Resort Thread Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH Resort

So you can't come in and grab a bottle of water or any kind of grab and go at the resort?
I have this same question. Are there no coolers for grabbing basics like milk or water or cereal? I know some resorts have little cooler sections with this type of stuff in the gift shop. Does CBR?

They do have a refrigerated section in the gift shop where you can get beverages and a few other items. I’m here now but I don’t remember exactly what was in there. I can take a look later on. Let me know if you want me to look for anything specific.

Thank you so much! I’d love to know specifically about milk, creamer (for coffee), dry cereal and fresh fruit. If you happen to be in there later and remember, that would be so cool, but no pressure! :)

It has been a long time since I have stayed CBR, but my grandson wants to stay in the pirate rooms so I will be staying there this July. Is there anywhere you can get a mug refilled besides the food court? I am assuming that will be only place because the freestyle stations will be closed? Also can you get to the Skyliner taking the road between Trinidad bldg. 34/35 and Barbarbos bldg 32?

In "normal" times Trinidad Guests culd take the short walk to Spyglass Grill and get a Refill, but it has not reopened yet.

Yes-you can walk right across the bridge to CBR Station.

So I took a look and they don’t have much. They do have milk and they have a fun pack of Kellogg’s cereal (8 individual boxes). I did not see any fresh fruit or coffee creamer. You can grab the individual coffee creamer and half and half cups where you get mug refills. I do wish they had the grab and go open. I have stayed at Poly, CR and YC since covid and they seemed to have much more available. I also like to “preview” my food. I want to see the cupcake before I order it. You cannot do that here. There are no food items in cases to look at or see samples of. It’s odd to me.

Thank you so much for checking and reporting back!

So I just booked a last minute trip at CBR in March. This is my first trip, so I'm now learning a lot after I booked. There are seven of us going, including 3 kids under six, and my parents, who have some trouble getting around. I booked pirate rooms without realizing how far they were from the main area, and they were the only rooms available on sale. It shows that preferred rooms are available at the regular rate, but that is significantly more that the discount rate. I plan on getting an ECV for my mother, but I was hoping she wouldn't need it constantly. Any advice on changing or upgrading rooms? Is it worth asking, or will they just quote the online price. Should I be worried?

DH and I are doing a resort-only Disney trip the first weekend in March. We are staying at YC, but one of the things we are thinking about doing is taking the Skyliner over to CBR/Riviera. Any suggestions on things to do? We’ll likely be there in the late morning or early afternoon (I’m thinking lunch at Riviera). I’m daydreaming about reading books on the CBR hammocks. Any other fun things to explore (that are open)?

Did you book direct through Disney? What’s online is typically what’s available but can change. We had a pirate room booked at one point but a standard opened up so we jumped on it. Keep checking or perhaps consider another resort if it’s that much of a worry.

The pirate rooms are furthest away but also super cute for kids. It’s still our son’s favorite room and he’s done everything from the Royal room at POR to Little Mermaid room at AOA to multiple one and two bedrooms. Your mom will be glad to have the scooter. I know second guessing is natural but you’re thinking of everything and it will be fine if you stay. Just keep an eye out and a call wouldn’t hurt. If the CM sees availability they’ll help where they can.

Thanks, I did book direct through Disney. They were really helpful when I called to book. These were the only moderate rooms that were available at the discounted rate when I called. I'm sure the kids will like the rooms. I'm also like that the resort has skyliner access. That seems like a big plus. I'll keep an eye out for openings. I know we will have a blast no matter what.

I would definitely keep checking for another room to open up. The availability does change pretty regularly as people cancel or modify trips. If all else fails you can certainly upgrade at check in if something is available, but of course expect to pay the difference. Honestly though, I think you'll be ok in the pirate rooms. The kids will probably love the theming and the skyliner is truly a game changer!

I'm going to keep checking, and try at check-in if I don't find anything. I know the kids will love the pirate rooms. The skyliner seems like such a big plus for this property too.

Another thing to keep in mind is that there are no elevators at CBR so you will want to call and request a 1st floor room.
