Hi Everyone!

After 65 shows and 7 times in the Hotseat, I AM A MILLION-POINT-AIRE! I'll appologize now to the moderators, I am posting this in all the places where we have discussed Millionaire.

I still can't believe it! If any of you were in the 4:15 show today (May 13th MOTHERS DAY), I would love to hear from you!

The winning question was what lady came up with the idea of "Mother's Day".

I used my life lines on (50:50 - 250,000) (Ask the Audience - 500,000) & (Phone a stranger - 1 Mill)

I won a trip for 2 to New York City for a taping of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, a Leather Jacket, Medallion, 14 Pins, Hat, Polo Shirt, & CD-ROM.

For those of you that haven't been to the attraction in MGM Studios, you need to go!

I appologize for not being more specific, but I am still in shock!

WHO WILL BE THE NEXT MILLIONAIRE?

Disney really has added pixie dust to this attraction!

P.P.S. Hey guys!! I'm a new person!! I came here and registered like a couple weeks ago, after my friends told me to come, but I haven't felt the urge to post yet.......I've only played WWTBAM uhh....lemme see about 10 times?? yeah......and I'm "hot-seat"less

well, Congrats again!

Hey there-

Congradulations from one millionaire to another. Seems like you have been tryiong very hard to get into that hot seat and win the big points. Luckily it didn't take me quite as long. Congradulations again! Enjoy your trip to NY. Hopefully I may see you up here in New york!

Mike the first millionaire

Hey Mike!

You were # 1 or # 2? (There is still dispute whether I am #4 or # 5 as there was a winner in soft open which some don't count.

I am 22 years old & a FL Resident.

Mike, email me if you get a sec, when is your trip scheduled?

Jonathan

Hey there-

I havent gotten the dates yet for my visit to New York. In response to the dispute, there was one millionaire during the soft opening, however, I am the first official winner. I believe the winner during the soft opening didnt get any of the prizes or the trip

What are the odds that two of the first four millionaires would come from DIS members?

Back by popular demand!

Hey guys, Thank You SOOOO Much for all the congrats!

Everyone has been interested in the exact questions, and thanks to friends who have emailed, I have the 500k and Million Point Questions. If any of you were there, or know someone who was there, I would love to hear from you. I would especially love it if you would just write a little overview of what happened. I was in to much shock to absorb anything, and they did not tape the show. I would love to hear your thought, and any questions you remember.

The 500,000 Point Question was something like:

What famous fashion designer was credited with popularizing the little black dress? (Coco Chanel)

The Million Point Question was:

Who is credited with having the idea for Mother's Day (Julie Ward Howe)

From all indications they are booking a trip for the first millionaires in early June. Mike, looks like I'll be meeting you!

Everyone asks what my first emotion was, so here goes the 10 sec synopsis. I answered the 500,000 point question and the audience what getting LOUDER AND LOUDER! (and it was getting darker and darker) Jim, the host, mentioned how exciting it was and he had never had a millionaire on his show. I asked if he had ever got to ask a million point question, he said no and he was getting nervous too! The audience went NUTS! He then called for complete silence. He then asked the question. I had no clue, but heard the audience begin to click as they entered their answer. I began to think about how I would not be allowed in the hotseat again for a year, and wondering if I should walk away. The 55 secs was winding down and Jim was begging me to talk it out or use the life line. The audience was begging me to use the life line. To buy more time in deciding whether or not to answer I called a stranger. The call went out to Mickey Avenue and I read the question. I was shaking and my voice reflected it. The stranger didn't know, and time ran out. Appearantly they did give me the correct answer after we had been disconnected. They thought they had given me the million point answer. I continued to debate walking away and saving NY for another day. I told the audience that I was split between 2 answers. Something kept telling me it was D - Julie Howe, but Elizabeth Cady Stanton had originally looked good. The air was charged and no one said a word, breathed, moaned, or anything. I finally decided to answer with 85% certainty D. Jim was very kind and didn't try to trick me or suspend the moment (I think I already had)...HE YELLED "PACK YOUR BAGS!" and everything WENT NUTS! People screamed, jumped up and cheared. My friends flew out on stage for hugs and High 5s. But the first thought was, its over. 1 month of my life is over! After 7 short visits to the Hotseat... I shook for 2 hours and walked around like a Zombee.

