I definitely wouldn't have received it without the email. I went to the online check in counter and said that I had already gotten the email saying the room was ready but wanted to get my gift cards. He checked my reservation and said that it was not on there for me to get the gift cards. I showed him the email and he went to the supervisor. He seemed annoyed, not at us, but at the situation. Ppl received the email that wasn't supposed to have gotten it so it was making more work bc they werent prepared for those ppl. He was very nice and we didn't even have to speak to the supervisor. Once he saw the email he took care of it.

We stayed at the Poly year before last during their destruction/construction and we were minimally impacted. Granted we did receive our request for a building I knew would be furthest away from construction, but I think it really is relative and depends on what type of person you are? We're pretty laid back so it was no big deal. We also had an experience last year at POFQ. During the middle of our stay they started tearing out the sidewalk that was in front of our room between the doorway walkways and the parking lot w/o us knowing they would be. We could still walk in the doorway walkways and had to walk around a few extra feet when going to buses or food court but I didn't think it was enough to complain about?

I'm glad to hear that you weren't bothered by the work at Poly. I'm very laid back, hubby is pretty easy to get along with too. I've been thinking more and more that we won't be too bothered by it all. I really need to stop overthinking things

You had to have booked a reservation by March 20th

You had to book on or before March 19 for dates after May 1. Some people staying before May 1 received emails that they'd be receiving them, too. It's due to the construction On property.

Hi everyone. I booked a trip to WDW and the CRB last week not knowing about the construction I will be traveling from Germany where we had snow this week and I am more than excited to get some Florida sun Coming from Germany I will sure have jet lag which means I might need an afternoon nap at one point I am wondering if someone can recommend in which village I should request a room to be able to get some rest during the day without being disturbed by the construction noise. Maybe Trinidad South? Btw I will be staying for 9 nights in a standard room arriving May 8th.

Since you have a Standard room booked you won't be able to request Trinidad South because those buildings only have Pirate Themed rooms. Jamaica 45 and Aruba 51 would be great locations for some peace and quiet. Plus they are our 2 favorite locations.

Sorry in advance for all the questions and if these are repeats. So I'm trying to do all my research in prep for FD. We've never stayed at CBR, so I'm trying to get the layout in my mind. So I understand most of Centertown will be closed due to construction. Is the whole building being demolished or just renovated inside? I assume renovated since there will still be some dining options available. For those who have stayed before...will you be able to see all the construction mess at Centertown from the main pool area? I've read that the gift shop will be closed. Is there another gift shop anywhere on property? Any other intel would be greatly appreciated in order for us to make our final choices.

CB Alternate Dining Options
Does anybody know what types of dining options will be offered (as in actual menus and prices)? All of the regular dining at the resort will be closed for refurbishment but I was notified that there would be a breakfast and dinner buffet. Where is that and how much does it cost? In addition there is supposed to be grab and go options. Does anybody know where and what types of food is offered? This info would be so helpful to me since I'd like to know if I need to make alternate dining arrangements.

That info is not available yet.

They are currently building the "Tent" for the Buffet area.

The 3 grab 'n go locations are not operating yet as well.

It's $5 per package. I had a small envelope delivered with magicband decals and they charged me $5 even for that. I also had groceries delivered through Safeway and that didn't come with a charge, just a tip when bell services dropped it off. Oh and Safeway has free delivery for first time customers if they have what you are looking for.

Thank you very much for reminding me of that $5 fee that they are charging now. They didn't do it last year September when I was at AKL/POR. I will definitely check Safeway out, thanks again or that awesome advice

My mother booked her trip last year. They sent an email but they sent the one for the Grand Californian in error instead. We called they won't resend the correct email but they assure us it is attached to the reservation.
