Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Oh:-(

They didn't have it every day, but usually once or twice during our week stay there would be trifle. I wonder if they've done away with it all together then.
I wasn't there a whole week because my time was split with BC-CL, but I did not see it any afternoon. I saw the trifle in previous pics of CL offerings and assumed it had just went away. Maybe it is only for "RPC" now like the waffles? If it isn't out maybe you can ask?

I had forgotten that when we stayed at RPC a few years ago they had the trifle. We were there 5 nights last week and I never saw it, just scones during tea time. I feel like I remember reading on here at some point between our previous stay and now that they stopped having it.

Poly CL tonight had:
Chicken nuggets
Uncrustables
Pineapple, caramel and grapes
Edamame salad
Pork belly
Crab Rangoon
Citrus shrimp- poached I think
Pita, veggies, and cheese

It was crazy crowded and I could not get picks I will try tomorrow though @trishadono !
The lounge was insane. I suppose it didn’t help that the pools were closed during the evening.

We’d rented a 1/2 day patio and only got like an hour in it because of the closure.

So we went in to have some food and there was not a single table available. We had to wait and pretty much pounce when there was an opening lol.

Hopefully the lounge craziness dies down after tomorrow!

Not related to CL, but despite the crowds today, we had a surprisingly excellent MK day. The extended hours really make a difference. I’d originally intended to just hang around the Poly all day, but we switched our plans late last night. I somehow managed to get morning FP for Space, Splash and Thunder after enough refreshing on MDE last night. We met Cinderella/Elena & Tiana/Rapunzel and watched Carousel of Progress, Philharmagic and Country Bear Jamboree. Mine Train FP popped up for us before we took a break. We got all that done from about 10am-2:30pm.

We returned to the park after the fireworks, from about 10:30pm-1:30am (so close but couldn’t last til 2!) with another Splash FP and rides on Haunted Mansion, It’s a Small World, Teacups, Speedway, Peoplemover and Buzz. Not bad at all for such a busy day. Sleeping in tomorrow for sure!

Also encountered some unpleasant people in the lounge.

I agree!! MK was pretty good yesterday morning!!! We were able to do Mine Train, Splash, Philharmagic, Haunted, Peter and Pirates all in about 2 hours! We were shocked how calm it was. People probably wait till later in the day to come in if they’re staying still fireworks.

Thanks. Yes they always had it RPC are times there and have had it each time in SL too, but we haven't been the last couple years so guess they've changed up what they offer. I'm also now gathering RPC and SL are no longer identical in their offerings. :-(

My daughter and I enjoy the scones and I know the exact tarts you mean and we call them jam tarts as well. Our son will definitely be disappointed if they don't have trifle one day. lol I make it at his request for New Year's dessert each year but getting it on vacation too is always a bonus for him.
I haven’t seen trifle in close to 2 years. Jan 2018 I asked and they said they didn’t have it anymore. At that time I knew the cm and she got me one from GVTR. Unfortunately she is retired.

I would ask if they have ? Sometimes they try to get items if they can.

I received an email this morning welcoming my family (DD and me) to the Old Faithful Club for our vacation later this month. It was so nice to receive a personalized message like that! Our anticipation and excitement for this trip is bittersweet. For those who have been following my story, my mother passed away last month. This is a difficult summer for DD and me. We are looking forward to our Disney trip and checking out of all of that’s happened in our lives these past few months. Disney very much feels like our happy place, away from all of the cancer and hospitals and hospice we’ve lived these past few months with my mom. The email this morning was a nice surprise...a reminder that something fun is in our future.

I'm sorry about your mom's passing .

I hope you and your DD have a great trip with some much needed R&R :grouphug:.

So happy to be back at Poly and to have this view!

Pretty cool turn-down just now at Poly

Those are so cool! :goodvibes

Poly is packed in CL. I felt so bad for the CMs they just could not keep up. I’ve never seen it so crowded. Two families were fighting, so crazy! Holiday crowd I guess. Still so happy to be here. After so many
Park days we are finally having some down time!

The Poly is a perfect place for relaxing! Enjoy your downtime :goodvibes.

My mom passed a few months ago and I know how difficult and unimaginable it is.

I have NEVER seen such a rush for the dinner so that people were lined up on the stairwell and out to the 3rd floor hallway! For hot dogs!

:faint:

All went well on the beach. Rain held off and the view was great!!

Glad it was a nice night :).

Thank you both. Yes, it is unimaginably difficult...but at least we have something in the near future that hopefully will be a chance to check out from all of this.

Sorry about your patio. That stinks. That’s an awesome park day though!
Yeah the lounge was totally packed!!
Tonight selections have been:
Mini corn dogs and Mac and cheese on the kids table
Rolls
Tomato and mozzarella salad
Hamburger egg rolls
Barbecue sandwiches
Cheese and veggies

Pretty nice selection. Even though the line was out the door to the stairs it moved pretty fast.

Hope the weather improves!

Hi, I just wanted to drop a quick hello. I just returned from AKL and the Kilimanjaro Club. We had an amazing trip there. There was plenty of food and we enjoyed the African theme of it. The lounge staff was very nice and helpful. We got a savannah room and it was one of the renovated ones.
Below is some of the breakfast stuff on Monday morning. The only difference was the hot dish. Here was the corn beef hash in a corn bread. Sunday morning the hot dish was like a turkey and veggie quiche. The food was delicious and we were impressed.

These pics are of the afternoon offerings. The difference was the salads and soup. Sunday the soup was butternut squash and chicken corn chowder and a cauliflower salad. Monday was seasonal soup ( cream chicken curry) and the salad was a chick pea and edamame salad. I am sorry two of them are upside down and I am having trouble turning them.20190630_144113.jpg20190630_144121.jpg20190630_144429.jpg20190630_144435.jpg

I did ask for water bottles and did receive them. They were 12 oz. bottles.

I was told that the salads and the soups alternate days.

I was not able to get pics of the evening choices. There was veggies, fruit, hummus there was two hot dishes from the chef one was a seafood stew and the other a beef dish. There were hot dog appetizers wrapped in a corn bread.

Any questions please ask.

We were there last week & your pictures make me miss it so much! Glad you enjoyed it! I especially loved the butternut squash soup you mentioned; it was delicious.

I know what you mean about missing it. Glad you enjoyed your trip too. I came in with low expectations for this club level but it blew us away. The food was great. I enjoyed the butternut squash soup also but the chicken corn chowder was our favorite. The cauliflower salad was amazing too.

I love GM. Never occurred to me to make a mimosa. Do you do 50/50 blend?

Hey girl! So a CM asked if she could make me a drink (I asked for a mimosa)... of course I said sure! So it was called a ‘Grand Mimosa’: it was champagne, OJ, POG juice and Grand Mariner. It was delicious!! Definitely more than made up for not having Riesling!!! Definitely feeling pretty good after two! 😁😁 On my 2nd now! I’m on vacation!!!! 😂
