Disney's ART OF ANIMATION RESORT Thread

Just booked for 6/23-6/27! We originally had CBR but my dad insisted on family suite. XD

Are there any outside pool showers where the lockers are? I can't remember...

One more question: Are all the doors to the LM rooms on the outside of the building? I can't find any pictures or layouts of the buildings
1 - Mater
2 - Lightning McQueen & Sally
3 - Luigi & Guido
4 - Mr. Ray
5 - Crush and Dory
7 - Ursula
8 - Ariel
9 - Triton
6 & 10 - Timon, Pumbaa, Simba

Thank you!

Yes, the Little Mermaid rooms all have outside entrances. The suites have indoor entrances.

Are there four floors in each building or three? Dh has this weird thing with loving the top floor of hotels so I want to put in a room request, but I am not sure which floor to request.

I would word your request as "top floor". :thumbsup2

Hello All...just booked for myself & 4yo daughter at the AoA in a LM room & love the info I've found here!

1 question I didn't see before (my apologies if I missed it)...If I were to call for a taxi, how long for the wait? If time is tight to get to a booking I've read taxis are a good alternative, just wondered how much time to leave for this...

I have not stayed at AoA before, but my experience at other resorts has been great. I guess it would depend on how busy the Concierge Desk is, but once you ask them to get you a cab there should be one pulling up in under 5 minutes.

Thank you! Good to know

As dansdad advises, your request can be "top floor."

AoA has four floors per building, as does Pop Century. The three All-Star resorts have three floors per building.

How are the beds at AOA. Thinking of trying it this fall, we would have 5 adults, would this work ok or would we be better to get two rooms at Pop. I just really would love to stay at AOA at least once.

Is anyone able to post a pic/link for the activity calendar for April? Thank you in advance!

25 days until our arrival!

After a lot of pricing everything out and looking at photos and trying to read all the posts for the different resorts I finally booked and chose AoA for October. We are a family of 6 - I am hoping beyond hope the beds are comfortable (Nemo suite) and big enough for the kids to double up. I debated this like crazy, 2 rooms at Pop or suite at AoA. 2 rooms at CB or CSR or family suite (the difference was only $300). I ended up going with AoA because it seemed better for us all to be in one room and from what I have read AoA appears to be a great resort. I am going to keep my eye out for any discounts and then I guess I need to reevaluate to see if we can get more bang for the buck. For now I am convinced AoA is the right resort!

Doctor, I have a problem.

Split stay happening soon. Changed the first night 3 times. I went from a non-disney hotel to SSR, to POR... And last night I finally changed for a Lion King Suite at AOA.

We leave in two weeks. I don't think I'll switch (again ) before we leave.

(I can't seem to be able to keep a reservation for a very long time. I get anxious and keep wondering if there is something better...)

DH and I have never tried a value... I book AOA every year since they opened and I keep cancelling the reservation and we end up going somewhere else, every time.

But I think this time, I'll keep it.

There's a thread just for you!

The kids can definitely double up. I have a 15 year old and if necessary he could share with one of his younger brothers. We love Art of Animation! Hope you do too!
