Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Wanted to chime in that we just stayed at CR CL TPV in May. We booked what I'm sure was Atrium but wound up getting the Tower CL which was fine by us. I don't know if it's because of the fact that the rooms on that floor are mostly suites or what, but the lounge was almost always empty and we could have our sometimes literal run of the place (5 year and 18 month old).

A few of the CL CM's were a bit "cold" but overall, they were friendly and we had a few that were great.

We loved the giant balcony that for us was more like a patio. The kids had a great time and loved it out there. We had room 4913 which had a huge bathroom that was awesome for getting both kids in and out of the tub. All 4 of us could be in that bathroom with room to spare. We also had a huge closet that was awesome.

We did also have great experiences with bell services, RAC, and the front desk CM's

The Holy Grail of CL upgrades! That sounds incredible!

Oh my! we'd never stayed at CR before, but have stayed in a few of the deluxes and one other CL.

I was trying to explain it to my husband without seeming too obvious though! Like, hey they're letting us onto the fancy floor! Man, we must have good luck or something. We also were able to get one of the 4 Boardwalk CL rooms that is standard view for booking but happens to be straight over the Boardwalk. We put it in the request that time and got it, though that was during September.

Of course this CR room was double the price!

We loved the location, we loved the lounge, the room itself was great, balcony was totally awesome. The thing we didn't like was the overall busy-ness of the resort itself. That's totally subjective though, but overall, a good stay for sure. We made use of the walk to MK for sure so that was ideal for us.

We tried to go peek at the 12th floor lounge on our last day but our bands didn't work in the elevator and we didnt care enough to try any further.

I totally agree with you about CR. CR holds a special place for me from a sentimental perspective - it was the "big fancy resort" that we'd pass by as a kid on our way back to a pop-up camper at Fort Wilderness. Staying there as an adult with my own kids was a little special joy. We loved it there, except for the pool configuration and overall "busyness" like you say (which are pretty big attributes in our view). We had great CM interaction (arguably better than my Poly and GF trips) and since we were there during Christmas Party season the walkability to MK was perfect. My DS got a 24 hour Disney bug on that trip and several CM's were pure angles. Personally I prefer the vibe of Poly and GF over CR, but it wouldn't stop me from going back. My profile pic is my DS looking out over the balcony at the MK when we first got to the room - totally priceless.

Anyway, thank you for posting about your trip! That upgrade sounds fantastic! I may or may not be searching CR CL dates right now... Darn you! Lol.

Hey guys :)
I'm still not getting notifications, so remember if you want to be added to the Guest List you have to send me PM or I won't get it.

Extended family decided to join us for our trip in September and we now have a second 1-bedroom suite CR CL tower room booked for them on 9/6-9/10. There had been zero options for free dining or many of the options and when I happened to check the other night, boom! CL + FD we are all so excited!

Just changed our GF lagoon view room to a sugarloaf concierge for our upcoming trip. This will be our third time club level (Boardwalk & Poly before) but it has been a while.I am interested to compare. I am so excited. 8 days to go....

Staying at Portofino  But I didn't have a lot of options this short notice. And I didn't want to do a value or mod. God I'm so spoiled.
I've got Disney and Universal APs so i can split time between the two. Somehow I managed to get fastpasses for everything I wanted. Very shocking!!!!!!!!

Hi, after getting a last minute deal on orbitz we are now staying at sugarloaf GF. Sooooo excited. I am very confused about what is and is not included, seems like it has been changing a lot. So perhaps people can answer my obscure questions

1) are drinks available throughout the day or only when snacks are offered? If yes, is it just soft drinks or could I ask for a glass of wine to enjoy while the kids nap in the late afternoon?

2) hard boiled eggs at breakfast?

3) bottled water? Or bring your own refillable cup? I drink ALOT of water can I get a jug in my room lol.

4) anyone rented a cabana? Is it worth it if you have club level access? We are planning one full pool/resort day

5) can you see the fireworks from the beach? Or somewhere else?

6) and random magic kingdom question, can you rent strollers while you wait for the rope to drop or do you have to wait till after the rope drops?

I think that is all right now. The more I read the more questions pop in my head

Me too :) And I've got a rental car so driving over to WDW is no big deal. Booked for 6/13-6/20 I don't think I've ever stayed there for a long stay before, but it will work out fine. I'm going with a laid back attitude about it all. I just need to get away.

Love Sugarloaf! Had two great stays there last year! :)

1) If you want alcoholic drinks during the day you have to ask someone to get them for you from the back. Usually they are nice about it. I've never been told no.

2) Yes

3) Yes

4) Honestly I don't think its necessary unless you just want a fun splurge

5) Yes

6) Yes you can get a stroller before rope drop

:)

Sorry I've been MIA! My life is insane. Long story short, being a single Mom is the hardest job in the WORLD! I don't recommend it. :rotfl2: I need to find a Disney loving man, what's the dating site for Disney fanatics?? :rotfl:

For October I have poly CL and PBH CL booked. PBH is a lot cheaper so we may just drive to WDW for MNSSHP
You'll have a fabulous time!
