Resort Thread Disney's BOARDWALK INN Resort

We'll be back for Marathon Weekend in just a few months and with the Disney Visa Discount, upgraded to CL. Yay! We've stayed BWI CL three times before (and I stayed non-CL with a friend last year for a conference.) Our kids have been loving Poly and WL lately, but I'm running Dopey and made an executive decision to return to BWI CL.

We are going in March. 3 adults(mom, sister,and myself). We can stay BWI water view or villas 1 bedroom standard view for about $2000 less. How is the pull out sofa bed? How bad can the view be? Was really looking forward to water view but it is a large price difference.

Hello!

Can anyone comment on the hair dryers at BWV? Are they built into the wall? If not, do they have any oomph? Would make life so much easier if I didn't have to bring mine, but if the one provided barely blows, then I will need to. I have really thick hair.

They are not attached to the wall. The hairdryers are in a bag under the sinks. I think the hairdryer was fine for my shorter hair style. It had enough oomph for me. My daughter, however, has very long, very thick hair and it didn't dry her hair like her super, duper dryer she has at college. The hairdryer is definitely better than the wall attached ones at Pop Century, for example. If you have really thick or long hair, it might be worth bringing your dryer.

FLYING FISH REIMAGINED: ARTICLE AND CONCEPT ART​

Seashore Sweets', Yard Arcade and the retail shop at ESPN Club have closed to make way for new experiences. The BoardWalk Bakery is open.


DRINK REFILLS are available at BoardWalk Bakery, The BoardWalk Pizza Window, Leaping Horse Libations. Coffee, Coke, Diet Coke and Sprite refills are available at Belle Vue Lounge.

The Boardwalk Inn (BWI) began a room refurbishment in May 2014. All guest rooms received new carpets, tubs, vanities, drapes, daybeds and linens. The Innkeeper's Club Lounge (concierge club level) had some upgrades as well, photos are in the CL chapter.

The Villas (BWV) began a rehab in 2015 which has not yet been completed. It is slated to be completed 30 August, 2016.

We had water from Staples delivered and were not charged a fee. I called before to check and they lady I spoke with said there would be no fee. I had also heard the convention hotels like, Coronado charge a fee. But we were not charged at BW.

Thanks for the info. I read on another thread that the resort gift shops now sell a case of 24 waters for something like $6.99. Hard to believe since water was $2.50 s bottle last time I was there! Can anyone confirm if the gift shop at the BW sells water by the case for this price? I have also read that there is a gas station that sells water within waling distance of the BW?? This will be my first stay at the BWI. Thanks.

It does, we picked one up there a couple of weeks ago. It is the smaller bottles (12oz?), but definitely cheaper than buying them one by one.

Yes water is in the gift shop, but it is the small bottles.

Its a regular hand held dryer. I liked it so much that while I was there I ordered one from Amazon for myself. I needed a new one anyway.

Ok - I'm going to play a little roulette here Leaving mine at home and will see how the one in the room works out! I'll bring my flat iron (slim and easy to wedge in the side of my carry on rolling bag) as insurance! I love living on the edge! LOL.

I have a question.

The good news is that I just booked a week at the Boardwalk with the Visa discount. My twelfth resort, first Epcot resort.

The bad news is that the latest flight home is sold out. I'm currently booked on a 2:30 Southwest flight. I have a 9:40 Crystal Palace reservation. Is my pickup time likely to be 11:30? Is that cutting it too close?

I feel as though I just wrote a word problem for a math test. Sorry!

Yes, pickup time is 3 hours prior for ME and you will probably stop at other resorts so it takes more time to get to the airport than expected. I would probably do a CMC breakfast instead.
