Resort Thread Disney's ALL-STAR SPORTS Resort

Sorry that I confused the 2 of you. I typed one thing, while I thought another. Don't you hate it when that happens?

What I meant was what's the difference between a standard room & a preferred room? I mean, the inside, does it have a kitchen or anything of the sort, or is everything just in one big room (minus the bathroom)?

Thanks for that link. I was looking for something like that, but I couldn't find it. I guess I didn't dig far enough to find it.

I'm guessing all of the rooms at ASSp have been refirbished by now, correct?

Hello everyone. I'm new here, and I really hope I'm doing this right. Haha.

Anyways, my family and I are going on our Disney trip on Sunday and we'll be staying at the All Star Sports resort at Disney. I was wondering if they have a gym/work out room here? Or maybe a running trail nearby?

I gotta stay in shape. :woohoo:

From what I've read there is not a gym there, and to use a gym elsewhere is $12. Other than that I really don't know.

There is no gym as ASSp. I suppose that is one way they keep the cost down.

:flower3: WELCOME!!!!!!!

We too are going to ASsports, leaving next Tuesday!!!!!!

HAVE A GREAT TIME!!

P.S. I think all the walking at the parks will help keep you in shape :rotfl2:

No extras at the values.

They do have walking trails I guess you can job on per my passporter.

I don't know, isn't walking the parks enough?

I thought of doing my morning walks/jogs there too, but I don't want to tire myself out.

I asked this question a couple of pages ago and was told there are marked paths for walks and jogs - however, have also seen that it's 1.5 miles to mcdonalds - running for a mcgriddle may be a nice way to start the day - haha!

have a great and safe trip -

we will be staying there 8/21-8/28 and very excited about this first trip as a family to wdw!

We are taking our first family trip to WDW in Sept. We are doing quite a few character meals. We have a few breakfasts sched that are before the parks open. We're staying @ ASSp. Does anyone know what time the busses start running? I'm assuming they start running before we have to be to breakfast...any advise? The last time we were there it was over 5 years ago and it was just my hubby and me on our honeymoon...times have changed!

Thanks everyone for your answers! I do think that walking around the park is enough, but I'm on the varsity swim team..so I work out..a lot..and yeah. Haha.

TwiddleDeeTwiddleDum- That's cool! :D Maybe I'll see you there. [even though I have no clue what you look like. lol.] I will be the crazy freak getting up at 6am to go running. :D Haha.

You have a great time too!!!

Only two days left!! Ahhh!!

We'll be there around the same time. Awesome!

As far as the pools go there, is there one pool that is less crowded? Also, are they heated pools, or are they just heated by the sun?

Well I've read the folks in DISboardLand put LimeGreenMickey's from Home Depot on their backpacks/cameras/etc to ID themselves. So look for those & who knows, it might even be me :wave2: So be sure to wave!!!! I'll be the nut coming in from closing the park from EMH when you're getting up to run :lmao:

Have a great trip ::yes::

I thought I saw/read somewhere that instead of individual soap/shampoo/conditioner bottles, the value resorts have dispensers in the shower. Is this true? What about lotion? Anyone happen to know what scent the lotion is?

I'm a bit particular, so I'm probably going to bring my own soap/shampoo/conditioner anyway. But usually any lotion will do unless it's a scent I really can't stand.

All Star Sports has the individual bottle of Shampoo and a bar of soap. I do not remember if they had lotion or not.

I did not like the shampoo very much but the soap was fine.
