DisneyQuest One Day Ticket Question?

I bought (4) Disneyquest tickets for my brother and his family for Christmas today. I hope these tickets are good until he can use them. What's this I'm reading about 1 day tickets expiring after today if not used by a certain date in January? Is that just for the main parks? All this new ticket media stuff is making my head hurt.

The expiration on one day tickets is only for the theme park tickets and only for the 1 day/1 park, 2 day/2 park or 3 day/3 park tickets that are purchased from now through 1/1/05.
