I don't think there are deluxe vs standard, are there? I think they are all called deluxe studios? Somebody correct me if I am wrong!

Yes Deluxe studios are at BWV.

Just 3 categories which distinguish these.

1) is a standard view ---- cheapest points per night

2) is a pool/garden view ---- a little bit more ppn.

3) is a boardwalk view ---- same amount of ppn as #2.



#1 face the entrance area, and the parking lot, or the tennis courts.
#2 face either the Luna Park Pool, or the quiet pool, by Community Hall, or The Village green area near the main courtyard. or the river going towards HS
#3 faces basically the lagoon..On the Boardwalk..HTH

Anyone hear anything about a refurb at BWV?

I don't about the laundry question. But, I'm guessing that if you booked BWV on cash reservation, then you can use it.

We had the new bedding in October 2014. Not sure if a refurb is planned. Good luck and enjoy your stay.

According to Disney, the Inn rooms come with a coffee maker. I really thought they had the small refrigerators, as well. Which brings me to the "perks" I think a BVW studio has - a microwave, in addition to the fridge, coffee maker and toaster. There are paper plates, plastic utensils, and plastic glassware also. In other words, I like the Villas because it allows me to eat more easily, and more cheaply, in the room.

We stayed Inn-side Oct 13-15, 2014. We did have a refrigerator. I wish it had had a microwave, but don't at the Inn.

If you call Housekeeping and ask for a microwave they will bring
one to your room "no charge' if they have one available.

Sort of a silly question....my hubby has never been in the monorail. (Truth be told I haven't been on it since I was 16 ...and that was.....a while ago )
Anyway....I know it's possible for us to walk through EPCOT to get to the monorail ...we will have AP's so park hopping and tickets aren't an issue....we have a couple days we will be going to MK later in the morning or maybe returning to BWV to rest ....so I was thinking of taking the monorail for transportation rather than the busses....now.....

Is it more of a pain and a LOT longer to do this ??? I mean in my head it makes sense...but having not done this I just want to be sure that it's not just a really bad idea.....he just really wants to take the monorail ......

Yes, I've done it to get a ride on the monorail. I did the opposite in October. Leaving MK mid afternoon for a break, I decided to take the monorail and walk through Epcot. I was already tired and it was in the high 80's. I regretted it during the walk through Epcot!

Am I the only one worried about the trend completely eliminating any draw space in the studios with the fold down beds replacing the draws under televisions? VGF and Poly Villas have NO DRAWERS. Are we suppose to live out of our suitcases? And there is no where to store suitcase if you max out the closet. I have never stayed in a hotel room that did not have drawers?!?! As a mom traveling with two boys this feels like a disorganized mess!!! Will the rehabs at BWV bring the same situation?

The biggest thing will be the time to do this. I think it'll take you a good hour or more. The bus would probably take about 20-30 mins depending on how long you have to wait for it. So if you think of it as an adventure and part of your day to see Epcot again and take the monorail "ride", then it's fine and may be fun. But for transportation purposes only I wouldn't do it. You do get nice views of Epcot coming in on the monorail, so maybe hubby would like the long detour.

Unfortunately yes, the rehabs as per CMs and DVC reps. Have stated this will be taking place soon and be completed by mid August. I doubt that you are the only one concerned about this matter, but for us We'll gladly trade the drawers for the extra bed. We generally live out of the suitcases anyhow( at least my son and I) but the kids now 11 , will love the fact that they aren't sharing the pull out couch.

We have done it. We (DH & myself) don't do a lot in the parks because we don't do thrill rides. We usually stay at an EPCOT resort. We often just go and ride the monorail as an activity. We do everything possible to avoid the buses. We actually took that route when we returned from MVMCP. We went too early and the weather wasn't very nice so we left MK early and EPCOT was still open.

Remember that there is no direct monorail between EPCOT and MK. You have to go to TTC to switch monorails.

I am lucky enough to be returning and will be happy in any of the 10 rooms, but last summer we had one of the Deluxe Club Level rooms above the bakery but on the 3rd floor. We would love to try one of the 3 in the same area but try to get on the 4th floor to see if we prefer the convenience of being on the same floor as the lounge over the larger balcony. Can anyone confirm whether these 3 rooms (4225, 4227, & 4229) are still within the Club Level Keyed area and if so how close to the lounge are they? TIA

Yes, they are all within the Club Level Keyed area, and are very close to the lounge. About a 15 second walk for all 3 rooms to the lounge and that is walking at a slow pace!

I don't think so, but I am not plugged into any bus drivers to get inside information. BWV studio won't get more than 4 people (5 with child under 3). The 1 BR at BWV now permits 5 people (6, with child under 3), but no bedding is provided for that 5th guest. I would imagine BWV would try to add bedding in the 1 BR before the studio.

I hadn't thought of this in awhile, so thanks for posting. We usually don't get hoppers, but I think we are set for DVC APs next trip. I would certainly try this. Now, if there were only a way to get to AK without a bus. Hmmmm.......
