Just booked Movies preferred room for 10/30-11/5 We are a family of 4 with 2 kids 6 and 2!! We are excited as this is our 1st stay on property but not 1st trip to Disney!

You'll love being in the "Disney Bubble" 24/7!!!!

You won't be disappointed! Make sure you take time to walk around the buildings and have your camara handy!

On our trip in June 2015 we were super excited to stay at AoA because it was the newest value resort and because of the themes. We are only a family of 4 so we just booked a regular room and not a suite which put us in the Little Mermaid section, which is great too. The downfall and why I don't know that we'll ever stay at AoA again, was the crazy long walk from Little Mermaid to the main building/transportation! It just wasn't worth the walk in the heat after a long-long day.
We've also stayed at Pop Century and really like that too. For our next trip (hopefully) in November 2017 we were thinking about going back there because we enjoyed it, it's cheaper than AoA and we liked being closer to the main building since both times we stayed in a decade that was close.
After reading through a lot of posts in this thread I'm now thinking All Star Movies may be our best bet for November 2017. I'm liking what I'm hearing from everyone, the pictures look great (thanks btw), we don't spend much time at the resort anyway and it honestly doesn't look that different from the other value resorts. Plus...IT'S DISNEY!

Don't be disappointed if you get the one you didn't ask for ... both the Dalmations and Toy Story are VERY close and a very short walk to check out the other area. You almost HAVE to see it while walking to the pool and the food court area.

I'm going to assume all the resorts have elevators, but I just want to clarify. Are there elevators in all the buildings or since i'll be using an ECV do I need to request bottom floor? I usually like top floor for less noise.

All the buildings have elevators.

They do share sometimes. They are the last of the three all-star resorts.

The buses may be shared during less busy times of day, like in the middle of the afternoon. During peak busy times the buses will (or should) be dedicated. If a bus is shared then Movies will be the last stop for both pickup and dropoff.

Can anyone please tell me if there are rooms at All Star Movies that have king beds which are not designed for disability access?

According to Disney, every room with a king bed is handicap accessible. We stayed in one of these rooms once. The only real difference is that there is no bathtub, just a roll in shower. And that was fine with me because I only take showers, not baths. Because there's no tub, I think the bathrooms actually look and feel bigger.
