Ha! They are actually monkey cupcakes. Cupcakes with a banana cream filling with sliced bananas in the middle. I wish that there were money cupcakes!

There are money trees for sale at Walt Disney World though! They are sold in the store beside Kilimanjaro Safari and in the shop at the Polynesian. Guess they know that we all need money to grow on trees to keep going to WDW every year.

Finally got pics loaded and have time to write down our thoughts.

We were really happy with CBR. We were in Jamaica 46. It was super close to the bus stop. We spent a lot of time at HS for SWW stuff, and Jamaica was always the first stop coming and going. That was great! There were actually only a couple of times that it was not first...AK for sure and I think MK was a mix. We only waited a while once in the afternoon (for HS, and it actually was long enough to mess up some FPs, but we survived). And the internal bus for checkout was a bit of a wait. All in all, I was impressed with bus service.

We were also very close to OPR. I was able to walk over in the mornings, fill 4 water bottles and get a coffee, and walk back to the room in 10-15 minutes. The main pool was great! ODS and DH also liked the quiet pool. ODS had fun playing at the playground and the beach. He got sand pails from dinner at OPR. In fact, we ended up with four by the end of the trip. They gave them to us even when I ordered meals without them.

We had the privacy sign on all week, but MKing left a bag on the door with fresh towels, tp, tissue, and toiletries a couple of times.

The pnp was set up next to the door, in front of the connecting door. I moved it into the bathroom, and it worked well. It came with an extra sheet, but I had brought one from home for familiarity. Overall, the baby slept fine. Having the sliding doors was nice. I think someone asked about using a bathroom elsewhere. The quiet pool bathroom was locked the evening I tried to use it. I did stop at OPR a time or two after park before heading to the room, but we actually were able to use our room toilet. Since the baby had been asleep for a while, we had a sound machine going, and the toilet has a separate door, it didn't disturb the baby. He is usually a very light sleeper, but by the third day, he was so exhausted, nothing was disturbing him - toilet, tv, ODS with his lightsabers and blaster gun. Much to our relief, one room was not a problem!

Here are the pics of the pnp. In the bathroom, assuming all are the same, it slid right under the safe and iron holder, so be sure to remove the iron and keep the safe closed. It doesn't interfere with using the second sink at all.
@mickeystoontown I meant to tag you before. I wasn't sure if there would be any interest in adding the pnp pics to page 1, but you are welcome to if you like. :)

how many cribs do they have and what are the chances of them running out.

also when is the best time to ask for one, we don't arrive until Nov this will be out first trip with our son and he will be 22 months and probably still sleeping in one.

This thread is FANTASTIC! Thank you so much for all the wonderful pictures and information! I'm not going to ask you to add me to the list because as you can tell from my ticker I have a LONG way to go.

It actually refers to a long ago post where autocorrect changed monkey to money. At the time it seemed to me that since Disney is expensive that money cupcakes seemed appropriate at some level.

Memory Maker is way better value than DQ in my opinion!!

I agree that Memory Maker would be a better value...at least for us! Where did you see that the memory maker was included with your reservation? At one point I came across this information with my own reservation, but I don't remember where I saw it.

Add us in! A water view popped up for free dining on our dates (nov 10-19) so we switched from AKL, saved $2000 and are finally excited for trying something new!!!! I think we've decided to rent a car just in case, since the multiple bus stops and large resort (amount of people on the buses) scare us a little bit. Can't wait!!!!!

Since this is my first stay at CBR, what is the nicest village to stay at for standard view? I don't care about the location being near the OPR Centertown since we are going to have a car anyway.

Aruba, Barbados, and Jamaica are really nice. And I highly doubt that you will need to drive to OPR from anywhere in the resort. The drive and parking will take more time than just walking to OPR. The size of CBR is way overstated...a common theme in many of these threads. Take out Trinidad South and it is the exact same size as POR/POFQ. And unless you requested a Pirate Room, I doubt that you get Trinidad South.

Here is the map that you get at check in.

You're gonna get a different answer from everyone! I don't think that any village has a distinct advantage over another really. The theme is identical throughout the resort ... i *think* the only real difference is that the buildings are different colours depending on which village they are in. SO perhaps you could go with a favourite colour!! We found that being further away from OPR had it's advantages, perhaps a tad-bit quieter .. we were in the "last" building in Jamaica (42) and thought it was a perfect location. We enjoyed the somewhat longer walk around the lake and meandering over to the bus stop or parking lot didn't bother us in the least.

Have a blast no matter which village you end up in.

We have stayed in Jamaica 3 times and I hope to stay there again the is year. The walk is not bad to OPR maybe 5 mins with our stop and smell the roses child. There is a bus stop in the back. We have even walked to the customs house a several times and didn't think that walk was too bad.

It's a relief to know that the size may be over-stated. That's been my only concerned with CBR. Even though we're in a preferred room I just don't know what to expect in regards to proximity of everything. Every review that I read talks about how big the resort is....

Could I request the following for a room request? Or does it have to be more/less specific?

Top Floor, away from smoking area, Aruba

cj, I have had both knees replaced and my wife has MS. We are both over 50 and we have never had issues getting around the resort. It is at most a 7-9 minute walk from the furthest resort area. Walking to OPR and then back to your resort is less than 3/4 mile total. And if you do like my wife and I like to do each morning, take the scenic route, it may be a little more than 3/4 of a mile one way. Have never used the internal shuttle to get to OPR or the Custom's House. We start at Trinidad North, go over the bridge, go by the Jamaica section, then take the footbridge to OPR. It is a great walk, especially if there is a dew over the lake. So relaxing.

Great! I was worried about us having to haul around our tired 4 and 8 year old after a long day at the park. I feel much better about it now. Thanks

Smoking area? I thought all disney hotels are non smoking. Can someone explain the "smoking areas" if any, at CBR.
