I am hoping that someone who stays first at AOA will take lots of pictures inside and out for us:) Especially the kitchenette area..maybe even a little info on the size of refrig, what type of filters the coffeepot will take and what they think of the inside hallways:) Plus, any other pics that they think will make us drool:)

I hope we have a few takers . I would also like to see the menu boards ,pool pictures , the laundry room . Bus stop area I am sure others have things to other sites have a list maybe we need one .

Just got back from Pop this Sunday and they were working on AoA every day. I didn't get any pictures of it, as there were always trees in the way, but so far it looks really nice, can't wait to see it!

Official Disney video posted on youtube WDW news today

Cinderella 73 you did it again. Great job I am so glad your posting all of this . I am officially addicted to art of animation .:rotfl:. Were under 160 days . I think I will be glued to the boards opening day. We may have to have take out for dinner no time to cook I need to see everyone's post art of animation.

I was able to switch our reservations from POP to AOA LM with FD this morning!! I am so excited that I can't even stand it!! I'm so glad that I checked at 530 AM before I went to work, because it is not showing LM rooms now!! Now I just have decide whether I am going to tell my mom and my sisters, or if I am going to keep it a surprise!!

Hi, does anyone know if there are going to be any standard rooms in the Lion King section?

If they only have suites, I really don't need that much room for DH and me.
But, as I'm sure you can tell, I'd LOVE to stay in that section!

I also can't seem to justify the extra $377 for the 2 nights.
We will stay at WDW for 2 nights before our 7 night cruise.
[$630 for us in a suite, and only $253 for us in a standard room ]

If not, are the only standard rooms in the Little Mermaid section?
(We could stay in LM building 7 or 9 and be closer to the LK section)

No standard rooms in the LK, Nemo, or Cars sections -- those are all family suites.

Yes, all standard rooms at AoA are in the Little Mermaid buildings 7, 8, and 9.

Unfortunately they only put standard rooms in LM, which is also all standard rooms - no suites. :/

We are going 9/15-9/22/12. It will be me, DH, DS (6yrs old), DM and DMIL. Per the WDW site LM rooms are $97 weekday and $112 weekend in September which is the same as POP. The suites are $249/$279. So it's $55 more per night to stay in 1 suite vs. 2 LM rooms. So like Smitch425 said that is over $400 for a week!
A suite sleeps 6 but 2 rooms sleep 8.
I cannot understand why the suite is so much more. :confused3
I know it comes with a microwave and a dining area but is that really worth an additional $55 a night?

I am just really disappointed that the suites are so much more because they look very cool and I really want to stay in a suite but am having a hard time justifying the additional cost.

Either way I will just be happy to be in WDW. :yay:

Next time we go, we will have 3 kids under 10...I would rather have a suite for safety reasons....only 1 exterior door vs. two. I thought you were also never guaranteed two adjoining rooms :confused3

With your party, I agree it doesn't really make sense because you have 4 adults, but for most, I am guessing that there are 2 adults and then some children. I would like to sleep in the same bed and room as DH...if we got two rooms at Pop, we would have to have one of us with some kids and one of us with the other kid(s).

I also don't want to have the pain of figuring out which charges are going to which room (seems easier that we get overcharged somewhere somehow)

Do you think they messed up on that one?
Are there really that many guests needing suites, or people willing to pay THAT much more for a themed room in a value resort?
A standard room at a moderate resort is less, and a standard room at the AKL, a Deluxe resort, is just a bit more than 2 nights in a suite at the AOA resort.

Bummer.

Thanks for posting! The Nemo courtyard looks so incredible!

Ahhh!!! I am so excited!! Thanks for posting that. Love that the pool will have and underwater sound system. How cool is that?!?!

An under water sound system!?!? Holy cow! I'm so excited to go! :hyper:

Your welcome guys :)

If you go to wdw official site now to book you can see the site has changed a bit . I just got a email update and when I went to look sure enough.

The pics are not new ,but high quality ones you can enlarge with more angles of the room ( that we saw before) .

What I found funny is in the one pic in the LM room ( the one with the mom and 2 kids on the king bed ) the bathroom color around the purple mirror looks blue. Might just have been a early version I guess.
I a nerd for those details because I am totally into interior design . I am interested to see what the final final version will be. Just a couple minor tweaks I am sure. Still no sign of the fridge yet.

On the main section where you can click rooms notice there is a little arrow where you can scroll now to see more . Below that is the link for the rooms specifically. I didnt get to sit and explore much but if anyone notices anything new please post.

Gotta get to my :laundy: sigh....

Thank you for the new photos JCARWASH and that video was wonderful CINDER!!!!! I'm getting more and more excited. In just a matter of a day we'll be under 7 months. I promise that I will bring back tons of Christmas decor resort photos and I know that all of you going earlier will share lots of photos, too. I can't wait until May 31st!!!!

Still no sign of the fridge yet.

I just got off the phone from altering some of my reservation info. I specifically asked CM if there is going to be a fridge. She said that they have been told NO fridge in LM rooms. She did say this could change, since they are still 5 months away from opening, but at this time they have been told there are no plans to put them in.

Article by Jason Garcia in the Orlando Sentinel is covering how Disney is responding to customer feedback by adding refrigerators and free wifi to resorts:

Based on all the additions to the existing values and this latest report I'd be really surprised if they don't have fridges in the LM rooms.

Thanks for the new video. :-)

I don't think that the picture with the mom and 2 kids is a king bed. Look at the pattern on the bed spread. It has the same placement as the 2 full size beds. The bed must just look bigger because if the camera angle.

I had an idea of what the extra buildings maybe that are at the LM pool and Cars pool, a place to refill your mugs??? Just an idea I had. I know with the new system they did at ASports, it could be possible.

Does anyone have the link to the 360 pictures of the suites that I thought was on the WDW website? You could scroll and see the whole room and now I can't find it anywhere?!?
