Resort Thread Disney's BOARDWALK INN Resort

Hi all! I wonder if someone could tell me where the outdoor campfire is held at the Boardwalk Inn? I couldn't find information about it. I know the movie is by the feature pool, but I wasn't sure where the campfire was held. Thanks!

I'm interested too in seeing what Christmas looks like at Boardwalk. We're down to 17 days, been planning for almost 300 and the girls have no idea still! Can't wait to tell them...on the way to the airport. :)

I have a few quick snapshots of some BW decorations.

Here's the tree outside of the lobby on the green by the Boardwalk. I snapped a pic quickly while walking to Epcot yesterday morning. [GALLERY=]image.jpeg [/GALLERY]

Outside Main entrance. I took it while waiting for DH to park the car.

The movie was held in the village green area by the Boardwalk when we were there in Sept. I don't remember any campfires.

Thanks! In May, the movies were held by the pool. Looks like they've moved. The November activities guide has the movies listed at the village green area. The campfire was daily at 6:30pm near Community Hall, http://www.wdwinfo.com/resortmaps/boardwalk.htm. Campfire is 'Y' on the map.

Walked out to the bakery and thought of you all and took another pic of the Christmas decorations, but the site is saying that it's too big to upload. I'm not sure why. I just took it with my phone like I did the others.

I highly recommend the bakery clam chowder in a bread bowl. It was the soup of the day and was very good.

Also, the movie was definitely in the village green area last night, as I walked right by it, so that appears to be the current location.

What did you end up with?[/QUOTE]

We arrived and never got the text about the room, so were escorted to the front desk, where a very nice, and VERY patient Angel from Puerto Rico checked us in....ground floor. We asked if we could switch to a higher floor, and after much searching and discussing with the room assigner, he finally told us that nothing was open on the Epcot side, but there was a 5th floor room available now on the other side overlooking the entrance from the boardwalk. We finally decided on that one, and imagine our surprise when we got to our room and found it was a water view...I'll post more later but here's a photo of our view...room 5277.[GALLERY=][/GALLERY]20151201_062537.jpg

That is quite an improvement from ground floor! We check in this Thursday to BWI CL, and I really wanted BW view (and a king bed since we're without kids this time) but after your CL stay where you were outside of the security doors (that I didn't even know existed) and VbChristy getting put in a cottage, I changed my only requests to close to lounge, inside security doors. We always spend a lot of time in the lounge, so I really hope they don't put us in a cottage. I'm sure we'll have a good trip regardless of room location. Enjoy your awesome view!

I can't wait to hear what room location you get this week! As you know we are in the same situation and are really hoping for a Boardwalk view but we also really want to be inside the security doors. I feel like I'm asking too much wanting it to be the same as all of our past trips were. I have awhile before online check-in but over the phone I requested both boardwalk view and inside the security doors. I hope you have a great trip and come back and tell us all about it.

Any word of the December movie schedule? I can only find the November schedule so far. Thanks!

Anyone there now to report if the slide is still closed and if theyre allowing guests to use SAB? We will arrive in one week!! AHHH!!
