We just got back from Downtown Denver - Union Station where we were lucky enough to have gotten to see the Disney's Christmas Carol Train Tour. It was so cool. We were able to see some of the making of the movie. We are alll looking forward to seeing it when it comes out. It was very festive, and "Disney snow" was magical - the kids all started bouncing when they saw the snow. If it is coming to anyone's city it is worth the 3 hour wait to see it.

We were in LA a few weeks ago and it was there in Union Station. What an AWESOME looking train. We were not in LA for the Christmas Carol Train Tour but I will say it appeared very festive. They had carolers singing to the crowds as they waited in line. We asked about the wait, YUP, 3-5 hour wait........NOPE, not us.

OP, what was the tour like? What did you actually do? Sit on the train, watch a movie??? :confused3 I was so amazed at all the people lined up with kiddos to WAIT that length of time. I never waited that long for any attraction Disney related either in WDW/Orlando or DL/Anaheim.

We had planned on seeing it today or tomorrow but my DD is very sick. :(

I'm still looking forward to seeing the movie!

I've already got it on the calendar for when it arrives here in September ~ I can't wait! Glad to hear you enjoyed it so much! :goodvibes

Having no idea what this is all about, I googled the info.

The train will be in my area Sept. 25-27. I must put that weekend aside as I don't want to miss such a wonderful opportunity!
I also have a Christmas movie to look forward to.

Christmas and trains, two of my loves!

Thank you!

I am really looking forward to going when it comes here at the end of August.

Sounds cool. It will be at 30th Street Station in Philly October 27th ~ the day before my youngest's birthday. We plan on going. :goodvibes

As my DH just said while I am typing, I don't want to spoil anyone’s experience, so Warning the below contains a SPOILER if you don't want to know more about the actual tour. Stop now.
:cool1:
Ok, here is what our experience was...besides the 3 hour wait, inside the station, with strolling carolers... when we got to the train, we got to see the magical snow making outside. When we got to walk through the train, it housed the digital panels of video streaming of the making of the movie; some of the costumes; a few historical items, like the copies of the original play, with notes... old copies of the book a Christmas Carol. There was a room showing how they do 3D effects, and some of the scale models.
I must saw Jim Carey is a nut, the way he spoke of the movie making was funny. Lots of top notch stars and the new 3D effects will be cool in the movie theater. We exited the train to go to yet another line for the theater. (Much shorter line 30 minute wait.) When entering, we were provided the Disney 3D glasses - much like the ones for Bugs Life. We went into the inflatable, air conditioned, movie theater and got to view the preview. It was amazing. Worth the wait for us. Hope you all have as much fun! Oh --we took a few pictures, however we were told politely no pictures in the train. We have a few from outside the train and theater and the carolers, but that is about it.
