You can use the fitness club to shower and change. We have done this on a few occasions. The facilities are to the right and rear of the fitness center as you enter. There are free, locked cubbies to store your dry things while you are at the pool.

Hey everyone!

I plan on staying at the boardwalk villas again later this year. If I'm staying onsite and I decide to stay and just enjoy the resort on my last day until late after I check out, does the hotel have facilities to accommodate changing clothes and maybe showers to use after going swimming while waiting for the magical express later in the evening?

We have used the restrooms off the lobby - heading towards the Bellevue lounge to do just that. No showers though I am afraid

We are staying at BWV for our first DVC stay June 2-9. We did not get our letter about the refurb but our guests did. We are staying in a garden/pool view. What should we request?

I'll be there as well! I received a letter too. I think the Villa side is just about done. I believe the Inn side is currently being worked on. We should be ok! Seems like the work is going to be during the day.

Just back from a very enjoyable stay at the BW...and just wanted to share..that while there were some walls up..and some work going on...it did not diminish our trip in the least...

Took a bunch of pics to share...will be back over the weekend to post some more...

I'll add your dates to the log. I believe all the BWV rooms should be rehabbed by then, but I will leave your request question to our BWV experts...

That is the porch area off the lobby that goes out to the BW. There's scaffolding up right now because they are doing some exterior painting.

The BWV rehab is slated to be completed "Spring 2016" so you should get a "new" villa.

I would think the boat horns would be more of an issue than Illuminations. You can always ask housekeeping for a box fan if you'd like to drown out some noises.

We have never been bothered by Illuminations or the fireworks from DHS. We have had a view of Illuminations from Village Green view, but the sound didn't resonate.

We are slated for last week of may and we received a notice that construction will be in progress. Usually if you run the fan on the ac it will create enough white noise to covert the sound of the fireworks.

I hope I get a rehabbed villa. I just made a reservation from 5/22 to 5/27 in a Deluxe Studio Villa. I told them I wanted the top floor. Is there anything special about the Deluxe as opposed to Standard--or are there no such thing as Standard Studios as BWV? I guess I'm not too concerned about location, but are there really any locations I should avoid?

Not the I'm aware of. Bwi and bwv are all good... I belive the living areas in the deluxe are larger. I perfer the ground level. Just easier to get in and out of the villas and Inn.

After rehab, I assume the 1 bedroom villas will still only have the 2 sleeping surfaces? The bed and pull out...no additional?
