Disney's buns

I too dis-like the buns that are now being served by Disney, the white buns they used to serve at CS were great, I could eat burgers every day with no problems, I won't eat them now, why would they change them for a bun that is suppose to be good in health, but taste so bad is the question. What is more amazing is, the people that will just except them and say they will not change them back, and to top it off think and say there is nothing wrong with them, I wonder what else these people eat, thinking it is good! That's amazing. I have seen where other huge companys such as Mc Doanalds and Burger King, even taco Bell have tried, so called good for you things, like the oil their fry's were cooked in, and after a while, with public complaints, things were changed.
All it takes is for the right person to say change them and it will happen, One person can make a differance. :woohoo:

I know the difference between good food and bad and am entitled to MY opinion just like you.Just because I don't mind the buns at all doesn't mean I am some culinary defective. As I said I don't eat grains at home and rarely eat them out, if I do I like whole grains, ezekiel bread ,sprouted bread etc..

Someone mentioned that the table service restaurants still offer white buns. So does that mean Sci-fi still has white buns? Or do they give you a choice? I mean the only reason why we are going there is for the atmosphere and hopefully good burgers..

I thought "Disney's buns" were cryogenically frozen with the rest of his body...

ha! I kill me.

Good one, Makes one wonder how walt would have reacted to the taste of these things they call buns, If it looks like do-do, smells like do-do, taste like do-do, I would bet they are Buns served by Disney CS.:rotfl::rotfl2:

Cosmic Rays used to be our favorite until the bun change. Now no thanks. We'd rather go off site.

Honestly I refuse to order any more Cheeseburgers and etc at WDW Quick Service Locations because of the Whole Wheat Buns, because I think they taste that bad. However the good thing is they have not made this change at the Table Service Restaurants, so it's great knowing I can still order the Angus Chuck Burger or Dinger Sandwich at the ESPN Club and get it on a White Bun.

Ok, this is good to know. Let me be sure though...if I order a burger at say Beaches and Cream or Sci Fi Diner, I'll still get normal, edible buns, right??

YES! One person CAN make a difference!! Thank you for pointing that out. Unfortunately that ONE person is the Disney suit responsible for purchasing....

So, just because the buns I got on my trip were not that bad, I don't know good food? Just because I don't complain about them doesn't mean I like bad food. It just means that I most likely got ones that were fresher, didn't fall apart, and didn't seem as bad as people make it out to be. That was MY personal experience with them... but that doesn't mean that I think horrible food is anything BUT horrible.

:thumbsup2 This! We didn't have any problem with the "taste" of the buns, it was the texture that made them easier to break apart that was an issue with us. So because of that we'd rather the old buns, but doesn't matter enough to us not to order burgers when we want to. And RMulieri, I agree with you also. We eat all whole wheat or multigrain bread at home - except for homemade white bread, will not eat store bought white bread.

I too found them to OK for taste, but yes they tended to fall apart particularly for things like pulled pork which is usually a mess to begin with.

Thanks for the heads up. I was thinking the last time we were there our buns weren't that great, that was 2 years ago exactly. I wonder if they switched that long ago.

I hate whole wheat buns, we leave in the morning.
