Resort Thread Disney's ALL-STAR MOVIES Resort

Ah! See! I knew you took a photography class.. well, maybe not in high school! Well.. it paid off! :) I can't wait to see more pictures from you. Just let us know when to look out for it. I don't want to miss it.

Do you ever take pictures of the windows/doors decorated? I would love to decorate my window on our next trip. I have been to Disney plenty of times, but never done it. I'm excited to start making stuff for the window!

I do have a Trip report going on right now. I have a ton of pictures in it...but that trip was 3 days at Universal and one at Magic kingdom...I am working on the MK day right now. It's the first link in my signature.

I will be heading down again in Nov.

I have occasionally taken window pictures...but not a ton.

Thanks Jen.. We also go to Universal.. I'll check your trip report right tight now! ;)

i arrive in august. just had a question on the beer. in 2006 when i last went to disney, the poolside bar at movies sold a tall souvenir cup. I forget the price. it was a tall cup about 2 feet high or so, and i was able to refill it with beer at a discounted price. I still have this cup today. does anyone know if they still offer something like this? it actually saved us quite a bit during that week on beer at the bar..once again i forget the prices but it was a good deal....i doubt they will let me bring my old one, but still a good deal to purchase a new one...(im not talking about the normal souvenir cup that you get with the package to use in the movies restaruants for drinks)

sadly it was discontinued. we got one in 2005 and i finally threw it out before we took the kids a few yrs ago. i thought oh he can get another one there when we go back. only to find out they stopped it. boo.

Do I have this right?

WiFi is included in room price
fridge is included in room price
rooms renovated in 2011

Thanks!

Does anyone know if they still have cherry coke for the refillables? We all love cherry coke but its a rarity at Disney (dont know why).

I read on the blog that some of the resorts (including OKW, BC, and AoA) have brought back more "resort-themed" merchandise at the resort gift shops....shirts, water bottles, magnets, etc...does anyone know if All-Star Movies is doing this too??

Looks like it! Here is a picture I took of the soda machine at All Star Movies in June 2012

It may be in the works but there is nothing at the Movies yet according to my friend that got back about a month ago.

Here are two from June:

Awesome!! Thank you so much!! I love having the fridge. This way we use our drink and dessert from lunch at the food court and eat it for breakfast the next morning! That way all 3 meals are paid for with the dining plan!

Hey everybody. I have a question we just booked a preferred room for the end of August. My daughters love toy story. Should I request to stay in the toy story section or is it better to see all the toy story things when you are in another building looking out your door and windows. Is it obstructed when you are actually in the section you enjoy the most? Hope this ? Makes sense. TIA

My preference is to actually stay in the TS wing. Everything is a bit spread out so we liked being near the TS courtyard. We walked over to the other sections. I don't think you can see the courtyard from any other buildings.

Does it matter what floor you are on? Is it better to request a top floor? In your opinion

We were on the top floor (rm 9911) and we liked it. We didn't face the courtyard but could see it when we walked over to the elevators. If you are lucky and you get a room where you can see the courtyard, I think it is better to be higher up since Buzz and Woody are HUGE!