I have now fully read the official rules, waivers, and forms. I have not seen that as an official rule. So maybe its not true! I will not be nearly as obsessed as I was, and would have no problem walking away prior to the Million Point Question. We shall see. If not, I guarentee you will see me there next mother's day w/ Mommy this time Playing WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE!

From other times in the hotseat, I have 1 - 32k complete set and 2 - 1k complete set of pins & prizes which I have been trading or selling to Disney Cast Members or other ineligible folks. Visit the Collector Board for more info.

If you have questions about the show, I am more than glad to answer. But please lets keep this conversation in this thread. PM's and emails are cool too!

Jonathan

Once again, congrats Jonathan! (It's me, Kevin, if you don't recognize me)

I can give you a few descriptions of the events of that particular show. I got in the hot seat first and went down on the 8,000 point question (I've gotten to 32 before, so I was pretty ticked, until Jon got in the hot seat). I decided to get my prizes afterwards and watched the show with my dad and my two brothers. As we were watching, it seemed like a regular show, until Jon got past 32 with all lifelines intact. Up until then he'd been quiet and reserved, but now he was loosening up. After every fanfare that starts the question and turns down the lights, he kept saying "it's dark now", "it's really dark now", etc. My dad kept whispering things to me like how Jon was on fire and that he was very lucky, too. We were afraid he'd go out several times, but each time he got it right (and our chances of making it into the hot seat next were messed up, since we got the answer wrong...). Finally, at the million dollar question, it was pitch black. My whole family was leaning forward, wondering what would happen. We knew he couldn't get the million dollar question right - that just doesn't happen... Does it? I don't remember if I was closing my eyes or that it was just so dark, but I really don't remember seeing anything, just hearing. After the unfortunate phone-a-friend that didn't give us any indication of the answer at all, Jon decided to take a stab at it and said D. "PACK YOUR BAGS" was what I heard, and I thought I had gone to sleep from closing my eyes and dreampt that he got the million points. I finally realized that I wasn't dreaming and ran down on the stage to high-five him, followed by my dad and brothers. There was confetti everywhere, people screaming, and mass confusion and the glaven. We ended up being yelled at to get off the stage by a cast member, so we grabbed our stuff and went outside. I was so happy I forgot to get my pins and hat from earlier. We stuck with Jon instead of getting back in line (and since we had to wait for him to be done before I could get my hat), and I saw the most beautiful jacket ever. Just earlier, we had been asking each other who we thought was going to make it to the million first. I said my dad, dad said Jon, Jon said Andrew (my 13 year old bro) and Andrew said me. Now dad and I have got to make to the million too - we both want to be next because, well, why wouldn't we want to be the "Sixth Million Dollar Man"! Haha, that was a joke, get it? Like the 6 Million Dollar man? Lee Majors? Okay, yeah, I know, it's for points and not for real money, but anyways, Jon, congrats once again, and I hope the rules don't keep you from playing anymore, it was so much fun playing millionaire with you!

Well Congrats!! thats great!!! I went to NYC 2 weeks ago(that was for our band trip) and it was great!!! I love it there!!! Hope you have a great time!!! I cant wait until our next trip(about a year from now)I wanna play WW2baM!!!

Rob,
I think I was there to see that! Was your million point question about Who Shot JR?

I was #2 on the list to be in the hot seat during that show. I was #1 and then after one question moved to #2.

Congrats to you all!

As if you haven't heard this enough, CONGRADULATIONS! Well, since the ride is barly 1 month old and 5 winners are already going to NYC, do you think they will replace the trip with another prize?

I think that more likely they will make the questions more challenging. To the winners: Does Disney provide transportation to NY or just the tickets to see the show? I havent been to Millionaire yet because I am still upset that i cnat play.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

The show was not opened on my last visit in January, and I am looking forward to it on my next trip in Dec. Again, Congratulations! :)
