No offense but what would you rather have? Dirty dishes sitting on the counter waiting for the cleaning services to take them or you having to take them to the food court or throw away plates you can throw away right in your room?

I'd take the reusables any day no matter what.

I think everyone has a point, but they do have to weigh several different factors. If they use re-usable, there is the water, detergent and labor to be considered. While paper/plastic products produce waste - is there enough of an impact savings to off-set the water and detergent waste of cleaning those dishes in those multitude of rooms?

I don't know the answer, but I would guess that Disney is doing a much better job than many companies. I would also guess that the solution is much bigger than whether there are paper plates provided in the suites.

We are headed to AoA on Dec 29th thru Jan 7. It's our Christmas present to the kiddos, but I'm pretty sure I'm more excited than they are. Thanks for putting this thread together, all the info is helping get us excited, and in the know. Still considering a split stay, but this thread has me wondering why leave?!

In the food court at AoA there is real silver and plates and plastic in the suites.

I agree - I think here it is a matter of practicality.

I'd take the reusables any day no matter what.

We did the Keys to the Kingdom Tour and were told that Disney recycles ALL the trash on property, no matter what it is.

Just got a great idea!

Ill be buying the kids Cars pillow pets to bring along when we stay in our Cars suite, I think it'll be a fun tie-in while we anticipate our trip! Only 107 days away!

They are now selling the shower curtains from the rooms for $99.99 in the gift store. And watch the arcade for games with free credits. We were there on Monday and our kids found several free games to play.

No, the Nemo pool is not a salt water pool.

Update - Apparently it does use a salt filtration system.
