DisneyQuest to Contemporary

What is the best way to get from DTD DisneyQuest to Contemporary Resort?
We have a PS at 7:40p and were planning to go to DisneyQuest in the late afternoon. The transporation whiz say it is 22 minutes by cab and 53min by Bus/monorail combination. That seems too long! Any suggestions?

You should be able to take a bus directly from downtown disney to CR. Catch the bus at the Pleasure Island stop (from DQ just walk around the right hand side of Planet Hollywood and it's up ahead of you). I don't think the monorail is involved at all!

All you need to do is take the bus from the DTD area right to the Contemporary. It would not be a bus/monorail combination. The bus stop for that area is not too far from Disney Quest. The bus may stop at one of the other resorts, but I'm not sure....sometimes the Poly or the GF share a bus with the CR.
I would give yourself a good 45 minutes from leaving DQ to arriving at the CR, just to be on the safe side. A cab would be faster, they are easy to flag down in the area.

Actually I would give myself longer than 53 minutes. I'd give myself an hour at bare minimum. The last time I took a bus from the Contemporary to DTD it took an hour to get there. The bus stopped at the Grand Floridian and Polynesian to pick up and drop off other riders. Sometimes the bus will stop at the Marketplace. If you can swing it, take a cab. It will get you there much faster with less hassle.
