It's a bigger bed and a luxury? A couple can choose to pay less for 2 queens or pay more for 1 king. I don't really know? I don't set the Disney prices.why are they cheaper for less beds lol

Can anyone give me some advice on the preferred rooms
we are going to CBR for 15 nights in May 2022 with our twins, who will have just turned one
where are the preferred rooms located and do u think it’s worth the extra cost
Preferred Rooms are all in Barbados. In our opinion, no they are not.
and what is Barbados close to
Food Court, Front Desk and Main Feature Pool but a pretty good trek to the CBR Skyliner Station. We have found many Standard rooms in Jamaica and Aruba that are as close to those as some Preferred Rooms and yet much closer to both Skyliner Stations.
and I am guessing the rooms aren’t nicer or anything. All the same
Preferred rooms are near the main building, quick service, and the main pool. Standard are in Jamaica or Aruba and are closest to the skyliner. Pirate rooms are in Trinidad. It really depends on what you want. I would suggest googling Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and reading a few websites that compare the villages. Personally, we booked a king and then requested ground floor (for strollers, no stairs) and near skyliner. I called in and requested Jamaica to be near the main skyliner. But my sister stayed in Aruba and loved it because it is near the Epcot skyliner and the Riviera quick service. Can anyone give me some advice on the preferred rooms

we have a 5 sleeper room pool/water view. Any idea what that could be near. Just in case I should put any requests in to be closer to things
Here is a room finder so you can see what rooms match what you have booked. https://touringplans.com/hotel_maps...&date=2021-05-20&filters[connect]=&rooms=true

True but this user doesn't know the layout of the resort at all, so he/she can at least look and see which buildings are close to skyliner, pool, etc.Just be aware, that tool is extremely inaccurate when it comes to room type and room amenities.
They do impose additional fees for anyone in the room 18+ after the first two adults. So if you have three 18+ adults, you'd pay an extra fee per night for that person. As for why king beds are more expensive, I believe that is because there are a limited number of king rooms so they price them at a premium. The majority of the rooms have two queens so if you want a king, you gotta pay for it.yeah. Funny way to price things. You would think more beds and people in room would be more
It's only the playground area. They have to let people walk through because people arrive at the resort all throughout the night and need to access their room on the other sides.Do the walkways through Caribbean Cay close at night? I seem to remember someone mentioning gates closed on the island and assumed this only meant the playground area, but wanted to be sure.
