For all my Sports homies:

Update on my knee surgery. Surgery went smooth yesterday just there for ever and a day. Went almost 24 hours with food or drink. Didn't get a chance to speak with the doctor afterward but upcoming appt. is this coming Thursday, the 24th. He did speak briefly with the hubby and said that there were a few tears in the meniscus that he trimmed out. The best news being that my arthritis isn't as bad as it looked on the x-rays and MRI.

So he shot me up with lidocaine during the surgery. Yesterday when I got home I started walking better right away without the assistance of my newly acquired cane. I was feeling really good. Well this morning the lidocaine decided to wear off. YOWZA!! but the pain isn't as bad as before the surgery so I can deal with it.

Cant wait to get back to the gym.

We will be arriving November 15-22, and I am getting super excited! I was really nervous about staying here, but all of the mods were booked. So we decided on this resort and paid to upgrade to the DDP with one TS. Saved a ton over the LM room we had booked at AOA. My youngest DS plays baseball, football, and basketball so I know he'll be thrilled with our choice. And I did splurge on a preferred room so we could be fairly close to food court. Is a pool view available for preferred rooms here? We had a view of nothing but woods at Pop, and DH was less than thrilled!

not all preferred rooms have a pool view.

Surfs UP are the 2 preferred buildings and some views will be parking lot (backside of building), other hotel buildings, greenery and pool.


you can request a pool view and preferred building.

My boyfriend and I will be staying at sports from Sept 17-22. Cannot wait! I requested to have a top floor, view of landscape. I'm not too worried about walking as long as it means I get a quiet night's sleep

I hope you are doing better too. Don't try and do too much. I know a few people who had a similar surgery, and didn't let themselves heal. All that causes is more problems. Take it easy!!

doing great, walking without any help. The pain is almost gone. It feels a lot better than before. Starting a little therapy on my own. Going back to the dr on Thursday, the 24th for my first check up.

Thanks maxiesmom. Got to admit taking it easy is not easy for me. I feel great and have to remind myself to take it slow. My steri strips fell off so now all you see is two little tiny holes where he put the camera and other tool in. Amazing what modern technology can do.

Going back to work on Friday I hope. Can't use up all my vacation time, I have to get to Disney.

46 more days!! I'm so excited and so happy my sone will wake up in wdw on his 5th birthday! I did online check in and requested touchdown and close to transportation! We will only be there 3 nights so hopefully we can get our request! It probably will be our last value for a while! My mom sis and I are really considering buying into DVC so we shall see!
