Disney has went to a good for you, nutricious whole grain hamburg and hotdog bun, that taste awfully.

How many have tried them and dis-like or like them is the question?Maybe if there is enough dis-like, Disney may hear us and change the buns back, they used to be really good:idea:

They are really nasty. I love whole grain bread, but these are so cheaply made, I'd prefer they just go back to white bread.

They are terrible. Maybe I should bring my own buns with me. I had several fall apart while I was eating them.

Between those and the nasty chicken hot dogs, you won't find me at Casey's anytime soon.

We quit eating hotdogs and hamburgs because of the buns.

I guess I got lucky, but I didn't find them all that horrible when I was there. I was expecting much worse then what I received based off of these boards. Like I said, I guess I was just lucky.

Tasteless, crumbly, mealy, dry, horrible, no good, very bad kind of buns.
Got my opinion? Lol. :)

We had the same experience as you; we thought they were fine.

1) Disney has told employees, they will not go back.
2) They are trying to find tastier buns.
3) But, whole grain or multi-grain will remain.

When did Casey's switch to Chicken hotdogs? Would that be what we'd had in September of last year? Pretty bad if I can't tell "beef and/or pork" from Chicken but had I known... gag... Chicken hotdogs really gross me out.

They gross me out too:sick:

It was before our May 2011 trip because I asked to make sure no turkey. It was maybe two three months before then, but not sure.

Also they are not 100% Chicken, maybe 60% chicken 40% beef.

This is not the first thread regarding the buns since they changed them a few years back..They aren't going to change them back..I don't mind them..But I don't eat grains at all at home and if I do out I like Whole grain.

Yep. Hate 'em. Avoid 'em. Swear to heaven that they are largely composed of sawdust. (For the sarcasm impaired- I'm joking here. a little)

But as the poster above and Rusty Scupper have mentioned, this is old news and we've already been told that there will be no return of the old wonder-bread style edible buns... sigh...:sad2:

The bun switch is supposedly for health reasons, but I'm betting the chicken blend hot dogs were just cheaper.

never noticed... might be because i simply rarely eat hotdogs and hamburgers there. i like my wraps :goodvibes i'll pay more attention to it next time i go!

Honestly I refuse to order any more Cheeseburgers and etc at WDW Quick Service Locations because of the Whole Wheat Buns, because I think they taste that bad. However the good thing is they have not made this change at the Table Service Restaurants, so it's great knowing I can still order the Angus Chuck Burger or Dinger Sandwich at the ESPN Club and get it on a White Bun.

I too dis-like the buns that are now being served by Disney, the white buns they used to serve at CS were great, I could eat burgers every day with no problems, I won't eat them now, why would they change them for a bun that is suppose to be good in health, but taste so bad is the question. What is more amazing is, the people that will just except them and say they will not change them back, and to top it off think and say there is nothing wrong with them, I wonder what else these people eat, thinking it is good! That's amazing. I have seen where other huge companys such as Mc Doanalds and Burger King, even taco Bell have tried, so called good for you things, like the oil their fry's were cooked in, and after a while, with public complaints, things were changed.
All it takes is for the right person to say change them and it will happen, One person can make a differance. :woohoo:

I always hop on these types of posts....Cause I hate their buns...I did ask some restaurant person...and he said they are not whole grain...but multi grain...big difference he said...and I said......JUST GROSS...
We are not hamburg eaters at home but always loved the double cheeseburgers at our resort and park locations...heck...last year we had our town car service do the 30 minute stop at a Publix store and I got some white buns...they were there in case we decided to bring a few to our food court and say skip the bun to them and get them over to our table and put the condiments on it and enjoy the burgers ...

So, just because the buns I got on my trip were not that bad, I don't know good food? Just because I don't complain about them doesn't mean I like bad food. It just means that I most likely got ones that were fresher, didn't fall apart, and didn't seem as bad as people make it out to be. That was MY personal experience with them... but that doesn't mean that I think horrible food is anything BUT horrible.
