Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Leaving today.... but plan another trip soon. We have found our "happy place".

Glad you had a great time! Have fun planning your next trip :).

We are having a great trip so far. We stopped into Epcot to get the Illuminations spirit jersey and we picked up a chef Figment Funko Pop while there, the food booths opened at 10 am yesterday which surprised me, especially because the park was pretty dead at that time (except merchandise lines). We walked out back through I gateway and the Skyliner was running, but not accepting passengers from the Epcot station, so we took the bus from the beach club to DS. We did Wine Bar George for brunch (delicious, highly recommend), while there, we received our room ready text ~11:30 am.

Once at the Poly, we went to our room in Tonga and met the nice concierge at the desk who reviewed all the perks and such with us. Spent the afternoon at the pool and going to the Hawaii building for pog-mosas (that part may have just been me). We had a nice rum filled dinner at the Trader Sams Tiki Terrace and watched the water pageant and fireworks from the beach. The only 'issue' with that was it was really hard to hear the Happily Ever After music from where we were seated on the sand in front of the 'fence'. Otherwise, it was absolutely perfect. I have been meaning to get to the Poly to do this since we started coming to WDW, but never got around to it, personally, I much prefer the view from here than from the Contemporary.

My husband, unfortunately, had a side effect from the treatment that he has been receiving for a herniated disk in his back so he had to video chat a teledoc (yay for live health online!) to have a prescription called into Turner Drugs, but they were also awesome and delivered his prescription to the front desk in about an hour from receiving it, so all was well in the end.

We had a tonga toast delivered for breakfast, such an awesome perk! Now we are hanging out in the room before California Grill Brunch (I know I know, so much food, but we had to cancel our brunch from our April trip so I am committed to this).

Once back, we will change into our Halloween costumes and head to the party! The weather has been fantastic, I usually hate coming this time of year as I find it way too hot, but yesterday was great as long as you were out of the sun, and I almost wanted a sweatshirt while watching the fireworks.

I know there has been some discussion of the Poly not having a GM email address like the other resorts, and only having the QR code available during your stay. We receive both the QR code paper and also a card with the Resort Duty Manager's phone number and the GM email address, but I am not sure if it is OK to post that email since it seems they don't usually give it out.

Sorry about your DH. I hope he's feeling better. Glad you're having a great time so far! Hope the rest of your trip continues to be just as great :wizard:.

If you do find out an email where we can send messages, please do list it. We just got home a couple of days ago, and I saw that paper on the bed but was told that the GM is no longer there, so no use in sending him a comment! I want to commend several CMs but who knows who to contact?

I don’t want to leave my Tonga room!!!!! Sadly, it is time for us to move on to BCV. I will post later my overall thoughts of the Poly and CL here. I told my husband the only thing I want for Christmas is one of these bathrobes!!!! If anyone knows where to purchase I would be quite thankful.

Thanks for taking time out of your trip to post a little about your Poly stay. Looking forward to reading your overall thoughts of Poly CL. Enjoy your time at BCV :wizard:.

The 10% discount is our experience as well. And I think in the fine print of the discounts it typically states that suites only get 10%. That's why that deluxe CL room at WL always seems like such a steal to us when it gets a bigger discount, because it functions as a suite due to the separate living room with the sofabed. Wasn't it actually classified as a Junior Suite several years ago?

And regarding price, it's generally less expensive to get 2 rooms than it is to get a suite. We've always bitten the bullet and paid for the more expensive suite though because our D is under 18 and nervous about staying in a room by herself, since connecting rooms aren't guaranteed...she never wanted us to chance it. But since OP on this issue is traveling with another family, it sounds like it wouldn't be a problem for them.
Thank you so much for the info- we usually stay club level but will look into the Villas. I'm thinking separate rooms will be the best route.

Do they ever discount the Poly CL TPV rooms? I'm thinking no.... We will probably stay there regardless but a dsct would be nice. :)

Sure, definitely. I’ve (almost) always stayed in that room category with one. Granted....the Poly discounts (both general public and AP) have been pretty crappy for a few years. Think 10-15%, an occasional/rare 20% or 25%. The other resorts have had “better” deals, generally speaking.

Okay thanks! I might have gotten the 10% 2 years ago when I booked that category. :)

Yeah, it kind of stinks on some level. Among the highest rack rates of any Disney resort room category and the Deluxe resort with consistently the lowest of the discounts. 😢

Only bright side is it keeps me trying other places I guess. :-)

Can anyone provide some insight as to what any of the lounge offerings are on Thanksgiving? Do they do anything special?

We just got 35% off lagoon CL with the military discount drop last week. We weren't looking to stay CL, but it was all that was offered for the poly. Zero complaints from me. ;)

What a great discount! We stayed Poly LV CL last year and I loved it! Hope you have a great trip :wizard:.

Thought I’d throw a few pics up from another beautiful Deluxe BWI room!!!

Thanks for sharing! Hope you're having a great time :goodvibes.

Just a note, with my convention coming up in December at CSR, I have a Tuesday night with extra club level deluxe suites available. If anyone wanted to do club for one night to see how it is, this might be a good opportunity. PM me....
