Is Disney Quest worth the $$$$?

My son would love it but he is only 11 so someone else would have to pay the $40 entrance fee to accompany him. Or do they have a non-participant ticket?

Personally we all hated it and couldn't wait to get out of there. We went in the afternoon in July. You couldn't get on anything barring we did queue for 45 minutes for the pirates game which was okay.

We didn't pay to get in because it was part of our Ultimate ticket. I think there is only a standard charge for entry because you don't have to show anything once you are inside.

Perhaps in non peak times when you can get on things it may be better but all it is really is a gloried arcade and we would rather be out enjoying the actual parks.

Thanks, thats pretty much what I thought!

Now I just have to convince my son!

Where is it located? I can't see it on any maps of Downtown Disney Westside or Marketplace.

We have been 3 times (use search I have replied to many threads on it) and love DQ. But went at Xmas and did not enjoy it half as much with all the lines for eveything.
If you are going out of Season then its worth the money. School hols I would say no, or if its raining a lot head for DQ.
1st time we went we expected to stay from opening for about 4 hours. We actually stayed until it closed.
Depends what you and your DS like to do. Personally I have never been to fairs, arcades etc neither has my DS so DQ was something different for us.

it`s on the west side opposite house of blues and next to virgin. If you are planning on going to the waterparks a few times get an annual pass that includes disneyquest(these seam to be only available at waterpark or disneyquest)Think cost $130 plus tax.So 3 days in waterpark and 1 evening in disneyquest cost covered. We get one if we have 2 overlapping visits in 12 months. As we stay at SSR we send kids when we are getting ready then pick them up later, there is a discoumt for dvc think its 10%

My teenagers enjoy it but if they wanted to go aga in I would send them in on their own & perhaps meet them in there later. I wouldn't pay for admission for DH & myself

We went in Feb, my boys , 8 and 5 liked it but I hated it and wandered round the shops instead. There were long queues for the rides like the Pirates one so they didn't get to go on them. They enjoyed the design a rollercoaster one. We had ultimate tickets so it was included, but would not have paid extra for it. But it may well be an 11 yr old's idea of heaven!

We've been a couple of times (my DS is also 11) and it is boy heaven but it does get crowded. Unfortunately very few parents who take their children there seem to place any value on manners and subsequently we have found our DS has been shoved pushed and barged out of the way when he has been patiently waiting his turn for a particular machine and it isn't always the children who behave like this there have been a few grown men doing the same thing :confused3

I remember when it first opened many moons ago and everything was state of the art. found that its a bit old hat now and was really disappointed last year to find many of the games and machines out of order and in disrepair.

i suppose its still ok when its raining but not worth the entrance fee at the moment. last time we went there was a rumour that it was closing down???
dont know how true that was

We really like DQ. The kids loved designing the roller-coaster and then being able to ride on it in a simulator...we bought the video and it's so funny to watch ( although a the staff weren't sure if it would work in the UK but it did). We found there was loads to do and planning to go again in June.

They have been saying this for 2 years to my knowledge. Will it ever happen? I think it will eventually because they dont spend any money on it, but its dragging on.

Last time I heard it as closing down sometime in 2008.

I got all nostalgic and upgraded my AP to premium so I could go visit a few times (briefly!) as I do enjoy Cyber Space Mountain. I am also using the upgrade to go to the water parks - think it has already paid for itself before our October trip :thumbsup2

Hi,

Been to Disney Quest twice now and i love it everytime i go. Its great for all ages. I am 23 and my whole family love it ranging in age from 16 - 51!!!!!
The only problem with it is that you don't realise the time when you are in it and go in when it is light and come out when its dark!!! ha ha ha!!!

You have to try it!

We went last May for the first time. Me, DH, DS 12, and DS 10.
My two sons love playing ps2 and stuff like that so i had no doubt that they would love it. However my DH hates any computer games so we thought that we would only be there for an hour or two until we all got fed up with DH moaning.

However we ALL thought it was great. There are all sorts of things to do. DS 10 loves sports so he had one floor full of sports games. There was something for everyone. You can even learn to draw a character.

If you are going try not to go in the evenings or on a wet day when it is very busy. We did this and had very few waits appart from pirates which i think has a queue no matter when you go, but it is worth the wait.

We can't wait to go back in July 07 and DQ is definately on our list of must do's.
