Resort Thread Disney's BOARDWALK INN Resort

Less then 5 minute walk with the YC & BC across Crescent lake. The Swan & Dolphin property start just beyond the Atlantic Dance building at the end of the Boardwalk by walking across a very wide pedestrian bridge.

Is the Dolphin/Swan within walking distance? if so, how far is it?
The Swan is about a 5-6 minute walk, from back to back. Add a few more minutes to the Dolphin. If you don’t want to walk, you can hop on the Friendship boat, which runs between the resorts, with an intermediate stop at YC/BC. The walk is quicker, but the boat is nice if the temps are uncomfortable or you have mobility issues. There is a bridge that needs to be crossed, that has a bit of an incline.

Yes, from BWV it’s literally a bridge apart. I think Swolphin is closer than Beach or Yacht Club. My mom stayed at Dolphin last time we were at BWV and it was so easy to meet up (granted our room was at the far end close to the bridge).

oh wow! thank you! I didn't realize Swan/Dolphin were that close! Gives us more dining choices within walking distance. Thanks again!
Oh yes, that’s one of the benefits of staying at BWV or Inn. They may not have a restaurant in the lobby, but they have many options within the Crescent Lake area!

And IF You have a park hopper pass all the restaurants in EPCOT are just a short walk away. The BW area is one of the best spots in all of WDW!!

I'm glad you mentioned that! I thought about doing that. Stopping somewhere for dinner and then heading back to BWI. We will be there during food and wine festival too so I sort of thought about stopping by the booths and even taking stuff back with me to BWI. Is that doable or?

I plan on ordering from Publix when I arrive. Can someone tell me which is the closest Publix so I know which one is best to order from ? Thanks in advance

Frozen whole pizza put on a conveyor belt that was burnt on the bottom and raw on top. It was like the oven needed to be calibrated. There was also little to no sauce on the two that we ordered.
Hey I talked to my daughter and she said she saw them actually make her pizza so it wasn't frozen. There is only one pizza window right? Not sure why yours would have been frozen.

Yes, doable.

But you've got a lot of dining options at BWI. We tend to stop at the Boardwalk Bakery if we want to bring something back to the room. Despite its name, it's more than a bakery.

Anyone know if you can order TS to go? With so few QS food options and us not doing indoor dining, I'm a little worried for our August trip. If we could order TS and just take it to the room to eat, that would be a huge help!

From what I'm seeing, only certain table service restaurants are offering to-go options. In the Boardwalk area, the Ale & Compass & Trattoria Al Forno have the option to order your meal to-go thru the My Disney Experience app. You would have to select your pick up time on MDE, then proceed with building your order. I do not know if they are offering walk-up to-go ordering. I don't know if other table service restaurants in the Boardwalk area offer to-go if you walk up & ask.
I know the Fountain at the Dolphin hotel had the whole menu available for walk-up ordering at their ice cream takeout counter even though it's not advertised. This is the only place I tried at the Dolphin in March.
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Hi everyone! I'm a Disney veteran that's never stayed at the Boardwalk before but it was one of the few resorts available for our dates the week after Thanksgiving. I booked a garden view room. If you could please share some tips and some of the things that you love about this resort I would appreciate it! We are used to the food courts at the values and moderates so is there a place for a quick breakfast and refillable mug stations? I am really going to enjoy the close proximity to Epcot. Does Les Halles open with the rest of World Showcase or does it open earlier? Thank you in advance for all of your advice!
