No problem! We were so happy to find one there. Also, just throwing this out there--Mousekeeping was incredible. Betty took care of our Room for most of our Stay and did such a great job. She'd find a Tip from us every day and would always thank us for it.

That is great to hear! We have our mouskeeping tip containers all decorated and ready for each day of our trip!

This is the food court looking from the Concierge desk towards Shutters. You have the deli, then 3 or 4 separate restaurants with meals from chicken, pizza, burgers...and across the pathway is the seating area.

We are so excited. Taking our first trip alone to the World and staying at CBR for the first time! I went back and forth between CSR and CBR (haven't stayed at either) and am glad I chose CBR for this trip.

I called today and added my requests. #1 is to stay in the same room for both my room only and package stays which is the one I want most. I don't want to mess with moving if I don't have to. #2 was Aruba 51. Everything is paid in full with only 47 days to go. Now I just need to decide if I want to add Memory Maker. It's getting closer!

Add memory maker! We have always thought it was overpriced, but tried it on our last trip. Absolutely awesome!!! Love getting all the pics from rides, and got some fun ones by various park photogs. Even my thrifty hubby says he would do it again!

I probably will. I want the ride photos this time since I've never bought them. And this time my parents are not going so I don't want to rely on the kindness of strangers to take family pics for me. Besides, I made myself an autograph book so I plan to do a lot of character meets!

I hope this doesn't sound silly but are the alligators a problem on the beaches? I know they put up rocks and does that discourage the alligators or just the people from going in the water? Also do you see any alligators just by the paths around the resort? There is a lot of water there.

Not silly, but honestly don't worry about them. alligators anywhere are only a threat if you don't follow simple steps...don't go in or right next to the water in the evenings...or approach them if you see them. Pretty much it.

We were toying with the idea of memory maker, but I'm glad we didn't. We had about 15-20 photos on Photopass that were of other people instead of our family.

Have you ever had a problem with alligators other than at the beach. I've stayed at POR and didn't even think about alligators before. After seeing from videos just how many alligators are around it does make me nervous.
However I'm definitely going to stay at Caribbean Beach Resort. It looks really great.

Have you ever had a problem with alligators other than at the beach. I've stayed at POR and didn't even think about alligators before. After seeing from videos just how many alligators are around it does make me nervous.
However I'm definitely going to stay at Caribbean Beach Resort. It looks really great.

Have you stayed at CBR before? I ask because the map of CBR makes the paths seem like they are really close to the water, which is not accurate. I would guess that at the closest point the paths are probably 50 feet from the water. Try not to worry.

No I have never been there and yes the maps look the paths are right on the water. That's great to know that they are not! Thanks.

We added MM our last trip and I think it was worth every penny! I didn't have any issues of other families showing up like PP. We stopped at every photographer we saw and got some great family shots. Having MM makes you want to get as many photos as you can, which I like. Plus with all your character meets, it'll pay for itself in no time!

I don't mind other families...just don't like it when I get on photopass and it is a whole other family and not a picture of my family. The CM that I spoke with said that our bands got mixed up with someone else.

I looked very hard for alligators and didn't see any. All the beaches are now having a fence and huge rock barriers. Looks very safe. I don't know how Disney did this so fast. The paths are not directly on the water's edge, but there are grassy areas in between at an incline. I am writing this, because I was worried about the same thing, but I was not worried when we were there.

We are getting ready for trip next week, and this is first time I did online check in,
we have Pirate theme room, so not many choices on building.
But I do want to call and request to have out group in same building and hopefully close, we have about 5 rooms.
Do I all the regular Disney 1800 number or specifically all Caribbean Beach?

It was very easy to call CBR directly. Had the number in my travel guide. They actually said that they like to take requests by phone.

OK we are just recently back from our first stay at CBR - I was nervous, because the resort gets such mixed reviews, but we absolutely loved it! If you have any questions, I will try to answer!
What we liked best: The pool complex! The food courts (Great variety! Lots of options!)! The landscaping/theming and the room itself!
