I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I gave up going through the pages and just decided to ask instead.

We are going in September, when historically they have offered free dining - which we are really hoping for. Do I understand right that because this is technically a value resort only counter service fd is offered? But you can pay the difference for the upgrade? Does anyone happen to know what the difference is (would it be taken from the rack rate when doing reservations online)?

Our dilemma is that AoA would give us the space we need for two adults, three teenagers, and a baby, but that seems to be it if we have to pay the difference for fd. It would cost $1000 less to stay at CBR and we wouldn't have to upgrade fd. Decisions, decisions! I just can't believe a room we would be paying so much more for and has more space wouldn't be considered in a higher class than a cramped one room hotel room.

You would be paying the difference between adding the Disney dining and adding quick service dining. We did the same thing a few years ago when we stayed at pop. We were originally at Caribbean beach, but saved a little by switching to pop and upgrading

There is the Nemo-themed Righteous Reef Playground with slides.

Yup. Although with the standard caveat of "Times and availability subject to change".

I've never seen fireworks from Art of Animation. Can you see both Illuminations and Symphony in the Stars from the Generation Gap bridge? Is the view pretty good?

Yes,only the "high fireworks" of both shows,but it is still fun.

I think viewing Hollywood Studios fireworks from Pop/AoA is a real treat -- you get perfect view especially from the Pop end of the bridge. Last summer we saw the Frozen fireworks multiple times.

We are booked for the Loin King suites and we are a party of 6. My mother will have the master bed , so that will leave me and my 4 daughter to sleep on either the sofa bed or tablebed. I have herniated disc/sciatica, so i would need a comfortable bed that won't hurt my back too much. So I was wondering how comfortable are the sofa bed and the tablebed? Or do you think it would be better if we change to 2 rooms at Pop?

I have read so many good reviews on the pull out beds there. Most people say they are more comfy than regular room beds at other values and mods. We are staying there this May and I am hoping that is true. My daughter has Fibro and a comfy bed is a must. I had planned for her to bring her mattress topper. POP beds were super uncomfy to me- way too hard.

I am a large male, 5'11" and 268lbs -- due to all the working out and, sometimes stupidity pushing myself too far, I also have herniated discs and I also broke my neck in 4 places in a car accident. I slept on the table bad and it was perfectly fine....that was two weeks ago, so currently the table bed is comfortable. I don't think I would have been as comfortable on the sofa bed.

I agree with the PPs who have said the pull-out beds at AoA are very comfortable. I think in your case I would recommend the table bed for you as it has a slightly thicker mattress than the sofa bed (8" as opposed to 6") and it's higher off the floor so it's easier to get in and out of. Honestly, the queen bed in the master bedroom is much too firm for me -- I'd rather sleep on one of the other beds but don't want to give up the privacy of the bedroom. So I just fold up an extra blanket and use it as a mattress topper on the queen bed and that makes the bed a little more tolerable for me.

Does anyone know if checking in at the 60 day mark helps to get the room requests you can indicate online? We would love the lake view and close to transportation in the Cars Suites, so I checked those options. Hopefully checking in so early will aid us in getting that request!

Thanks for this thread. We just reserved a suite for next month in AoA (child's preference) and I'm just starting the search process. The most pressing matter at this time is where to eat there. Is there a restaurant there or just places for snacks? We are on the Dining plan (not deluxe).
