Last year there were Mickey waffles in the lounge at WL! I don’t recall anything else in particular. It’s entirely possible something else special was offered (like with appetizers), but we just remember the Mickey waffles,

Ahh we just missed it. We stayed at WL Club for the next 10 days after thanksgiving and I ran down to roaring fork twice to get Mickey waffles.

Thanksgiving night , when we arrived I remember some small bites of turkey and I want to say stuffing

Sooo couldn’t resist an RPC discount. We switched from a 2BR at Riviera to RPC for late March ! I have sticker shock at the discounted RPC price (we usually go in lower-priced seasons), and I am still nervous about the March crowds, but we are so happy to know we are going to our happy place at our “home” GF!

That's the question all of us have...those that stole the room for 70% less than rack rate. Let's see what happens in the next week. Personally, I think they will let it go. There can't be many of us that got lucky in that short window. That's what I'm hoping anyway.

Sooo couldn’t resist an RPC discount. We switched from a 2BR at Riviera to RPC for late March ! I have sticker shock at the discounted RPC price (we usually go in lower-priced seasons), and I am still nervous about the March crowds, but we are so happy to know we are going to our happy place at our “home” GF!

Still kicking myself. I found rates were released before 7am and texted my friend, she got the amazing BWI cl rate. For some reason I wasn’t in the AP just GP rates and couldn’t find any deals. It never occurred to me an AP was also out.

Rats! However for pres weekend my RR rate is still great.

Well, large computer errors in pricing are very different than the Skyliner accident. Hard to tell if/when Disney may take a hard line on the pricing.
It would be nice if the folks that booked the crazy high discount get to keep the deal.

Thanks @trishadono ! Sadly, I’m not an AP holder, so just got GP discount. But 20% is better than nothing! Of course, 70% at BWI CL would’ve been a tad bit better than that RR rate is amazing- RPC rate for ONE room (we booked two) was the same as RR 2BR preferred rate. You definitely got a great deal!

I think it’s 80-20 they let it slide. Of course I’m biased, but they should own the mistake. That $8.99/bottle club level Cabernet is going to go down so much easier!

I hope they let it go. If not I hope they deal with it soon so there is still a chance of getting a discount on another room.

And your friend texted me...I was very tempted but didn't book it. Thanks for the heads up. I did book a YC room in April later that night when things calmed down and I was able to get in. Keep getting the we are in orbit screen which then kicked me back to the home page over and over so I gave up. I didn't realize it at the time but we are arriving on Easter, for some reason Easter was cheaper than the next week. Glad you got a good RR rate.

I just have to say, whenever DSS calls me regarding a recently booked CL stay I always feel like an idiot when I get off the phone lol. I never know what to say, and of course they ask if I have any requests they can take care of right then and I'm like "No, I think I'm good for right now" and then every.single.time I get off the phone and think "Oh yeah, I could have put in a room request....." or something similar *sigh* . It never gets any easier for me, I always forget they can help me with stuff and I end up doing it all myself....maybe this time will be different.

70%?!!! good golly , I thought my 51% was amazing but that is astounding (as long as they let you/us keep it).

Have a short stay coming up; was able to switch to WL CL, as a room opened up. I’m really happy, as we’ll be getting in mid-day on check in day and leaving late, so it will be nice to have the lounge there as a place to relax if we want. Also, WL is my favorite, so, wahoo on all counts!

We’ve recently figured out that my youngest is gluten sensitive/intolerant. I spoke with DSS and they said they would tell the resort and that someone would meet us when we arrived to talk about gluten free options at the lounge. It’s been an adjustment going gluten free, and that was a relief to hear. If anyone is interested I can share what our experience is.

This will be my second club stay, my first was for the SWGE AP preview, for one night, at Yacht. I didn’t really get the hang of it, we were there such a short time and kept going to the lounge when it was between food offerings. Loved the room there, and I did enjoy a nice glass of Riesling that night. I’m looking forward to a bit more relaxed of a time at WL, given we have a couple of nights.

Even when the gates are closed in between offerings they say you can still ask for coffee or adult beverages, they just want the area empty while they clean and set up .
