Resort Thread Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH Resort

I just read where they extended the Spring discount through June 12. Perhaps you can get the discount added to your reservation!! Good luck.
Thanks but they only had Pirate rooms left with the discount..Im hoping to score a little pull down bed as one of my kids the older one has Asbergers and wont sleep with the 7yr old.. if we dont get one I will go out to walmart and buy a blow up mattress for him :)

I booked with a pin code that was sent to my email address but was for my mother (They let me use it since it was my email.) but the Spring offer is a better deal as it covers all of our dates. I have been watching and checking the site religiously trying to get a standard room with the special offer too.

We are doing a split stay on our upcoming vacation (ending at CBR) - we have a standard room and I'd like to put in a request for close to busses and maybe even food court - is there a particular area I should ask for? Also, as we have never stayed at CBR, is it better to stay on ground level or higher up? We will have a stroller etc so I just want to make it easy as possible on us. Thanks!
Without paying for preferred room, Aruba and Jamaica are directly across the bridge from OPR, so the walk is 5-7 minutes tops to pool or food... I would highly recommend that you ask for a ground floor as there are no elevators and it's a pita to drag your stroller up and down stairs...

I know you can see the Epcot fireworks from CBR, but how is the view of the Hollywood Studios fireworks? Do you recommend a certain location for watching DHS fireworks?
We could see the fw from HS as well as Epcot's. I saw them from the parking lot in Aruba 51.

You can see both great from the main pool. Epcot's will appear to the right of Aruba, while DHS's will be over by Jamaica.

What does this pin code look like? what should I look for? in all of the 25 years Ive been going to Disney I havnt gotten anything

I think that the dates start on May 30th and includes June (and maybe more) months and include a free park hopper. I would love that upgrade as I have been debating getting hoppers for our next trip...however, the over $200 is what's stopping me.

We will be at CBR this Saturday, if anyone needs me to find out anything for you let me know and I will try. I know someone wanted the wine prices so I will take pics of that. We will be eating at Shutters Saturday night. Park days Sunday through Friday so not a ton of time at the resort but should be able to get info if you need something.

Can you please take pictures of the bridge that was recently redone? I'd like to use them in the opening information. And, of course, pictures of everything else and in between. LOL

Hope you have a great trip!

We'd love a review of Shutters. Thinking of making an ADR there for our September FD.

Also, if you use the bus system, how is it now? We are deciding whether to drive or use the buses.

Shutters has really turned into a hidden gem since they changed Head Chef about 4 years ago. We haven't had a bad dish there yet.

We may be odd but we love taking the buses. Even when we've had our car with us it never moves until we check out. They come quick, they are plentiful and CBR is very centrally located so most destinations are under a 10 minute drive. We find we meet so many interesting people while taking the buses. We feel they are like an attraction all their own. If you do feel like driving, just be aware if driving to MK you have to park at the Ticket and Transportation Center, take a tram to the front, then take either the Monorail or Boat over to MK. The bus will drop you off right at the gates of MK.

Hello everyone,
I read the topic for a month, and I'm very impressed by the knowledge of some members that are true experts ! I hope you'll be able to help me. I'll be at WDW with first timers in august. I've been to Orlando before, but it was at the Yatch Club (in 2009). For the next trip, me and my friends booked the Caribbean resort. Although the resort seems lovely and the new rooms pretty amazing, I have some concerns about the layout and the localisation of the room.

We didn't booked a prefered room, but we're gonna be 5 adults (so we need the bunk bed). Any idea what would be a good room number or area ? I requested the Jamaican section, buildings 45-46, but I'm pretty sure we'll never have it since there are only one or two rooms with the bunk bed in this area. As everyone, we're looking for the hidden jewel, close to the bus and not far from the main pool (let's say 6-8mn by walk). Do you have any idea what would be a good localisation ? I'm also worried about the smoking areas since I'm allergic to cigarette.

Ps : sorry for my english, I'm french :-)

We are flying in so will be using busses. I will try to pay attention to the new signs and their accuracy. Also it'll be crazy busy next week I'm sure so I will try to take notes on packed busses or not, just general stuff like that

Jamaica 45 and Aruba 51 are both great locations. Each of these buildings have 16 rooms with the Murphy Beds.

Every Village has its own bus stop so you'll be close to one no matter what.

Ask to not be close to a Designated Smoking Area.

Thanks for the advise. What about the size of the murphy bed ? You wrote it was a 63" x 30" bed, which is pretty small ! Is it suitable for an adult ? At phone, they told me not to worry, that it was okay for an adult since I was able to make my reservation for 5 adults. I'm still skeptical...
