Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

This is something I’ve been keeping my eye on too. None of the suites at any of the resorts have been moved back to the CL category. “Presumably” they will at some point (maybe just not a big priority for Disney?) and those with suite reservations once CL reopens where applicable will be CL Access like normal times… I guess!

Sort of a strange set of circumstances for Disney.
I will definitely not be paying that price without CL! 😝

Did you click on the "Save 25% on room" tab? The entire month of September is pretty much available. Make sure your check out date is 9/30. That's when the promotion ends.
I actually have two reservations with AKL right now. One ends on 9/30 to take advantage of the 25% promotion. The other starting on 09/30 going into October (rack rate).
This whole time I was thinking you had to start by 10/29. Now it all makes sense why those weekend prices are so high. You don't have to check out by 9/30 but the rates from that date are rack.

Paying rack rate for the 50th who would have thought we would all be doing this :scared:

"We're going to build a Polynesian themed hotel over here, a hotel with the monorail running through it over there, and 50 years from when we open we'll charge people $1,000 a night to stay there."
- Walt Disney (maybe)

I guess he was right!

Dd has been looking for her reception venue. I am doomed. The Mayflower in DC made wallpaper out of past guests signatures. Yep you guessed it . Walt’s name on the wall sealed the deal. Dd needs that honeymoon suite now🥰

I’m not going to do the math, I’m not going to do the math....

oh goody when can we start planning, we can help you pick out the menu.

I meant the suite at the mayflower. It’s included with reception. I think she needs the Walt suite at GF. They want to stop for one - two nights at wdw at the end of the honeymoon .

I have looked at the location of the honeymoon suite at poly, could be worse😅

Oh wow. Well good luck with all that. Couldn’t convince her to do it at the WDW Four Seasons??

For those that have CL ressies, has anyone heard from the Disney Signature Services team? Is that part of CL up and running?

I have CL at CR for the 50th. Have not heard from DSS yet but they have been up and running this whole time with the VIP tours and whatnot. They just had a skeleton crew for a long time.

But even prior to the closures it was hit or miss whether or not DSS would proactively contact you prior to the trip.

I just booked Kilimanjaro Club for Septmeber and have been worried about it not really being open. Your comment about DSS reminded me! I am going to call them today to verify its open. Thank you!!! I doubt they have enough staff right now to contact everyone so I am going to call them. Half the time in the past I never heard from them before a stay.
I just checked DSS page; it says:
How It Works

The Disney Signature Services team is available to the following Guests at Walt Disney World Resort:
  • Guests Staying in Eligible Room Types: If you have a confirmed non-Disney Vacation Club reservation for one of the eligible room types listed above, please contact Disney Signature Services for your personalized vacation planning experience.

For those staying at CR for the 50th bday weekend, what are you thinking in terms of booking dinner ADRs? I will definitely take CL hours into consideration as we are all paying like $8 million to stay there :rolleyes1

I would love to finally try California Grill, especially since this is also a belated 40th birthday trip for my gf (hers is the end of July), but I'm sure it will be nearly impossible to get an ADR there that weekend. And I am still really curious to see what will end up happening with the Wave. But if Citrico's is open again by then we may try that, since we had it booked for last year's doomed trip.

Touring Plans ADR finder has yet to let me down, but I have a feeling if we can't manage anything at the monorail resorts we may opt for Disney Springs instead.

And I am wondering if they will block out CG for a special event type party where they will charge a set (very high) price. I know exactly how they would word it, with 'fireworks viewing' included.
