Does anyone know when the pools were last renovated at CBR? It seems to be one of those worries my family has every other time we try to plan a vacation and pool time is important to them. I love the idea of having a quiet pool and a laundry facility next door to each other, I have only been able to enjoy one once before at our YC stay back in 2013 and it truly was a blessing however i never did see a rest room next door to it You guys and girls are really helping me understand this resort and i just want to say for all your contributions and advice

The Main Feature Pool was last renovated in 2009 or 2010. I believe they just finished renovating all the quiet pools about 3 weeks ago.

Wow dansdad that was a fast reply!! That's great to know at least we should be worry free on that score, the boys will be so pleased They like the overall appearance of the resort and the fact it is so spread out. Walking isn't too much of an issue for us (we walk a lot at home 15,000-20,000 steps a day) but some swim time is often appreciated when they can get in a pool. Our local sports facilities are always overcrowded or half closed at any given time so they enjoy the chance to swim on vacation. I'm not worried about the bus scenario either that's just one of those things thats out of our hands and we always plan plenty of time to get to wherever we are going...heck i allow an hour just to use a public bus to get across town to work so vacation time I'm just kicking back and enjoying the path sometimes less travelled and meeting new folks and making the best of it. The room changes look fab too and so much fresher than the older colour schemes and tones. We have been trying to choose one resort for next October we had the option of POFQ or here or 10 days at YC but the boys(hubby and teen son) like the look of this one. I think they prefer the less in your face decor and the laid back atmosphere of it along with a unique main pool...that's pretty good considering Stormalong Bay was like a magnet to our boy three years ago we couldn't keep him out of it! So this is praise for the CBR, I'm thinking the room size will be very similar to the ones at WL so it will be fine for us too. Now to get back to reading the rest of this thread which is the best one I've found today on the resort very up to date Kudos to everyone for doing such a great job with it!

However, I read somewhere that Caribbean Cay was going to be closed off and you could take the internal bus or walk around. Can anyone confirm this information? If it is I plan to upgrade to a preferred room. Thanks in advanced!

Where did you see that? They were working on the bridge last October/November so Caribbean Cay was closed and you had to walk around the lake. I have not heard of this happening again this year.

Where did you see that? They were working on the bridge last October/November so Caribbean Cay was closed and you had to walk around the lake. I have not heard of this happening again this year.

Aruba pool was scheduled to be renovated until April 15th I read online. Maybe that is the other pool?

That was last year. The remodel is completed.

Close @dansdad, it was actually 2008. It was closed for our first visit in March of that year.

Does Disney allow 5 adults (not Disney adults, but 5 actual adults) to share 1 room with a murphy bed? I tried booking it for a friend & it would let me (although I didn't book yet) but I was surprised. I've stayed in a murphy bed room in POR so I know it would be fine for her (she's very short). Is there a weight limit?

There is no publicized weight limit. I was just able to go all the way up until "Checkout" for a room at CBR with 5 adults. The website has been acting wonky lately.

But to answer your question, yes WDW allows 5 adults in the Murphy Bed rooms at POR and CBR.

not sure if this has been asked already (I've tried searching with little luck). How much time to you allow to use the Disney buses to and from the parks or Disney Springs? Mostly thinking the time once you are on the bus, I understand they typically run about every 20 minutes or so.

We have never been let down by being at the bus stop 60 minutes before we want to be at the park or Disney Springs. Most of the time we are pretty early, but never been late for anything.

What are the benefits of the preferred rooms? Close to food court or bus stop? Looking for something close to bus stop for the youngest in our party. Thanks!
