of nice to have that level of customization in a mass-produced mailer). The new blue books don't note anything about staying CL.

On a related note, I have a handful of reservations booked the balance of the year and the order I've recieved the blue booklet for those stays has had zero relationship to when I booked or the date of the reservation! Seems totally random!

Thanks for this post! Now I am even more excited to checkin in just 4 more days!

Can you get celebration buttons from the concierge? It will be my son's first trip and I'd like to get a button for him.
I have seen them at the cl concierge desk, regular check in desks and at the parks at check out area in the shoppes.

In January they stood in the middle of Main Street MK with a box and let you pick what you needed.

What do you think of poly cl adding sparkling wine??

@HBGdancermom did they have that all day or just for check in?
