After all this time I still don't know how to really post pictures. I took them off my old ladies FB album.

To sum up the pictures, the giraffe eyed us, came closer and then stuck its head INTO our safari vehicle. It was kind of funny, our CM guide was trying to keep everyone calm, telling us it was just looking around and wouldn't hurt us. I wish my picture was better but as I went to take it, the giraffe started to focus on me.

Hi! We will be at Kidani next year, 5/8-5/12. I love AKL, but have only stayed in Jambo so far.

I understand that Kidani has no QS, but there is a small "grab & go" store. What types of things are offered there - sandwiches, microwavable things, etc? Thanks!

We are renting points for a standard view studio in Feb. and would love to get one of the obstructed Savannah views on Kudu trail. has anyone had any success in getting their request using the system, particularly with DVC?

ETA: Where is the "list" of who is going when kept? I would lvoe to see who is traveling the same time as us!

We did not stay DVC but in October we used the Touring Plans room request fax to get a "people pen" savanna view for our standard room at AKL. We requested 2230 - kudu trail, second floor and we got 2374. A little farther down the hall but a GREAT view! Certainly better than parking lot, which was another option for the category we booked. Good luck!

We're staying at AKL March 28 - April 2 for our daughter's 1st birthday. I'm just wondering if anyone has stayed there with a 1 year old before. Did they seem to enjoy it? Is the hotel kid-friendly for infants?

So, I was just able to score a Wishes Dessert Party for Christmas Day [tons available right now by the way]! yay! Problem is, I have a 6pm Crystal Palace (Which I love, and have been really looking forward to Christmas Dinner with Pooh), and if Wishes stays at 8pm (which seems insanely early), It seems like a waste to do both. Which would you do? I have done about 5 parties before the revamp, but none since the price hike.
