Resort Thread Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH Resort

Does anyone know if there are any corner rooms that have double beds? I was looking at corner rooms on touring plans and they all seem to be king beds.

Double beds? Only in the Pirate Rooms.

Queen beds? Sure! There are a lot!! There are not a ton that are corner and King (one in Barbados, 13 in Trinidad North, NONE in Martinique, and like 1.5 buildings in Jamaica and Aruba), meaning all the others should be corner and Queen. Unless there are some accessible ones there...

When you search just select Standard/Double (obviously they haven't updated yet) and nothing else. I am seeing a TON - even in coveted Jamaica 45.

We had a corner room in Martinique 22 that had double beds (this was 2013, before the update). I would assume it has 2 queen beds now. I can't remember the room number, but it was a standard room, parking lot-ish view. We couldn't see the parking lot through the trees, though.

We are here now. We love this resort. We are in Jamaica building 43. The bridge is opening tomorrow at 300pm. I ordered a cake for my husband's bday and it was delivered to the room. We were at animal kingdom today and it was decorated for Christmas already. Heading to MK for the parade taping and we ate doing something we've never done before be there at park opening. Plus we have already gotten a lot of magic shots for our memory maker already.

Let me know of I can answer any questions. I'll try to post tomorrow again.

Can you please post photos of the resort's Christmas decorations? I can't find any. Thank you kindly

Hello Everyone!

We returned home on Thursday from our first trip to CBR. WE LOVED IT.

Going in I was slightly concerned with some peoples reports on how large the resort was....IT WAS NOT an issue. We were in 1228 in Barbados which is one of the further parts from the Center of the resort. (it did NOT have a murphy bed BTW) I timed it by myself it was a 6 minute walk, when I had my DS who is 5 it took us 8 minute.

The grounds are IMMACULATE and the staff was just wonderful. My only regret is not planning more time to spend hanging out at the resort. We started getting off of the Jamaica bus stop when we returned just so we could walk through the grounds.

Customs House Staff, Housekeeping, Restaurant Staff, Gift Shop staff were all amazing. Thank you to everyone on this forum for all of your help preparing us for our trip. It was truly magical. The Robb's will DEFINITELY be returning to CBR. :-)

Touring Plans room finder is extremely inaccurate. Yes, there are plenty of corner rooms that have 2 queens.

Thanks for the info :)

I figured it didn't seem right, pretty much every corner room I clicked on was showing as a king configuration. Thanks for your reply :)

Those that asked about wine, variety of choices ranging from 13-22 a bottle. My pics on my phone are too large so going to have to wait until I get home to load to computer and resize.
Thanks for that, not overly priced so I will probably get it from there when we arrive, rather than hold off to try and get it cheaper somewhere else, which would have proved difficult as we aren't going to have a car anyway:thumbsup2

Well Im ashamed to say we are still sitting with TWO reservations...one still for Standard AKL and one for Waterview CBR...its a house divided!! lol Surely it will be resolved soon and I can cancel one!! its 2 against two...hubby and 7yr old for AKL, me and 13yr old for CBR. Praying for a resolution!!! lol :p

I remember us getting a nice bottle of pink zinfandel and a bottle of Merlot ( not on the same night HAH) and they were round about $12 a bottle...not too bad and the wine was lovely! We do have a car but by the time you use gas to drive and find somewhere its not worth it..we just buy it at the resort too.

Anyone know where I can find a list of the water view rooms with a murphy bed? I have checked TP but they don't break it down for the rooms that have a Murphy bed.
We are hoping to be close to Old Port Royal and I am thinking about requesting Martinique. I just don't want to request an area that may not have a murphy bed since we are a party of 5.

:thanks:

Every building has some Murphy Beds except the buildings in Trinidad South.

Hey dansdad! I guess I am most concerned about water view rooms with a murphy bed. I was hoping to book a standard room but nothing was available for our dates. I know that there are a smaller amount of water view rooms than there are standard so I am hoping to find something close to Old Port Royale in the water view categories with a murphy bed.

I know 2 families that booked Water View and are parties of 5. One was in Trinidad North 31 and the other in Martinique 26. Just so happens we are all neighbors and are all outside doing yard work so I just asked them.

We almost booked AKL, as that opened up with my discount. On a whim I tried CBR again and it popped up, but AKL was going to be our second choice. It would have only been a few hundred more and gotten us out of POR.

Thank you Dansdad! I was so hoping Martinique 25 or 26 had the murphy bed since that is what I am hoping for.

Yay!! So glad you had a great time!!! AND that you decided for yourself and didn't let others' "OMG IT'S HUUUUUUUUUGE" comments scare you away!! I have never found it that much larger than any of the others I've stayed at - and it is DEFINITELY smaller than SSR (different category I know).

Welcome to the CBR family!! :welcome::daisy::daisy:
