Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

We've stayed that room type on several trips...the REAL key is going to be if the Club Level food AND experience is up to par to make it worth us (we're happy to pay for experiences - but also within reason for the value we're getting.).



Thank you! I have 7.30 dinner reservations at California Grill on my 2nd night so I'll just keep that one. I will probably still EAT at Citrico's, but won't worry about the exact timing of it since I don't have to see the fireworks right afterwards.

But you HAVE TO catch one of the EWP with the castles in it. You have several times to get it in.

We stayed at GF RPC for the 50th last week. It was our first RPC stay. Apologies for the photos - they are pics taken from a quick video of RPC Twilight Refreshers on 9/28.

Just back, got clarification on why the AKV DVC CL folk were moved off the 6th floor and into hotel rooms ...
There's major underground construction going on in that little savanna area over there and they didn't want anyone with that view. I guess it was just easiest to say move all the rooms on CL than to say just avoid such-n-such room numbers. Low number of guests made it easier to accomplish this.

I have to say I'm a big fan of a quieter lobby than with a full house of guests. Usually we can't hear the water running in the fountain, now it's pretty easy to hear.

I'm still curious what they did with the 1br folk Since even 2 hotel rooms will not be close to the equivalent.
I saw some folk coming out of a 1 br unit with a pool view.

The good: the hotel CL room we were moved to, the view was excellent, and it was reasonably close to the lobby.
The bad: the electronics in the hotel room were all wonked up, some lights would work some of the time, the fridge made a horrible buzzing sound, the smoke detector was flashing all night. Wasn't worth reporting since my son simply unplugged the fridge, left the lights alone and tossed a piece of a sticky pad over the blinking light. (removed it when he checked out this morning).

I'd have to say my value DVC room was the better of the two rooms even though it was a pool view and the hotel room was recently renovated.

The food service was good. Did miss the noontime soup, that was my favorite snack of the day.
I'm still disappointed in the deserts they put out. All those oily little cupcakes taste horrible and the tarts and custards are just nasty bites of sugar.
Really, of all the food offered only the butter chicken and croissants are to be talked about. The rest feels like cheap diner material.

But overall, it's the service that keeps me coming back. Everyone was incredible, even when I had issues, even when I popped back up for the third time in one service for another amazing cappuccino.

Oh, and a little magic helped me to obtain all 6 of the new room keys Can't wear them like a pin, but they're adorable.

Cindy, We have a 6th floor DVC club 1 bedroom villa reserved for the middle of Oct. No phones calls to change it at this point. Were those villas open as you checked out?

I saw someone coming out of a room overlooking the pool on the 6th floor as I sat with yet another cappuccino. Since the studio folk have all been moved I'd have to say it was a one bedroom and two or three of those units are open, I forget how many are on that pool view side. I never saw anyone coming or going on the savanna side, nor were there any housekeeping carts on that side at any point.

We have a 1 bedroom CL villa booked for 10/11-10/15. We received a call last Friday that we are being moved but will still have CL access. The CM said the construction completion is delayed. He didn’t indicate when it woul be completed. I was surprised today when I saw the difference in points pack in my dvc account. Thankfully in time to bank them.

He didn’t indicate when it woul be completed. I was surprised today when I saw the difference in points pack in my dvc account. Thankfully in time to bank them.

We check in on the 16th but I haven't had a phone call yet. Just curious what was the point difference? Are you in a Savanna view or standard or did they say? But you are indeed still getting CL access? I wouldn't mind to be moved if I got some points back....always short on points!

Correct, you just get luck of the draw, savanna vs pool view. Seems like a great compromise, better/guaranteed savanna view plus less points. Only con, you aren't on the same floor as CL. Hopefully they'll put you near the CL and not at the end of one of those very long hallways.

I only know what villa was booked because it is done based on what accessible things you need. I requested the villa with the tub rails and the only DVC one with that is on the savannah side. The one next to it has lowered cabinets and a roll in shower and I do not need those.

Well the duck is not really 'day of' so it doesn't qualify. That box they are selling as a preorder for $500 on ShopDisney is ridiculous and that's what set me off >$1,000 per night, how could we be so arrogant as to expect a trinket! GADad you brought this salt here, lol.

The photopass offer was lame. Everyone has a dang iPhone that takes better pictures anyway.

I think we should have got a pin! Dang people on that thread got me so salty I wrote to Chapek, 'where is my pin?'

I was not wading into that melee on the other thread ( and I left the Emporium during the actual fight) but I agree a pin is not too much. They hand them out whenever there is a refurb

For those who have stayed BWI Deluxe, how much value did you get out of the Deluxe room vs standard? We will have 4 “Adults”, so trying to decide if the space is worth the extra ~$175 night. Looks like there’s an extra section with the sofa, chair, tv etc.

With 4 adults? The extra space would absolutely be worth it to me. Only 1 bathroom, but two TV's, a comfortable living room and balcony. Lots of space.
