Model Suites

I will be staying in a FS with my nephew in Aug. '08. I am reading through each page of the thread (I'm on p. 15).

I like the model above. I think that would work well if my sister is able to join us as she would have the sofa bed and my nephew one of the twins. I like the idea of the half wall there. Has anyone stayed in this model? Are there anymore like it? What do I request?

I did not post those photos, but I sure could! Our room looked exactly like the photos-so I assume most rooms do! There were 5 of us and we have plenty of room-it was one of our best stays yet!!!

lucky for me I took a picture of our room number! We were in 656, on the 3rd floor facing the pool in the Calypso Building #10........our location was awesome and very quiet!

Have ressies for family suites Jan 1 -8th!! Waiting to see if i can get some kind of discount on the rate. I have already gave the deposit, its a room only ressie, no pkg. Just curious to see if Disney ever gives discounts on the suites? I'm paying $184 a night, $207 total w/tax. I'd definetly like to get some kind of discount!! I know Jan 1 - 8th is during the value season. Does that make a difference on wether i would get a discount or not?? Thanks!!

The last several discount codes that Disney has offered have included the Family Suites.

Thank you for this info. Third floor facing the pool is exactly what I want! Since you were in building 10, did your room # start with 0?

Yes it did........0656 on the little green star! We were close to the corner of the building, I cannot remember if there were 1 or 2 rooms between ours and the corner.......so the stairs were close........the elevators were not too close, but we only used them when we had our luggage-and the parking lot was not close either, but once again we only went to our car at check in and check out!

Thank you for that update! I am going to request that suite and see where it gets me. If we don't get that one, I will hope for one close by.

You are such an asset to these boards!! The info and photos are great!!! I would love to stay here on the Fri and Sat nights when DVC points are a bit much

If by comfotable you are referring to the pullouts I found them to be quite comfortable.

The pull outs are not your ordinary pull outs and are quite comfortable.

They were the most confortable pull out/convertable sofas/chairs that I have ever tried.

Both the chair and the ottoman open into beds. The chair opens to a twin size bed and the ottoman opens to a “junior” sized bed….about the size of a cot. The bed and the chair are amazing designs. The kids will think they are cool and Disney’s competitors are going to steal this idea. Watch for different versions of this to spring up everywhere.

The sofa opens into a double bed.

Here is a photo I took of the pullout chair when we stayed at All Star Music September 21.

Notice the seat and back of chair support the foldout bed.
There are no metal bars running under your back area.


I laid down on it and it was very comfortable.

In fact I was so happy with the fold outs that Iwanted to buy a pull out sofa and chair for my spare room but they are made exculsively for Disney.

Just curious if anyone recalls any room #'s that weren't suites near their suites? I have a friend and her daughter coming and staying at Music with us but obviously in their own room and I'm hoping I can get her a room as near to us as possible. THNAKS!

I just stayed in 2556 (jass building 2) My MIL was in the room next door 2555 and my BIL was around the corner in 2554, both of which are regular rooms next to the suites.
The first time I stayed in the family suites, we were in the Jazz 2 on the first floor by the parking lot and my FIL was in a regular room 2 or 3 doors down.
Just call disney reservations and have them link the reservations.

I have the ASMusic Family Suite booked for next December and got a 20% discount on the portion of the trip that is in the value season. I am paying about $150/night + tax.

We used AAA and got the Family Suite for $147.50 a night vs the $185.00 rack rate. We'll be there Jan 12-19

It's been a little while since we have read any reviews about ASMu Family Suites...has anyone been recently? How was it? We have booked for Oct. 08 and are VERY excited! I am really looking forward to staying here!!!

Thanks for the info and the pictures. We had a 1BR Villa booked at AK for a March 2008 visit. After seeing the pictures I called and there were suites available at All Stars! You saved me $1400!!!! The rooms are just enough space to have your own space at the end of a busy day.
