Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Omg I know....I've had the hardest time trying to decide to try the CR . We had to play around with dates a couple of times and at one point I changed to WL CL as it was quite a bit cheaper, but I just couldn't follow through with it with CR CL having 20% off (I usually see 10-15% anytime I get quotes). I love the WL at Christmas time and really wanted to stay CL with the new lounge set up as it's been a long time since our WL CL stay, but really wanted to try CR as well, so I stuck with it....and I'm so glad I did because we had THE BEST time!!!! Yes, I agree that all the rooms are centrally located and there's really none that are out of the way or too far from the lounge. And the views.....omg....amazing lake views....just beautiful. We watched fireworks from the lounge 2 nights and it was amazing....doesn't get much better than that .

We also loved the walkway to/from MK. Like you said, both the monorail and boat are nice, but it's hard to beat the convenience of walking. I agree, the CR is a totally different atmosphere compared to the Poly & GF, but it's so unique in its own way. This stay completed all of the deluxes for me and while the Poly will always be my fav, it will be hard choosing where to book future trips because the CR (along with others) are now running a close second to the Poly .

CL was just amazing! The food was constantly replenished, the CL CMs were always available and willing to help with anything if needed, and they always gave a warm welcome when getting off the elevator/leaving/coming into the lounge....it was such an amazing stay and we can't wait to go back! I totally agree with you on the sinks in the room....omg they were frustrating...lol. That and the shower heads were disappointing, but other than those 2 things the rooms are very nice, comfortable and spacious with plenty of room to spread out.

Just a quick note, as today is kinda busy - all the extended family are coming here for Christmas dinner soon! But I wanted to say "Thank you" for all you do on these boards to make everyone feel comfortable and welcome. You are awesome!

Our next trip may be end of Jan/early Feb 2020. Just trying to get work sorted to see if it will actually happen. If it doesn't, then we will have to wait until next fall at the soonest. So I have my fingers crossed! LOL!

Update from GDT CL
Still no labels on any food
It isn’t a big deal to us, I’ll try most anything and since it’s one bite, if I don’t like it, not much waste.
Still, strange thing to have no labels anywhere. Even if things change often, there’s no reason they can’t print something out on a printer each evening. It takes seconds

Ah, thank you for such kind words, that's very nice of you to say . I post periodically on other threads, but this is the one I frequent the most as you and everyone else here are always so friendly and helpful .

Hello all - apologies if this has been asked and answered but I didn't see it. I am staying in a Poly DVC villa in July with my husband and two kids. My parents just told me they booked a Poly club level resort room for three of the days we're there! Very excited to have childcare help. I know we can't go mooch off of the food, but is it frowned upon if my kids wanted to go watch the fireworks with their grandparents, or if one kid wanted to stay with my folks for a night? I'm just not sure how flexible things are when club level is involved. Again, not trying to get away with anything, but I know my parents want a lot of grandkid time but they also like hanging out in the club level lounge when it's super hot. I'd love to hear if anyone has experience with this or something similar? Thanks!

Personally I’d have your parents speak to them regarding the situation when they arrive. I have a feeling it will be a ok for the kids to hang with their grandparents. But the staff should solve any questions they have about it

My experience:
As a grandparent that planned to babysit my grandchildren in my CL room, I added them to my reservation. That way, I thought, they had legitimate access during our stay. However, it did cause some issues as they were booked as staying in two places at once. I explained what I was doing when I added them to our reservation and upon arrival, but it still seemed to cause a small amount of trouble upon arrival. No one was upset or said that I couldn't do this, but it took a few minutes with Magic Bands conflicts that needed to be resolved.

I would wait and let the CM's know at the resort on the nights that they would be staying with the grandparents. I have never had a problem having my grandchildren with me when staying CL, neither overnight in the room, nor at the pool, nor in the lounge. AS adults staying in the room, we are entitled to book young children that are relatives to stay with us free of charge. AT least that is my understanding and no CM has ever had an issue with that.

In fact, even my adult children were invited (by the CM on duty) to join us in the Lounge along with the grandchildren on one occasion.

I would be very surprised if you had any issues. We have done this many times without any problem (with the minor exception of the magic band conflict).

Yeah While you can be in two rooms at once your band can only open one at a time. I’d just have them to work the parents room and expect to be with them for CL access

We are having a blast! Doing nothing lol
We’ve done very little in the parks

We love the big lounge here. It’s so comfortable. Like no other with all the space to spread out

Sounds delightful! So happy to know that you are enjoying the GDT club level! It has been a crazy Christmas here at home, so I envy you the relaxing time doing very little.

We’ve had some fun stuff
Got to watch a thieving squirrel at Kennedy space center. She runs in the store, steals snacks low on the display and escapes. She did her exploit right in front of us. Then walked along the line of folks waiting to join in for dine with an astronaut showing us her bounty.
We watched an incident in the parking lot today. Some dummo got a luggage cart, despite the signs and let it go rolling in the parking lot. Some dumber dummo then drove into it instead of letting it roll past. He totally cold have avoided it. It was real life dumb and dumber. Lol
