Resort Thread Disney's ALL-STAR SPORTS Resort

@dansdad Ahhh...that makes sense. Thank you so much! I'm looking forward to having a cocktail with my DS (22) when we arrive the first night.

I again, Disfriends,

We are headed to AS Sports for a quick stay August 11-15 and we are looking forward to exploring a new-to-us resort. We have challenged ourselves to staying at all the resorts on property at some point, and so this trip helps us check the AS Sports box. I'm traveling with DS (22) and DS (20). For lovers of AS Sports, tell me why you love this resort, and tell me what we have to check out while we're there. Also, are there any words of caution or things to avoid at AS Sports?

Thanks in advance!

I love All-Star Sports and just returned from a stay there,BUT I have to suggest taking the short walk over to Singing Spirits at All-Star Music for a drink.

Singing Spirits has a nice seating area that Grandstand does not have and they always have some great music playing.

Really relaxing spot.

@WEDWDW ooohhhh...this is exactly the kind of intel I'm looking for. Thank you! We stayed at All Star Music for our first trip to WDW when our boys were small (back in 2011). We went in January during a cold snap, and DH and I never had a minute to sneak out and get an adult beverage, nor would we have wanted to sit outside due to the cold temps, so I have no memory of Singing Spirits. How does one walk from Sports to Music? I'm thinking this is the perfect thing to do in the evening after we arrive.

Walk down the football field, score a touchdown-continue through the baseball section, hit a home run,and once past the baseball section you will be in the parking lot between All-Star Sports and All-Star Muisc.

With your dates you should be fine, but pre-Covid,July was the HUGE month for The 15s(LARGE Tour Groups of 15 years old South American girls) at Sports and this July was the first July since Covid that they ware back in those huge numbers.

For that reason some Guests avoid Sports in July so you may want to consider that in future trip planning.

Here is one group from last week-they had 200 total divided into 4 groups when touring the parks.

The 15s,like it or not,are BACK!lol :)

We just moved our one night at end of Nov from Movies to Sports. Will only be there about 12 hours, so saving $36 seemed worth it. Flights were cheaper on Friday even with the cost of room. Then we move on to DVC. Haven't stayed in about 20 years.

This is an excellent tip. We are hoping to stay in the Homerun section so it’s a short jaunt to Music. Thank you.

We are booked for October. Originally had planned on POR, but my mom decides to come with us again and so we needed two rooms instead of one. And went with a low price point as we don’t really care about the hotel as more than a place to sleep and a pool. We did go with preferred rooms.

Request Building 6/Close to Stadium Hall.

Some of those rooms are SECONDS from the Food Court!

Looking to get some breakfast options delivered to the resort. The first page of the thread says the resort has refrigerators is this still correct? I know some resorts have beverage coolers. I didn't see the info on the Disney site and would hate to have some spoiled yogurt on our hands so wanted to check first :rotfl2: . TIA!!!
