I actually love an "old" showerhead. I don't like rainfall showerheads.
Ha Ha Ha, something for everyone. As a FYI each resort decides what is in or out of scope for each refurbishment. There is no one setup for every resort.I actually love an "old" showerhead. I don't like rainfall showerheads.

I was definitely on the Inn side, room 2339. This was the first time I've not had really good housekeeping at the Boardwalk. It was just finished with a major refurb in the June 2024. With the new flooring they just run a swifter dry mop around the room daily.
If they only emptied trash and replaced towels are you sure that you were not on the Boardwalk Villas side of the resort? They did not make the beds daily or clean up the bathroom or replenish your consumables?

That's great! That wasn't my experience so probably just a not-so-good housekeeper.I’m very surprised by this; we’re were there 3weeks ago on the villas side and were very happy with mousekeeping. They came every day and called my cell on a day when we were out but left the “in the room” hanger on the door inadvertently to see if we needed anything. Additionally, on check-out, my wife forgot her AirPods in the room. We were at Orlando airport and received a call before she even knew she didn’t have them and they were mailed and received within a week!
I didn't mind the showerhead so much as not having a wand to rinse off.I actually love an "old" showerhead. I don't like rainfall showerheads.

Sorry...yes they made the beds. It looked like the room needed a deep cleaning because there was a build up of dirt and dust along the edges of everything.@auntfrannie did they literally not even make the beds??? That’s atrocious!
I’ll be in cl just 10/28-29. I move to gf after. Can’t wait too! Visiting my friends before a family trip.6 more days!!! Excited and nervous! First time staying here. Inn side!

Boardwalk is truly only a shadow of its former self.Promenade Fine Art Gallery Now Closed at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort
After announcing its closure last month, the Promenade Fine Art Gallery is now shuttered and signs have been removed or painted over.
The shop was located outside the main BoardWalk building, between the BoardWalk lobby and Screen Door General Store. It’s one of three Promenade Fine Art Gallerieslocations, the other two being an open display walk at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and a gallery in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Cast Members noted that the company would still be around “somewhere,” leading us to believe that there will be a move to a new permanent location somewhere else at Walt Disney World.
The store was set to close on October 19, but this was our first trip to check on the closure. All signage has been removed or painted over and the windows and doors are covered. We do not know what will happen to the space now that it is closed, and so far no official announcements of a replacement have been made by Disney.
The company usually appears at the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, of which dates, details, and more were recently announced.
I am not sure that the Promenade Fine Art Gallery nor was the original Wyland Gallery really added much to the Boardwalk. But the loss of BRG, Jelly Rolls, Espn, and even Ample Hills that only had a short life did leave a vacuum aka a giant sucking sound of emptiness.Boardwalk is truly only a shadow of its former self.
